Paisley McKee He’s my best friend’s brother. He’s also overbearing, bossy, and stubborn. Obviously we hate each other. Then something happened. We said it was a one-time thing. The next morning he tells me it’s forever. He’s unhinged. But he makes me feel things I’ve never felt before. Can I believe him when he says I’m his?
Kieran Roche She’s irritating, sassy, and she hates my guts. Not at all my type. At least that’s what I thought until I had her. She’s turned my world upside down. Now she keeps pushing me away, and it’s not going to end well for her. I’m a man who gets what I want, and I want her.

Love this series...each new book and couple is a great addition to the Syndicate Kings world. Kieran and Paisley were a perfect match!
I'm not normally an enemies-to-lovers trope girl, but theirs fit and wad more denial on both their parts. 🤣
I adored Paisley, she fit in with the other girls so well. Strong willed, stubborn and a totally sassy brat. Loved it!
Kieran and Paisley had pasts that really tugged at my heart, and the levels they both go to prove/show their dedication and commitment to each other, swoon!
A great blend of Mafia, Daddy Dom, and humor made this an immediate add to my forever collection!
Ladies this is a Enemies to Lovers but also a realization of hidden feelings. I have to say that the banter in this book is subpar. I found that Kieran's dominance in the way that he spoke to Paisley was very endearing even though it sounded a little abrupt I found it to be super sexy. I also feel like you get to see two people that are very much broken because of people in their past who have done them wrong but they show each other their compassion and understanding for those reasons . Overall I have to say Karen's book with Paisley is my new favorite and I also like that you get to see a part of the side characters like each side character you get to see into their minds as well like there's clips of like what's to come for them. I definitely would recommend this to anyone I do believe that it is a lot lighter than the other books in series. That is just my opinion but I do feel like the way Kieran talks is a lot more dominant than the other main male characters in this series. I also feel that there is a lot of denial within this book and that just makes it even better. The inner dialogue is really well written in this book. I also can say that with this book I had more of a giddy and giggly vibe just because the amount of banter and give and take that both of the main characters showed. I'm looking so forward to the rest of this series and Cage's book because of snippets in this book so I am beyond stoked for the rest.
Possessing Paisley is the fourth installment in Kate Oliver’s Syndicate Kings series. In it she chronicles the romantic journey of Paisley McKee and Kieran Roche. Roche is part of the leadership of the Irish mafia. Paisley is an investment broker. Kieran is rich and uses the same firm that Paisley works at. Her best friend Chloe is in a relationship with DeClan, the leader. They all live in the Irish Mafia compound. Kieran is attracted to Paisley. They become involved when both are at a party and Paisley wants to escape a nasty encounter with her ex-boyfriend and the woman he cheated on her with. She pretends Kieran and she are in a relationship. Their relationship begins that day. However, due to their personalities a lot of sparks ignite. At work, Chuck, her supervisor wants to encroach on her newest account and tries to bully her. Will Paisley succumb to Chuck’s veiled threats? Will Paisley and Kieran find happiness? To find out more about their journey, you must read this book.
Ms. Oliver does a great job utilizing literary devices. Her dialog, both conversational and internal monologues, are outstanding. Readers get a fuller understanding of their backstories, their pain, and their happiness. Her lead characters are multi-dimensional. The secondary characters are also interesting and the camaraderie between them and the lead characters is enjoyable. This character-driven plot line moves at a nice pace.
I think I can honestly say that Paisley and Kieran is officially my favorite couple in the Syndicate Kings series. They started out “hating” each other but everyone else could see the chemistry between them. Paisley is a perfect fit for Kieran as she does not bow down and let him steam roll her life, and in turn she reassures him she is with him for who he is and not his money. Kieran is a growly protective daddy that will burn the world down for his little. Also side note - the names that the girls come up with for the make-up line is ‘ absolutely cute and I’m sad I cant actually buy it
I loved this book! For those of you looking for a d@ddy k!nk book without age play, here ya go!
Paisley has had to stand in her own two since she was a child, and her stubborn determination makes her so strong, yet so vulnerable. She pushes herself way too hard and doesn’t put herself first. Thankfully, she’s caught the eye of an Irish mobster who can change all of that 🩶
I love these books so much. They give me the daddy vibes I love without age play which I don’t mind but I love it more this way plus mafia? Yep. These aren’t dark but still give a possesive protective H.
Really fun read and I liked seeing a ddlg/cgl relationship without age play. Not as much action as I was expecting from a Mafia book but I liked that Paisley had a full life with work, friends, etc and her dynamic worked into that. Good amount of spice and I loved the bratting. Highly recommend!
A low 3 stars I feel like the author is more and more are forgetting the whole dynamic that used to be a main part of her plots. I expect more than just her calling him daddy and he spanking her, from a book that is supposed to be about dd/lg? All the people in this book does is work, work and have sex ir get spanked. There is no little-ness?
I just feel like im a bit disappointed, and if the author wanted to write a mafia book, she could have done that instead?
I enjoyed it, but some of the writing wasn’t very good. especially about the girls starting their own business.
While I did enjoy the book, there were a few major plot mistakes, and some small spelling mistakes. The author expects us to believe that the three women manage to create two separate make up ranges and a whole new business in TWO MONTHS. 😂😂😂 Wouldn’t happen especially as Paisley works full time as an accountant and often works 14 hour days, then comes home and works on the business. When exactly does she eat and sleep?
The book is way too short at 208 pages and they ‘hate’ each other till page 76. So 34% of the book is them two snarling at each other which is really irritating! There’s a lot of things crammed into the remaining pages and it felt rushed.
Kieron is Chloe’s brother and ever since him and Paisley met they’ve not got on. Kieron bosses Paisley around and she annoys him as she’s a strong independent person. That all changes when they’re both at the same event and he pretends to be her fiancé as her ex is there. At the beginning of their relationship Kieron is smacking her bottom for a lot of different things, it’s a bit overdone. They’re soon madly in love and everything is hearts and roses. Except I didn’t feel their love, or their chemistry. I think it’s because they went from hating each other to loving each other in such a small amount of time. There’s no dating, or gradual build up of their relationship it’s just them having sex and they’re in love.
One final complaint and it’s my usual gripe. He has an*l sex with Paisley without any preparations!! 😡😡😡 I hate that! If you’re going to write about an*l sex DO IT PROPERLY!!!
Having said all of that I did enjoy it, it just wasn’t my favourite.
- a mafia romance! dark romance, age gap, daddy k!nk, hurt/comfort, instalove, found family, best friends brother! - hehehe these two are going to be TROUBLE and i loooove it - her work is making me feel very icky - they denied their feelings for FAR too long in my opinion - okay but that party was FUUUUN - their first time was EXPLOSIVE - not her sneaking out 😂 that scene was SO FUNNY - two spankings in 12 hours?! damn - i hard core love that they both said fuck it let’s give this a go - i love that he calls her his little demon hehe - their backstories are both so sad man :( - okay her boss acc being really nice and owning up!! love that for Paisley!! - DAMN THAT CAME PUT OF NOWHERE - BUT DAMN OKAY PAISLEY YOU GET HIM - i am sad we didn’t get any torture scenes with Chuck and Adam tho - okay but why did their love confessions make me cry, that was so frickin sweet - Paisley being a badass at that party was EVERYTHING - god i am SO excited for Cage’s book next month!! - i also really think Patrick deserves his own book!! after everything he’s been through - honestly not a lot of action in this one, expected there to be more! - the letter was really nice and i’m glad she didn’t forgive her brother right away - and the ending was super sweet!!
🖤Mafia 🖤Enemies to Lovers 🖤Daddy Dom 🖤Found Family
Possessing Paisley is the fourth book of the Syndicate Kings series of interconnected standalones. This is one of those books that makes your heart happy. I loved everything about it! Paisley is such a firecracker. She is sassy, independent and isn’t afraid to stand up to Kieran when he is being over the top bossy. Every one of their interactions had me giddy. The push and pull between them and the tension was delicious! I loved how strong Paisley was and proved she didn’t need a man…she wanted Kieran but didn’t need him or his money. Kieran is like the other men in this series…bossy, possessive, and protective. He might be broody and dangerous but he is a complete marshmallow for his girl. I also love the girl gang that is going on. They are all sassy and love to start shenanigans just to get a rise from their men. This series just keeps getting better and better and I can’t wait for more of it!
Omg Kieran and Paisley were so amazing!! I loved the battle they went through before finally finding the chemistry between the two of them. I loved this book so much and seeing the other couples as well. I resonated with Paisley so much with her bratty, spooky and gothic vibe. It felt like I was reading about myself. Kieran and Paisley are my favorite couple but all of the others are still fantastic. I was more to their story and to see their wedding night with the punishment she was promised. I feel like the banter between the two of them, even when they were at each other’s throats, was fantastic and this man is filthy. Also finding out about both of their traumatic past that shaped them to not wanted to date was sad, but I’m so glad we got to see them find each other.

Omg another smash hit by Kate Oliver. One of the best series. Paisley so use to taking care of herself moves in with her best friend Chloe and her husband Bash. Chloe's brother Kieran has always been a PITA to her,but she didn't realize that they had a love hate feelings. Until Paisley has a run in with her scum of the earth ex Jeremy, Paisley begs Kieran to be her pretend boyfriend. All in the process of making Jeremy jealous their true feelings for each other come to life. When Paisley boss Chuck tries to sabotage her career. Kieran springs into action. Do Paisley and Kieran finally fully give into their feels? Does Chuck destroy Paisley? Does Kieran's past come to light? Definitely a five star read you need to read the series. Yes it can be read as a standalone but so much better to know all the characters and their women. Spice 5 star.
This is Kieran and Paisley's story. It's a great palate cleanser with a few issues. Paisley's is a strong female who respects the guys but will stand up for herself and speak her mind. Kieran is the strong alpha almost. He needs to be fleshed out just a bit more.
The story between the two is very good. The issues are Kieran is tough and controlling but got played by his last girlfriend? Paisley is a strong female but runs to Kieran when her ex and his fling show up & she doesn't give them any grief. Those two things don't line up with what we know about the characters. Otherwise, it was so nice and refreshing to have a strong female character who wasn't afraid to allow the male to take the lead. She still felt comfortable in the relationship to sass and not always acquiesce. The ending was a bit rushed. Read via Kindle Unlimited and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Hehehe this one was fun. It was cute to watch them pretend to not love each other over and over again. I did like that they didn’t immediately immediately rush into things. It was slower with discussion. I am waiting though for someone who doesn’t know they’re little or like someone with real hard limits. I’d like to see that discussion of them because I think that’s important. Paisley was fun and it also nice seeing a little that wasn’t all about pink and pastels. It was cute to see her “goth” side and how much he loved it.
Tropes: enemies to lovers, touch her and d!e, fake dating, she begs him to pretend when her ex shows up, possess!ve MMC, possess!ve FMC, hurt/comfort
I'll admit....I'm a huge fan of Kate Oliver's books. She knows just how to hook her readers and keep them coming back for more. Kieran is Chloe's brother and Paisley is Chloe's best friend. When danger comes for her, Kieran is right there and even though they both say they hate each other, you KNOW they are hiding their feelings! Kieran is over the top, possessive, and a grump to everyone but Paisley. What showed me that he truly loved her was the whole business involving her brother. I won't spoil it but that showed me just how much he was gone for her. This book was one of my very favorites I've read this year and I'm so ready for others like Grady to get his story! If you like Ms. Oliver's Daddies of the Shadows, you will love her Syndicate Kings stories!
This is my favorite from this series so far. This was hate-to-love relationship that I thoroughly enjoyed. Paisley was probably the sassiest little girl out of the bunch. I loved how she didn’t take Kieran’s shit and gave him a run for his money. It nice to see the FMC be just as possessive as MMC. I also loved seeing all the female characters getting together in this one and starting their all women business. We love women who support other women. Probably one of my favorite scenes from this entire series was towards the end of this book. It was fun and sweet to see all the characters having a moment. I can’t wait until the next book comes out because it will be Grady and Kate’s book :)
My heart be still! I love this series and couldn’t wait for Kieran’s story, and it is so well worth the wait! I love Irish Mafia and with the combination of it being a Daddy story, makes it even better. Paisley & Kieran have had a love/hate relationship since the very beginning, but then things start to slowly change. Both realizing that they do have feelings for each other. But who will make the first move? Paisley is such a sassy sweetheart and Kieran is all alpha and they perfectly belong together! Their chemistry is sizzling and I enjoyed their witty banter. I completely loved this story!!
This might be my favorite DD/lg book in a long time as Paisley is a strong, independent woman who isn't helpless. As much as I can't stand bratty behavior, I honestly love Paisley. I feel like so many of these Daddy stories has a woman who is not only down on her luck, but is also pretty incapable of taking care of herself whereas Paisley doesn't NEED a minder. But she gets one anyway. And Kieran's way of showing care, especially before they get together, is just so sweet without being too overbearing or overstepping. Honestly, I've read almost every book in Kate Oliver's catalog and I'm surprised at how much these characters have stuck with me.
An enemies to lovers story with a gothish girl is fighting with her best friend’s brother. During their initial encounters we get to enjoy wonderful banter from a daddy dom who is part of the Irish mafia and a feisty younger girl who has a lot of smarts and drive. Besides working as an investment advisor she is starting a cosmetic company with 3 of her friends. Their relationship finally gets some traction when they both attend a party at her company and he steps in to be her fake boyfriend when her ex tries to give her grief. I loved their whirlwind romance and only wish the story was longer.
I tried to make this book last cause it will be a little bit before the next in the series to come out. This book has lots of swoon worthy lines by both couples. Paisley has a hard time believing that someone one could love her the way that he does. With his grumpy ways and over the top protectiveness it is only naturally for her to fight him back. Years of always having to rely only on herself it is hard to trust. He has scares of his own and slowly she sees them. Together they work on healing each other. Who knew it would be such a big job. Had me in tears and smiling at the same time.
Paisley and Killian are just the next brilliant couple in this series. The verbal back and fourth between these two is just epic fun. There is only one other author that has me gobbling every word and page so quickly and that is Laylah Roberts . Both authors are just so much fun and so enjoyable to read that just as quickly as I start reading I find that I blink and the book is finished so not fair but I just can't seem to put the books down. Thank you Mate Oliver.
With this book being number four in the syndicate king series, it's close to one of my favorites. I'm not a huge fan of the enemies to lovers trope but I really loved it in this book. Probably because it wasn't dark enemies to lovers. Even if you're not a big fan of enemies to lovers like I am, give it a try. These characters both have issues with trusting people in their past. But they find a way to make it work in the end. Definitely got some spice, with daddy dom but it's not too heavy of a DD/LG Romance book.
I loved Paisley and Kieran’s story. Paisley was so sassy and I love that the combative energy continues throughout the book. They go from a love to hate relationship to just love and I’m totally here for it.
There’s lots going on with the story to keep it interesting and bits from all the other girls we’ve loved from the previous books.
Always love a Daddy book and this series has them with plenty of character
The book works as a standalone but you’ll get the most from it if you’ve read the previous books in order
Kieran and Paisley is a story of strength, sass and eventually total commitment. I really enjoyed how Paisley didn't bow down to the grumpy Kieran. Her total badassness is on show for all and makes you chuckle at times. Paisley finally accepts Kieran but on her terms and then she all in. The stern but totally committed Irish Mafia Daddy might lay downs lots of rules but he would definitely destroy the world to protect his babygirl. Loved this book, another great Syndicate Kings story, can't wait for the next one.
I love the banter: she’s sassy and brave, he’s bossy and possessive so there’s never a dull moment! These girls and their men are family, they love and protect each other. Paisley has a sweetness to her that brings joy to Kieran as they define and grow their relationship. The attraction between them is epic and the Daddy/ little girl aspect is erotically beautiful! It’s so much fun visiting the entire crew!!
