BlurbI rule the ruthless world of the Mercy Blades, but she has stumbled into an even darker game.
Sofia knows I would burn this city down to protect her. Dealing with death is part of the job. Dealing with a serial killer isn’t, but I could manage that.
But then she walked into our lives — the beautiful journalist who changed everything — and I would do anything to make sure nothing happens to her. But it isn't enough.
To keep her safe, I need to claim her...to possess her, body and soul. And I thought I did.
But now, the man who's supposed to be my greatest ally and closest friend tells me wants her just as much as I want her. Grayson wants her, and she wants him...and it makes me sick, but I want to see them together. To watch them. To command them both.
She’s not just the key to our redemption. She’s the catalyst that will either strengthen our unbreakable bond or shatter it forever.
As the walls close in around us, I discover a chilling the serial killer from our past is just a pawn in a much larger conspiracy, and Sofia and her brother are in grave danger. There's a bounty on their heads, and shadowy figures will stop at nothing to see them dead.
I'll have to decide what role Grayson plays between us, but now, it's not just about our desire for her. It's about keeping her and her brother alive.
I need to remind her that she’s mine…and I don’t like sharing, especially when the price of sharing could be their lives.
This is not a standalone book I recommend reading or listening to book 1 first. Because this is book 2 and continues the story of Sofia and Tao..oh and Grayson too.. All three of them are sort of in a relationship together,Tao and Sofia are definately a couple,Grayson is on the outside...He wants Sofia too. Tao is in control and what he says goes,he is best friends with Grayson and allows him to be with Sofia..So all 3 are in a sexual relationship but feelings for one another are now involved. ..Beside that storyline there is the continuation of a serial killer being on the loose, they thought they had killed him...But now there seems to be a copy cat killer that they need to find. Sofia is the target...and so are the Mercy Blades Jace had been kidnapped and left for dead..Sofia's brother Sam is Missing. There is a lot going on in this book and it is so thrilling and enthralling,I happily listened to the AUDIOBBOOK,...Which is narrated by Michael Knight. Michael does a fantastic job at voicing ALL the characters that appear in this book, both male and females...I thought his voice was enjoyable to listen to and I liked listening to him tell me this story. Clarissa Bright has written another very intriguing and entertaining story which will keep you engaged from the start until the end.. The Cliff hanger will definately leave you wanting more, because I can't wait to listen to book 3 to know what happens with Sofia,Tao and Grayson and hopefully to discover who the killer is. Fabulous Audio 5 Stars.
OK, so this is still not an RH book. She is with Grayson a little more in this book, but that's it. The other 2 are not involved at all. This is the slowest developing RH I have ever come across, to be honest. Plus, very little happened in this book. I wasn't too impressed with this one.
Through this book, there was the attack at the house so they would find out about the bounty, but other than that, they just really lucked into information on the guy sitting in the club. Even so, there really wasn't much climax to the story, and then it seemingly just ended. There was no plot here, and it felt like they really didn't do anything much to find this guy, either. They got lucky on something that was barely a lead.
I'm getting bored with this. Nothing is happening with the story, very little is happening to build connections and the relationships between them. Not to mention, there were a couple months after Teo got shot where she just didn't do anything at all? Abandoned her job, her apartment, and didn't even really work on the story much. Then when she decided to publish, it was done in a few days. Why was she just sitting on it?
I really need things to pick up a little more. I'm getting very bored with the story to the point where I don't even care much about the characters, as long as something interesting happens. There is so very little depth to things going on that it's hard to stay interested.
How is it a punishment to allow her to sleep with someone she has wanted to sleep with for a long time? I don't understand that.

📚Review~ Echo (The Mercy Blades Book 2) 🖋Author~ Clarissa Bright, Narrator: Michael Knight 🖋Features: Dark, Suspense, Serial Killer ⭐️Rating: 5/5
Sofia ~ “You’re Mateo Costa and that’s Victor Sinclair, Jace Roman and Grayson Santiago.”
Mercy Blades is the most powerful gang in Orlando, Florida. These four dangerous men are its original members. And, they are each committed to keeping Sofia protected from a viscous serial killer.
The suspense continues in Echo. The Mercy Blades are running out of time. With their vast resources spread thin, Teo leads his friends through a maze of terror and police corruption, trying to protect Sofia, his journalist girlfriend, and her brother. Emotions run high bringing Gray, Sofia, and Teo closer together as the danger from all sides increases. The heat between Teo, Sofia, and Gray is hotter than the Orlando humidity!
Echo is the second book in the series. The Audio edition with Michael Knight is fantastic! He has an incredible voice that pulled me in completely. I recommend reading this series in order. Quiet is the first book.
This is not a standalone book… it is a series. I recommend reading or listening to book 1 first. It picks up right where book1 left off with Jase missing (aka kidnapped). Sophia, Teo and Grayson had an intimate scene in the last book. It seems to be progressing into the RH scene. This book contains POV from Sophia, Teo, Grayson and the Viper (the killer). All three of them are sort of in a relationship together. Teo & Sophia seem to be working towards becoming a couple. Grayson is on the outside...He wants Sophia too. Teo is in control and what he says goes. He is best friends with Grayson and allows him to be with Sophia (but doesn’t want Grayson having sex with Sophia).. but feelings for one another are now starting to get involved. There is the continuation of a serial killer being on the loose. They thought they had killed him...But now there seems to be a copy cat killer that they need to find. There seems to be corruption going on in the police department & more cops (plus the chief) seem to be involved. Sophia is the target...and so are the Mercy Blades. They all have bounties on their heads but Sophia & her brother Sam have the most money on theirs. Sophia’s brother Sam is missing. This audiobook would have been SO MUCH BETTER with a male/female narrator for each!
I had this as an audiobook and the narrator did a good job trying to do the different voice for each character, but my gosh girl Sofia!!!! This girl need to totally get out of that gang because her dirty mind cannot stop thinking about the men. This story was so much more than book two, there was so much going on and after the end of book one, you have more questions than anything! If Archer wasn't the only serial killer, who is the killer in this book! I understand it sounds like he is a cop, but there so much that I have more questions than anything! Everything is happening so much in this book, it keeps you very interested and wanted to know what happened next. There so much that my head was going in each way! With what happened to Jace, Sam, and why do they want Sofia. It's so much! By the end of the book I have an idea who might be the killer, but I would have to read the next book and finish the series to see if I have the true who is the serial killer!!!!
Good grief these cliffhangers!!! I get so invested and then it's the end! At least for this one we know everyone is safe, for now.
Sofia is so fiery. I like that about her. She isn't such a helpless damsel like so many more book out there. I usually don't like the FMC, but I do like Sofia.
I also like that we get more of the guys perspectives in this one. I feel it adds to the story in ways that you wouldn't get from just a single perspective.
And the bad guy POV that gives you details the crew doesn't have, may possibly be my favorite part of this series so far.
I am reading an advance copy of this book and this review is my honest opinion.
Book 2 in this series. The author Clarissa Bright wrote a story that is strong and it flows smoothly. This story main character is the heroine Sofia , Sofia is a strong , take no $hit attitude. But at times it seems she shows how distressed she really is . Once Sofia meets the hero you will see that there is a mystery there. It will make you listen till the end . And man oh man what a cliffhanger
Loved the narration of Michael Knight, who brings out the action and character to life.
Sofia is so fiery, no helpless damsel, you will love her. A journalist who finds herself needing protection. Grayson will do anything, at the same wanting to claim Sofia and keep her safe from a serial killer.
Sweet lord the heat in this book, we have action, suspense, BSDM, and great characters.... Oh that cliff hanger.
~Echo is the second book of “The Mercy Blades” Series. This book cannot be read as a standalone to before reading Echo; go and read “Quiet” first. Now the audiobook is narrated by Michael Knight. He did an okay job. I’m still not a fan on his narration. Probably he just needs another person when trying to do the female voice. Other than that, the storyline is good, and the plot is good also.
Sofia adds another man to her harem in this second book of The Mercy Blades. There are no answers in this book, but the steam is big and I liked how things are getting more and more complicated with the serial killer. The narrator did a great job and I think I like having a male narrator for the whole thing.
I enjoy the way the series is going. I like the mystery and I'm eager to solve it. I like the way Sof and her guys are developing their relationships. I can't wait for the next book to find out what's happening.
Intriguing and captivating this second book is an amazing continuation! If I wasn't already invested I am now. I love the development of Sofia and her guys' relationship. The mystery is fantastic and I can't wait to read how it unfolds!
The Mercy Blades series continues with book 2 in Echo. Great performance in narration with audio and lots of suspesful action with every turn of the page. And steamy hot scenes and conflicts with relationships.
This book/series is so addictive. The characters are very well written and I feel like I want the world for them. I love the “who done it” aspect of the storyline. A brilliant performance.
