Though exciting, Ranger Academy is challenging for Sage. Having trouble fitting in, Sage seeks answers in the Academy’s library, discovering a connection to her adoptive father’s past in the library’s archives… In an effort to learn more about the school and her place in it, Sage’s curiosity takes her to an abandoned part of the campus…only to discover something even more shocking than she ever realized…
i finished !!! the second volume was definitely the best. i ADORE nika they were definitely my favorite. interesting conclusion, though it definitely could have been stronger, especially since v2 was so good.
Just like Sage, I'm discovering what it means to become a Power Ranger and I'm loving it. The artwork is gorgeous, the characters are lovely and the plot is developing nicely.
As an OG power rangers fan, it’s really exciting to feel finally seen in the universe. People come in many different shapes, sizes, colors, orientations and while they have always had one person from a diverse background on the team, the cast has never been as varied and encompassing as it is in Rangers Academy.
Sometimes in graphic novels/comic books, you don’t know if a story ARC is going to be fully explored or explained by the time it’s finished. I’ve lived my whole life with some plot holes never being filled and you have to just learn that it’s okay. But we actually got a complete story in these three volumes. Would I have liked more? Absolutely. I’m a greedy beach and I always want more with the characters I love. But at least I can sleep at night knowing that they all had a semi-HEA.
A satisfying conclusion. I was worried when we were about midway through that this book wasn't going to be able to reach one given how much stuff it had on the table and how little real estate it had left to deal with it all, and while there are some plot points that feel a bit glossed over, it manages to cover pretty much everything.
Not my favourite Power Rangers story, but a worthwhile endeavour that adds something new to the mythos.
This series continues to knock it out of the park. I love the focus on the new characters while bringing in the classic Rangers for cameoes, and great LGBT representation.
The kids from Ranger Academy finally fight Dark Spector. Some things still aren't explained the best. If you aren't fluent in Power Ranger, you'll definitely miss things like I did.
