Damn, another great story. Anxiously awaiting the next
Not sure if it's the military aspects of mixing modern(?) American service units (82nd airborne, Delta, SF, Ranger, AF, Seals, etc) and blending them into a sword and sorcery that entice me, or the linking of Thor with Sato and Alluria and their story, but it's a great read.
Jason does it again a titillating tale that makes you want to go to the gym and the gun range. Good solid airborne infantry tactics and a good study on people and their motives. Thor is finding his edge with good logistical support from his old unit. This story would be much different without Carl G and my favorite beltfed the Saw Max reminiscent of the older M60 machine gun. Always good to have a working version of the Max and unlimited ammo. The 82nd, they don't get much love when you mix them in with other tier one units but they deserve it because what they do in this book is exactly their mission even with Spartan swords and shields. good read.
The Sgt Thor series just keeps getting better with each book. It would be nice for him to find some happiness in addition to finding another edge. I understand that’s his character, but we all burn out sooner or later without experiencing some level of personal happiness
I love the SGT. Thor series. An space does a great job of keeping you interested and invested in his Characters. Thor is no exception, he, Sota, and Aullar are wonderful characters we crave to find more about. This book is a great read, I like how An space I clues real historical characters. Can not wait for the new.
I love both military science fiction and "traditional" high fantasy... so this series seems like it was written specifically for me. The Sgt Thor series reminds me of Conan the Barbarian novels.
This series is a fun series and reads like a Dungeons and Dragons adventure with friends.
One of the best books in the series. A wonder that some could keep traditions alive so long in a world so changed. I would like to know what eventually happenef to thosr brave warriors who went back to their time.
Enjoyed the tale even more than the previous book. The description of the Spartans as paratroopers was a great & historical story of the time honored 82 airborne soldiers.
This started as just a nice little bit of escapism. The character has really progressed and there is a lot more depth. Now it’s a good book with a character I really like
Felt really pulled along like the story was a big raid event buta group of low Lv chacthers with no knowledge of the lore were placed in events that really didn’t have a great meaning to them then it was just a time edge.
My love for the sword and sorcery genre began decades ago with Edgar Rice Bourroughs. Thor brings me back to my youth. I can’t wait for the final installment!
