Ah, New Year's Eve. The perfect time for the proclamation of better habits and cleaner diets, unless you're Rudy Jones. His New Year's Resolution is simple; Get back his wife. Who is also technically, and legally, not his. The high school sweethearts have been estranged for six years after a nasty divorce, but Rudy's ready to leave the past behind them. Can he convince Noah to give him one more shot or are some things truly better left unsaid? Join Rudy and Noah on a cozy winter adventure to find out!
This was a second chance lovers story. Noah and Rudy were high school sweethearts and despite Noah's daddy warning them they had some growing to do they were married right after graduation. Unfortunately neither one of them knew anything about marriage. Rudy's parents were trash and Noah grew up without a mother, so they lacked an example of compromise and real love. Despite them being deeply in love, they realized it was not enough. Now six years later after their divorce Rudy has made a plan to get his wife back. Chillle the way these two were INSATIABLE you had to wonder if they knew they were divorced 🤭
The growth these two showed with communication and the support of each other was sweet. Rudy realized that he could have been a much better man for Noah and he used their time apart to get right. It was sweet watching them fall for each other all over again. Rudy was a THICK man and the way he kept her folded was a literal dream 🤭 This is the second book I've read using the countdown to create a rhythm for their stroke, I'm here for it 😏
P.S. This author likes to have multiple names for her characters. It was okay in this story with just two characters, but it is a jumbled mess in the previous book.
I live a second chance story….especially when both characters are still madly in love with each other. Rudy was plotting on Noah and idk how she held so long because hearing a man call me “chere” and him making gumbo would’ve had me giving in IMMEDIATELY. I like how these two grew up during their time together and were honest with each other. The spice was spicing and the scenes were vivid. I felt like I was in the room. This is my 3rd read from Aria Daze and it’s a hit like the other 2!
This is my second book by Aria Daze and I really enjoyed this novella. I loved that Rudy fought to get his wife back after six long years. I love the fact that Noah saw his growth and wanted him back in her life. The spicy was great especially reading how sensitive Rudy was with Noah. I really like Rudy’s character and learning about his back story during the novella. I love reading this couple second Chance story especially during New Years. I love the fact that Rudy was still calling Norah his wife even though the couple was divorce for six years.
Divorced couple Noah and Rudy end up at their shared cabin by mistake... or is it a mistake? They spend the week together while Noah tries to finish her dissertation and Rudy tries to make her fall in love all over again. Will it work?
Okay, I love a good apologizing man who can enhance his groveling with spoiling. Noah and Rudy were so obviously still in love and I loved that you could see that from the beginning. Rudy's acknowledgment of the places where he needed work and his commitment to changing his behavior was very sweet and felt true. Noah's stress about her dissertation and life were so very felt, and I wanted to hug her. But Rudy became a real husband, lifting the burden instead of adding to it, and that made the apologies easier to give and accept. I loved that she acknowledged where his missteps may have caused her to make some of her own, and she was willing to try as well. That's the real nature of mature compromise.
And Rudy and Noah burned up the sheets! He was on go and didn't let up until he got everything he wanted from Noah. And I love that once they went there, she was comfortable enough to remember her effect on him as well. The two of them were passionate in a way married folks should be, and it was delightfully nasty, lol.
It would be Aria Daze that has my “I don’t read second chance romance” headas falling head over heels for a second chance romance. And babe this was Romance! The way these two talked about each other made my heart ache. The pacing of this book was absolutely incredible its felt longer than 104 pages but in the it was a complete story and I’m totally satisfied. But it was a steady pace with everything perfectly timed and despite the potential for angst it was marginal and only there when it was needed. Then you add in Daze’d signature humor, banter, and filth and this was easily a 5 star read. I can’t for all the amazing work she has in store. And what better way to end January than with a NYE story!!
This was my first read by this author. The cover really drew me in. This is a second chance romance featuring two people who fell in love at a very early age, got married and subsequently divorced. It’s now been six years and Rudy Jones has one New Year’s resolution… get his ex-wife back
I really liked the first half of this book. It was fun and I enjoyed the writing style overall. I loved hearing about how the characters had grown during their time apart. However, at a certain point, things became a little repetitive and began to drag the story out. I did love the chemistry between Noah and Rudy as well as how things came full circle.
This is the most unique second chance romance I have ever had the pleasure of reading, I was so enthralled by the unique-ness of the authors writing style that I managed to read this in ONE SITTING. This was such a beautiful love story, I found myself tearing up. Told from such a unique perspective and embodied the nature of a second-chance romance perfectly. The spicy scenes were well written-uniquely of course and the MMC had my heart in knots. Ultimately this novella taught me that when a man really loves and wants you, he’ll do EVERYTHING in this power to willingly become the man you need. Such a great read.
One of the cutest Novellas I’ve read in a long time. It’s the perfect Holiday season short story with all of our favorite tropes: second chance, forced proximity, and 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ I think my favorite thing is that this a truly a fluffy romance. No unnecessary 3rd act break ups…just two people dedicated to falling in love again.
This was a great story. Centered on a couple who got married before they had a chance to experience life and get to know themselves let alone each other. Divorced for six years, they run into each other during the holidays and they have to decide if she is going to spend the trip with him in their cabin or leave…after all, she did promise.
This was too cute. Rudy had one thing on his mind and that was getting his ex wife Noah back. This was super romantic. The intimacy was between the two was so strong. Emotions was raw. I loved seeing Rudy vulnerable. I’m happy they got their HEA but I wanna see more of them in the future.
im not really into second chance romance but the first half of this book was really light and cute but then it became repetitive and i found myself skipping each scene without real dialogue. their relationship is really cute and im glad they found their way back to eachother after being apart for 6 years but this book is very spice heavy and lacked romantic dialogue imo.
I lived for this second chance romance. Nothing like a split that neither of you move on from a plot your way back!!! The banter and the spice was epic and the way the two love on each other speaks volumes. Noah and Rude were just young and didn’t know what they had and too lost to know it could not be replaced or replicated. As so many people who marry young find it hard to navigate life while finding yourself. That literally this book but the way they both still view each other has husband and wife!!!! I loved this book. Rude being about his wife and how he went about it was the sweetest. Both parties grew and learned to try and be better and grow. Rude is nasty in the best way possible!!!!!!
This second chance romance novella is the perfect book 3 for the Happy Holiday Shorts.
Rudy and Noah have loved each other forever but they went against everyone’s warning and married before they should. The were just too young and needed to grow up first.
Six years after their divorce they spend the week together by accidently on purpose because Rudy was set on getting his wife back for his birthday and the rest is history because they never stopped loving each other and once they were able to admit it and see how much they needed each other, there was no stopping their reunion.
If you love second chance romance then you need to read this novella!
This was so freaking good. Written in excellence and perfection. I love a good second chance romance with all the spice. Noah and Rudy just fit so well together i don’t know how they even attempted to last apart. Absence do make the heart grow fonder and for them it was everything they hoped for and worth the wait. This was my first read from this author and not my last i’m excited about what’s next
It was just so sweet high school sweethearts and a much needed redo. I loved seeing them rekindle something and the maturity show through their point of views. I just loved it all it was so lovely. Got me ready for Christmas 😍😍🥰🥰 it was just so cute. I liked this story real bad. The characters was cute and I’m glad the author blessed us with this beautiful story. Real Glad!
I have never wanted to divorce people to get back together so bad in all my life. Rudy was determined to get his wife back and that he did. They grew up and was exactly what each other needed. Six years apart I don’t know how they did it. I have now add Rudy Jones to my book husband list. This is my first book by Aria Daze and definitely will not be my last. This was everything!
This was cute. What do you do when you finally find the right space and time to court your ex wife? Use her forgetfulness take advantage of her being distracted by finishing her thesis of course. Cute, spicy cozy and refreshing. Two people found love young but were too immature to maintain it. Now they are both emotionally mature and once again see the love they once had. Can it last this time is the question?

I initially liked the story but towards the end felt it became too repetitive. I wished there was more conversation between the characters, there was too much internal dialogue about how they felt about each other that I ended up skipping. However, it is very spicy and a quick read if you need a lighter book after a heavy read.
I absolutely ADORED every SINGLE thing about this novella. How did you make me fall in love with Rudy with less than 150 pages? His little sayings, the accent, mannerisms, the thoughtfulness 😩 It doesnt get any better than this. Im not a fan of novellas but this one is the best one Ive ever read.
They say never judge a book by its cover! And this book is the definition of that! Rudy’s New Year resolution was to get his wife back! And boy does he apply pressure!!! If the person that wants you back doesn’t come like Rudy leave him where he is! This book was GOOD! And I can’t wait to read more by Aria Daze!!
Aria does it again. I’m not a huge fan of second chance romances but this one was so sweet. Rudy Jones was getting his girl back and wasn’t nothing stopping him! I love the vulnerability and growth they both showed in this book and the spice LORD, Aria knows what she’s doing.
This was a cute story with so much potential to be great, but it became repetitive. I found myself waiting for the couple to step out of their own heads and actually talk about the demise of their marriage. Instead, they continued their previous pattern—minimizing the arguments and using sex as a bandaid. This was not a good look. What was truly needed was genuine communication.
5 ⭐️ 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️/5. This was such a cute second chance romance holiday novella. I love Rudy and Noah’s story. They got married really young and eventually grew apart, only for Rudy to come with a master plan to get Noah back. I definitely appreciated the growth they both demonstrated from when they were dating and got divorce. It just shows that sometime love needs time and growth.
I Loved This Book!!! This is my first time reading a book by Aria Daze and she did not disappoint! I’m rating 4 stars only because I wasn’t ready for it to end, but by time you finish reading this review it will probably be a 5. I loved Rudy and Noah. I lol a lot from Rudy’s antics. Will definitely read more from this author.
First of all, Noah is one of my favorite names for a girl! Second, I loved this little adventure for them. They just needed time apart to grow. But listen, when Rudy called her vibrator a “spicy microphone” i just about lost it. Oh and Lucifer Jontavious Johnson, good fckin bye!!🤣🤣 This was cute and funny!
This was a cute read to kick off the new year. If you’re a fan of second chance romance, look no further. I feel like spinning the block is okay if the reasons for the initial break up weren’t major and both parties are showing some type of change. I was a bit confused with Rudy and Noah because their past didn’t seem that detrimental to the point where divorce should’ve been the answer. To have been separated for six years, I was surprised the chemistry and love between them was still so strong. I really enjoyed the way Rudy and Noah interacted with one another. They shared this level of comfort that created some funny moments and great romance.
