Excellent but puzzling at times.

I enjoyed reading this set of books. The thing that was puzzling, was the fact, at times, I could not work out who was speaking!
You had 2 or 3 people having a conversation, each person talking in turn. I couldn't work out if it was a girl or man until after the conversation ended.
It felt like the author was writing the script as if you were watching a scene in a movie. I had to re read the paragraph a couple of times to work out who was speaking at the time.
Apart from that, the storyline was strong, full of energy and intrigue.
You are following the story of an orphan who doesn't know who her parents are or what they were. A caretaker in her apartment block became her best friend and sudo guardian who went missing. In her desire to find out what happened him, she started on a journey of discovery and disbelief of things she thought was a fantasy, a myth and unreal..... Until it happened to her!
Her name is Scarlett..... Intrigued?
I recommend you get this set and immerse yourself into a world of Dragons and secrets and protection of the world, of the human population as well as the Dragons.
Thoroughly recommend 5🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟.

Wow

Omg this series was phenomenal a girl who was orphaned and and was told she had a place and a benefactor and that's how she met Anthony who become like a surrogate father she went out one night then missed her bus so decided to walk to only feel like she was being followed so she ran back to her house then to Anthony place only to realise he was gone then theses creatures starting coming at her she was scared not sure what to do she kept running the light kept fading and then becoming brighter she then worked out that the creatures needed water to make them move faster she then circled back and found a letter Anthony had left her she found a man named Ben who helped her then found out she was a Dragon not any Dragon but a red one so maybe she was royal Ben took her back to the Dragon city and Anthony had left books to read through she was bullied attacked in the city and she meet two boys flick and narith who become her friends and body guards as time went by Ben realised she was royal and they looked for her benefactor and went looking for Anthony there is so much in this series you need to read them love it

Good story but very repetitive

The premise was great, the storyline was also great but the execution was not as good. It dragged out, and way too much repetition. The 9 books could probably have been condensed into a trilogy without losing anything.

Also things happened that weren’t explained, and never explained. Scarlet must marry a red dragon, she must keep her two close friends at a distance so they don’t get the wrong idea, oh no, now she doesn’t need to. And we won’t show her finding her partner and becoming a couple, suddenly they just are. How can she use the magic and everybody else must be taught, nope, let’s not answer that either. Where did her natural antibodies come from! Nope, we won’t describe that either. But we will hve hundreds of repetitive battles that re all the same.

I ended up flicking through each book from bout 4 onwards to get to the parts of the story that mattered. Shem as it could have been amazing.

OK, but bloated

This 9-volume, sometimes tedious, story had the potential to be a tight, 5-volume series. I cared about the characters and wanted to see their resolution, but it was tough slogging at times.

***Spoiler Alert***

I understand that Scarlet learned something with each battle, but there were too many meaningless battles to the gate. It seemed to take forever to go from the level 1 shadow casters to level 2 handlers to level 3 portals.

Why was Anthony killed and not corrupted? Why foreshadow a conflict between Neritas and Flick that never occurs? The relationship with Neritas just clunks into place without much emotion or conflict. Why have Lizzy come around, suggest an alternate site and abandon that idea?

I think this would have been quite good if it had been tightened up.

Dragons are a part of us, thank you for writing about them

Wonderful story
Great Characters
Awesome to integrate the current world with fantasy
Hope that the world can pull together as you showed
Unfortunately, I think those in politics mostly want power
The corruption in LA CA government shows what can happen if we do not pay attention

Thank you for the stories

This is more a personal note:
From your author’s notes it sounds like someone very close to you did not understand you, your creativity, your beauty and your strength.

It is hard to change your life in the middle, it sounds like you succeeded and are now supported in your life
Again, thank you for being strong, thank you for your stories!
Stay safe

Good series

The story is good vs evil. It's a lot of battles with corruped creatures against brave dragons and kept me interested until the end - an end that brought tears to my eyes. The series is long, though, if you plan to read it all at once. And the main character says something to the affect of "I wasn't going to fight it/them/him/her..." So many times that I wanted to start taking a drink every time the phrase appeared. Other than that annoyance, I fell in love with the characters, and wish the fairy tale aspect of so many banding together in the cause of safety and peace could come true.

Addictively epic

Whooee...well, what can I say...? Our leading lady begins her journey as rather a typical orphan....with a little help from her friends. Everything changes when one friend goes missing and her world is turned upside down. Monsters and dragons, New friends and betrayal...and discoveries galore. Can she make it and deliver what she needs to....nope, no spoilers!! An epic adventure with every type of character you can image...and a few more! Highly recommend if you enjoy fast paced, lots of action and twists.

Epic adventures and characters

Perfectly written series. Imagine you discovered that you are different to what you have believed all your life. Wonderfully detailed characters come to life as you immerse yourself more and more. Emotions running high as the stake becomes clear and the threat of failing becomes a nightmare. Incredible action and adventure non stop. A series for all loving to read extraordinary storylines including dragons.

This was a book that grabs and never lets gp

From the beginning of the series, you are enmeshed with characters and felt like the would be like the friends of yours.
I had a very hard time putting these books down to go to sleep. I read this series in a week or so. Before and after work, about all days on the weekends. I have not been so involved with a story, since David Eddings.

unique series

Although this was a unique series I found problems with the editing. I found sentences that were incomplete. I also looked up a word I did not recognize, the word used was not in three dictionary’s, one told me it was not a word. The same scenarios were used to many times, I almost quit reading it, because it kept repeating. I did enjoy the story and characters. Best of luck in future, I would love to see how you progress.

Love the Dragon Queen

Just WOW! This series will entertain you for at least a week. Such great imagination and prose. Character development is very strong and the story line moves along well with some repetition in fight scenes, but vital to understanding what they are going up against. Highly recommend, many thanks to the author and those that recognized the promise in this series.

The Red Dragon

In reading this series there will be lots of adventures. Good dragons, bad dragons, demons, and the US Army will help make the world safe. Lots of twists and turns, and a young red dragon finding out it's past and future.
This series is for teens and dragon lovers alike, enjoy.

From beginning to end

I started this because nothing else in my tbr pile held my interest, but from chaper 1 of book 1 I was hooked and couldn't wait to continue to read and find out what was happening.
I was shocked when the end came as it felt I so invested in the characters that there had to be more.
Looking forward to reading more of these authors' works.

Scarlet saved the world

I liked the idea that Scarlet never gave up on the people she loved and had to protect. She lost a few friends and gained a nation of friends. She came from the people who were human beings and she did what she thought was best to save the planet, people, and dragons.

Airforce

Was just wondering why the air force didn't help. I would think with them having dragon magic, they should have been used against the demon. But other than that this story kept my interest to the point I didn't want to put my Kindle down. So congratulations on completing this series. Looking forward to see what else you will release.

I enjoyed reading this series

A good main character with interesting and different companions. A suitably evil and powerful antagonist and plenty of obstacles including bigotry in the way of our heroine's achieving her goal. Wrapped up in a fast paced narrative made for a series that I didn't want to put down.

PLEASE PLEASE READ

Hi, as the Heading states I'm telling everyone to read this complete series.
I have read many other series telling the story of the Dragons Lives, this one is so page turning that I found myself so grateful that I could read it on my phone as well as tablet. The tablet some times became to heavy to carry.

AWESOME! Pulled every emotion out of me!

These books are spectacular! I felt as if I was literally in the center of every battle, fighting alongside the dragons and military. I felt every emotion that Scarlett felt. Now, I need to tend to two weeks of tasks that I've ignored because I couldn't stop reading!

enjoyed this set BUT was abit miffed, Scarlet realised her feelings for one of her bodyguards, then next minute she's sleeping with him.
Would have been nice to read when and how they got together, I mean according to the story she could be with another red dragon and he was a black dragon..... Just saying,

Is the corruption truly gone?

That question leaves a possibility of another series. This one, let us down a path of friendship, hope, despair and loss. It was fast moving enough and entertaining that it kept your interest even though it was a long series. The question is, where did the corruption come from? And is it truly gone. Only the author knows.

9 fabulous books

These books captured me and I could barely pause reading for the whole week. The characters are interesting and it isn’t always obvious who are the “bad guys” except for the really bad character. Great story.

Great read

Very enjoyable saga. It had an intriguing storyline with plenty of twists to keep interest fresh. While some solutions seemed simplistic, the overall premise was consistent. Characters were diverse and multi layered, though I am glad the complete series was available, it would have been difficult to have to wait.

Good Dragons

I really enjoyed this series. I am glad she was a normal female, albeit also a dragon. If you enjoy reading about dragons, add this series to your reading list. I am now following this author and will continue to read her books.

dragon appearance

This box set had me on edge of my seat from the first book. However the last had me chocked up because I thought she could save flick. But once I got to understand more he died still fighting the battle, I can’t wait for any more books by this author.

Good but Not Great

I lived the first 7 books. I skipped countless pages in the rest of the set. It was same-o-same-o; I wanted it to end and so I fast forwarded to the end.
I think 20 artifacts drug the story out:(

I felt the story proceeded slowly with a lot of repetition and was ultimately written for a less mature reader. There was a very intriguing plot but moving at a slow pace, I found myself wanting to skim through.

before what happened to Ben.

best parts of story were before what happened to Ben. Afterward, it seemed like added words just to meet a length requirement. Almost a classic before that part.

Emmersive

This series captivates the imagination and submerses the reader into the lives of some interesting characters, starting with a human girl... or is she?
Is anything we believe real, or is there a whole different culture & reality than what we are taught?
