It was amazing get back into this world. I loved this one. I can't wait to see what comes next. I love the story and need more.

Great characters, very engaging story line. OW and family drama, A great female lead, not a doormat. But a powerful woman with grit and determination. R@pe scene alert. But a hea at the end.

After losing her job and having her ex-boyfriend kick her out of the apartment they share, Fauna Sommers wakes up in a hotel room with a complete stranger. Not her best moment as she can’t even remember how she got there.
Dodge was not looking for a one-night stand when he picked up the drunk girl at the bar, but she wasn’t in any condition to be left by herself and he felt the need to step up. But he chose not to exchange numbers and when she ends up in his hometown, it seems like a sign. Shame that between work, his father’s demands and his ex-wife showing up, he doesn’t know if he’s coming or going most of the time and the pretty chef will have to be kept at arm’s length.
I really wanted to love this book, but I had a massive problem with the H. In my book, he needed to find his spine for lack of a better word and put it to good use. It doesn’t matter how much you love someone or how guilty you feel, there are boundaries a person has to set for their own health and I truly can’t believe in my heart any man would put up with so much BS.
That said, I love Fauna. The woman is a powerhouse and she went after what she wanted and grabbed it with both hands, even in Dodge’s case. She goes through a lot and, when the time came, she stood up for herself without fear. IMO, she had the backbone for both main characters.

Fauna Somers wakes up naked in a luxury hotel room with a strange man with no memory of how she got there. The also naked man recounts events of the previous evening, which are still a mystery to her, but the gist is she had a loud and very public break-up with her live-in boyfriend. Dodge Plott* sees her at the bar and notices that she's incoherent after two shots, she tells the bar patrons she looking company and Dodge saves her from two men obviously up to no good.
Her boyfriend was her boss, so she's lost her job and a place to live. She temporarily moves in with friends who encourage her to open her own restaurant and they know just the location. Via the spirit of being neighborly, she's visited by three women who are affiliated with the Dragon Runners MC. They offer to help in any way they can without strings and they more than prove their friendship comes without expectations of repayment.
It's a small World because Fauna reconnects with Dodge remembers he's a member of the Dragon Runners. Courtesy of orders from her newfound friends, Dodge and his brothers are tasked to help her transport and assemble furniture, and anything else she needs done around the place. Fauna and Dodge become closer and they both want more, but Dodge harbors a secret.
The more she gets the know the people that comprise the Dragons, the more she realizes that family is more than just DNA, it's also about people who care without judgment, their support means everything to her, unlike her own who are overly critical and non-supportive of what her passion is in life—food.
The restaurant opens to stellar reviews and she receives a call from a family member. When this person is told a few home truths about themselves, they pop-up for an unexpected visit and what they reveal to her is indeed shocking, I literally had to pick my jaw up off the ground.
Nothing is perfect because even in sleepy little towns, there can be danger lurking and Bryson City is no exception. Highly Recommended: Read It!

As with the other books in this series, the author has created great characters and storylines that have impact. And she has built a beautiful family dynamic within the Dragon Runners MC that is carried throughout the series.
In this one, Fauna is a strong, determined woman, true to herself. She’s had to be. In her professional life as a chef, she’s been held back, in part because she’s a woman and in part because she’s multiracial. Even in her personal life, her mother (a Black woman) has pushed her to shove aside her Black heritage in order to better fit into the world her mother has made for herself. Dodge has his own baggage in a father who has always been rather aloof and in a drug-addicted ex who keeps dropping in and out of his life. Both of them take Dodge for granted, and his kindness keeps him from standing up for himself when he should.
That’s the kind of thing I love about this series… the very real issues that exist for the characters. The author digs deep, exposes the shadows to the light. I appreciate that, because life isn’t all sunshine and rainbows. Those shadows, those experiences… they form a person. There’s a real level of hope in reading stories like this one, that from the bad can come the very good.

Fauna's Biker!!
After quitting her job and dumping her ex the last thing Fauna expected was to wake up naked in a hotel room with a strange man. Dodge felt he needed to help this loud woman out, that was making a seen at the bar in the hotel he was staying. She made demands on him that he felt he had to do to keep her from going back down to the bar. They were personal and mine blowing even if she doesn't quite remember. They parted ways with no expectations of seeing each other again, fate had other plans. Not only did she show up in his town, but some of the first people she met were old ladies of his MC brothers which lead her to him. As she started to make her dream come true he was right there helping her achieve it, that was to have her own restaurant. With what he had going on he didn't feel he could have her but fate again had other plans and what started as a friendship turned into a relationship and that was the beginning of their journey and life together. Great Story!!😍😍

She decides to take a risk and open her own bistro. She meets the Dragons MC and they assist her to set up shop. Dodge helps, but someone from his past makes a return and he can’t turn her away. He has feelings for Fauna, but is continuously pushed and pulled between his commitments with the MC, his demanding father and the presence of his toxic ex.
Fauna comes from a wealthy, critical family, who ignore her and make her life miserable.
Another fabulous Dragon Runners MC story with plenty of drama, danger, deceit with twists and turns. I’m hoping this isn’t the last book in the series, excited for more.

It's a good read but not like the others.
This book seemed to contain 4 different storylines, so it kept you on your toes. One main character had problems saying no to family and the other wanting acceptance from family. They wanted things but kept getting stuck or blocked. On top of this, you had another criminal story going on in the background, which, as you read, became pradictical . It was a decent read, but I wish some of the 2 H's storyline was shortened or the book was lengthened, and they could concentrate on the criminal aspect more. I just thought there was a bit too much going on, and I didn't know what to focus on. Good romance read, though, as it was soft on the MC side of things.

What a merry go round these two went through.
I totally adored Fauna. She goes after her dream and and it turned out to be a great success. Despite her mother and ex-boyfriend.
Wow, with Dodge and his feelings and dedication to a wife who didn't deserve it. Guess she got what she deserved 😏 🤷.
Macie is a wonderful BFF 💓 and I enjoyed his character, but poor guy can sure pick a winner for a mate, not.
Loved Betsey and the Dragon Runners MC crew and their old ladies and how they took Fauna under their wings immediately.
Really enjoyed it, and you will, too.

Absolutely loved Dodges book! I didn’t want it to end. There was spicy 🌶️ & funny scenes. Fauna & Dodge were perfect for each other. I love reading books on biracial/multiracial couples. Warms my heart that love is out there for everyone.
I got bad feeling about the Mystery person. I knew it was that person from the beginning just something didn’t sit right with me. Glad everything worked out in the end & they got there happily ever after.
I would love to see more books from this series. So keeping my fingers crossed.

I am so in love with this world ML Nystrom has created! This is book six of the series, and I highly suggest reading the previous stories, just so you know who all the characters are and all that jazz, but this can be read on its own. Be prepared for some really great drama, a few laughs, characters with huge personalities, lots of love and some really nice naughty bits. Dodge and Faunas' story was a great addition to this series. I give this 5 stars.

This is the sixth book in the series. They are better read in order. It has been a little bit since there was a book in this series. I was glad to get back the series. Dodge meets Fauna while away doing a car show. Her night has been horrible and he tries to help her out. The two agree that they should just move on. But neither can stop thinking about the other. Fate takes matters into her own hands and sets things in motion. Dodge’s ex has come back once again. He knows nothing good will come of it and that she is just using him. Then he finds out that Fauna has moved to the area and bought the old diner to open her own restaurant. Could they have a future? This was a fantastic read. I loved getting back in to this series. I look forward to reading more books in the series. The characters are wonderful. This book has twists and turns throughout. Dodge is a great guy and I was excited to finally get to read his story. Fantastic job ML Nystrom. I recommend all of ML Nystroms books.

I absolutely loved Dodge and Fauna‘s story!! The drama, the anticipation, the family dynamics all make for an exciting story.Their story does not travel an easy road to HEA but the ride is worth it. I loved how fate ensured these 2 would find each other. These 2 are exactly who each other need and are a perfect match. LOTS of intrigue and mystery along with the super spicy good stuff. Fauna never fit with her family but the Dragon Runners adopted her with no problems. Fauna is half black and half white which has always caused her problems. She opens her own restaurant and the drama unfolds from there. HEA for them with drama and spice thrown in.

Sugar sweet romance. I love how the FL in Nystrom characters are usually in need of a good family and fit in so well with her club. I also like how the ML is not your typical alpha male and shows signs of strain and stress over various real life obligations. It lightly touches on Fauna's experience as a black woman and working in a male dominated field. However this is a light-hearted romance so it does go into much detail or nuance.

Fate
Dodge and Fauna's story was very good. I really enjoyed it! Dodge has been a saint dealing with his past and current situation. Fauna is moving on but not before walking up with a very gorgeous biker who helps her out. Little did these two know they would meet again while a serial rapist is on the loose.

I love the Dragon Runners MC and any time this author wants to write about them, I will be there to read it.
The only issue I have is after falling into a story like Dodge & Fauna’s, eventually the end of book appears and you still want more.

Love this story
Dodge deserves happiness and calmness. His life is pretty busy and he finds himself saving a woman he didn’t know. When the past comes back at him can he finally put it in the past. This was a true story of love and patience with the main characters.

Totally Worth Reading!
Absolutely love Dodge and Fauna, such an awesome couple. They both had a load of stuff to deal with, but they saw it through. I love the Dragon Runners series, each story is filled with heartache, danger and a whole lot of love with family values!

I think this is one of the best in the series. I was hooked in. Awesome story line, hooked me in. Moved quickly and we got our happy ever after.
