Anthony "Tony" Thompson is a seemingly normal guy until his life steadily falls apart around him. His sanity begins to slip as he loses time and doesn't remember parts of his day.
Jenny, his strong-willed girlfriend, attempts to stand by his side until he pushes her away too. Tony has to fight past the mental and physical injuries of his past to prevent himself from spiraling even further out of control.
Will he be able to prove to Jenny that he can stand strong by her side and save his family or will he be too late?
Interesting story of a man with a prophecy expanding generations. The narrative of flashbacks and action scenes are impecable, I felt I was immerse in the story. I'm a fantasy fan and this book exceeded my expectations. It has romance, steamy scenes, mystery, thriller, mystical beings, found family, self discovery, unexpected pregnancy, some misunderstanding along the way but with a hea. Highly recommended to anyone that want a modern fantasy novel with a dash of supernatural creatures.
This is my first ever novel I started many many years ago, but I never thought it was good enough. I finally began practicing my craft until I was confident enough to share my work. At which point, this story was shelved for what became my debut novel. And then I felt I owed it to my first novel to rewrite Tony and Jenny's story. And that is what you have. I hope you enjoy their ups and downs.
This book had me hooked right from the beginning and I really didn't know where it was going until it got there. I don't think I've read a book with alot of romance entirely from the male POV so it was very different seeing everything from Tony's perspective and not from Jenny's. Both Tony and Jenny were wonderful characters and I loved how well they communicated (for the most part). I was so nervous for the ending and it had me gasping multiple times. This book was really different for me but I loved it.
This book was different, starting from the POV of a male and all his thoughts. At the beginning I felt like it was a matrix lol, but I liked how good the communication between both characters was. The near-ending was shocking, well I didn’t expect the emotions ups and down!! Thanks Kris for a copy of this book in exchange of my honest review. Happy release day!!!
I got my hands on this as an ARC from Kris and was blown away. Their first book was in 3rd past tense, so I was surprised to find this 1st present. But it was a good surprise.
We follow the life of Tony as he steadily loses his grip on reality. Through personal troubles and mental instability. But he fights with everything he has until he learns he can’t do it alone.
This story had everything. Spice, action, suspense, mystery, and banter.
Highly recommend! Not nearly as epic as their debut novel, but I still devoured this one quickly. A must read.
