I do love when the second book in a series is as good if not more exciting than the first. The first can often be setting the scene, the background story and revealing the beginning of the adventure which first book did so well.
Taking up a few months after the unexpected ending in book 1 we not only get to explore more of Lil's new world but also more characters are expanded upon and we get to know her sisters a little more as well as other characters which is great. I enjoy books that have characters with their own chapters to reveal their perspective and their own journeys, so another exciting adventure along with good character interactions and unexpected surprises along the way.
I am excited for next book and after reading books 1 and 2 straight after each other as intrigued curious as to what is ahead for the characters and worlds.

The girls are back and so is the fun of this series. Truly a light fun read but with trouble and danger too. Alder and Lily are now in charge but there is still the matter of the stolen book to deal with. Made me laugh and groan and enjoy that Lily was the same yet a bit better this time around. Still wanted to slap her at times but made for fun times. And get to see the fallout of all the revelations from the last book.

Great sequel!

I absolutely devoured this book. The only thing I wish it had was some steam and more relationship development between Alder and Lily, but this book is clearly not a romance novel, but a fantasy novel that happens to have a touch of romance. That's just my own preference speaking. This book is beautifully written and sucks you right in. Just enough recap at the beginning without being annoying if you're coming straight from book one. I can't wait for book three!!

The Fairy handbook to spells and salvation is such a good book! The story just captures your attention from the beginning and doesn’t let you go. The twist and turns were just amazing. I love the characters and their story. This series is honestly so addicting and whimsical but still with a good amount of trouble. Tish Thawer is one of those authors who can cast a spell on the reader, captivating them page by page. There are two things that Thawer does fantastically, and those are truly fallible, characters and wonderful language. With regards to her creation of characters you will not find a more talented author. Straight across the board her characters will draw the reader into this novel. All her twists and turns are brilliant.

Just like the previous book, I was so intrigued and thought this book was so well written that I just breezed through this book! I loved where the story took Lily and Alder. There is so much I would love to comment on, however it would spoil the book and I refuse to do that to anyone who may see my review. This series is one that will be most enjoyed by people who love all things Fae! I thought the world building was done well and I loved all the characters. I read the first book in this series, so I decided to try this one too.

This was the second book in the Stolen Spells series. I enjoyed it as much as the first book, although it did feel different. It felt magical, as did the first book, but it did have more of a fairy tale flavour.

Alder and Lily have their crowns, now they need to marry, although Lily is a bit distracted on the loss of the book and Bennett's deception. Luckily Lily has her sisters to help, but will it be enough? I enjoyed this magical tale, with it's dangers, suspense and deceitful enemy, a great read.

Such a good premise, but so underdeveloped. I never felt invested in any of the characters, relationships, or plot points. Everything was just kind of told to me instead of letting characters actions speak for themselves. For example, Lily telling us that Daisy is funny, loving, kind, one of the smartest witches, but I never saw any of that in the book? I wish this was about 300 pages longer so it could actually have some depth.
