I am a paramedic. It’s the core of my being. It goes deeper than the adrenaline rush of life-or-death call. Every shift lets me end the day with the knowledge that yes, I helped someone today. Except I can’t help anyone when people are shooting at me! Slade Hutchson, that rabble-rousing son of bitch, is back in the city with a new job: supernatural correspondent for a local TV station. A position he’s using to poison the entire city against me. And if that’s not enough: the spirits of the land are waking up pissed, Cliff is panicking about joining the pack, and Oh! I’m fey oath bound to get married! This is really not the time poke this werewolf with a stick. But that’s exactly what Slade’s slander is doing. If I can’t figure out how to cut through his lies, then my pack and I will be run out of town with torches, pitchforks, and assault rifles loaded with silver bullets. It’s gonna be a blood moon alright.
Daniel Potter has always been inspired by the mysteries of the world. His early interest lead him to become avid researcher as well as gamer and writer. After obtaining his PhD in vascular biology, he began exploring fictional magic and spiritualism using his own particular scientific lense. Daniel published the webcomic Walking the Lethe from 2010-2012 and is an active member of the East Bay Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers Meet-up group. His debut novel, Off Leash, is just the first in his Freelance Familiar series. When he's not chasing his imagination, Daniel works as a vascular biologist in the Bay Area. He shares an apartment with his wife, two cats, and a large collection of video games.
MOONSILVER TRANSFUSION is the fourth installment in the Full Moon Medic series by Daniel Potter and happens right in my old neighborhood. The writing flows smoothly, pulling the reader into the story. I really enjoyed reading just how 'Weird' Portland can be.
This was my introduction to Daniel Potter and I enjoyed the story, although often confused by "who, what, why" as I hadn't read the previous books. This fourth installment jumps right into the action. So to fully enjoy, you really need to have read the earlier three installments.
This is really a battle between Good, Bad, Fae and Humans, Hate and Love.
Intense with lots of twists and turns in this epic battle. The characters are unforgettable. It loosely follows today's ideas of controlling people's reviews with aggressive retoric, especially against a subject or certain types of people. Don't be brainwashed people. Time to think.
Abby’s journey into holy matrimony is fraught with roadblocks and hate from every direction.
Slade Hutchson, the rabble rousing son of a devil, is back in the city with a new job.The anti-supernatural correspondent for a local TV station (my KATU). A position he’s using to poison the entire city against Abby and really all paranormals. All Abby wants is to get married and save lives. But she's got to save the City first. The Spirit of Portand insists
Well written and keeps you wanting to see what happens next.
There were a few too many spelling/grammar errors for my preferences (-1 star)
I received a complimentary advance copy of this book from the author.
Be prepared to give up everything else you thought you were going to accomplish when you start reading this book. I thought I would just read a little, to just get started. Hours later, way past my bedtime, I wasn’t giving up until I had read the last word and discovered the last secrets this book held. And now that I know, I want to shout them from the rooftops, but that would ruin the enjoyment of everyone to read after me. I don’t want to spoil the best parts of Abby’s journey into holy matrimony; and the author’s made that particularly difficult since I now consider the whole book the best parts. This story has also introduced some new concepts and complications that I’m very curious to see how they’ll play out in future books. Bring on the words! I need to know what happens next. I received a complimentary advance copy of this book from the author.
This end was bittersweet only because it was the end. I hope that there will be more stories with these characters to come. That is how much of an impact this story, this series, and these characters have had on me. If this is the end, then I will still be satisfied, but I want more. I want to read and experience more from this world that the author created. I have come to love everything about these stories so much! I think that I can say this is the best series of its genre that I have ever read! So my recommendation comes with a ton of praise!
I love reading book that take place in places I know. I LOVE this series SO MUCH, it is always full of action, intensity, and surprises. This one is no different. I loved the solution regarding Slade and Nigel…even though a teeny bit of me wanted retribution. I also LOVED the wedding. I mean, how could you not? The writing of Daniel Potters flows effortlessly, entwining the reader and subtly pulls them into the story. Masterfully done.
I almost gave up on the series after the first book. Boy am I glad I stuck it out. What an adventure! I hope to see this series and the pack continue to grow in the future.
Crazy things are happening! Slade and his brother start reporting on the pack and their neighbors. They turn others against them! Abby and friends are fighting to protect their territory. Read to see what happens.
