I was seeing the effects of this book happen in real time. I went to bed aching for rest and manifested a good sleep, within 12 hours my manager asked me if I would like a 2 week full paid sabbatical, Money has been flowing in, bad relationships have been making their way out, most importantly my relationship with myself has been better than ever. Oh and to top it off, I got flowers delivered to my workplace today out of nowhere from a friend. This is Big magic at work make no mistake. I can't wait to re-read this book again, and it makes a beautiful companion to her previous book Sista Sister which is what I've been calling my 'black girl bible' for years. Thank you Candice, I can't wait to meet future you in New York one day when I've got my dream job on Broadway.

The MOST accessible and actionable book I’ve read.
I usually find manifestation or personal development books overwhelming. This book sounds like the author is talking directly to you, giving you some helpful sister advice. Even better to have Candice actually read it to you via the audiobook.

I’m already planning when I get I’ll read this again, I can already feel it becoming an annual read.
Thank you CB

I truly feel that one of the best thing that happened to me in 2023 was finding Candice Brathwaites content. Whether it’s been through her podcast Closet confessions, her vlogs or instagram, she has inspired me in so many ways. So I knew I had to read this book in order to understand how she is able to be so positive and yet allowing herself feel and express the struggles she’s been through. This book have inspired me to keep on manifesting my dreams whilst letting go of the desperate need to chase them. Manifest and let go!

I have been reading about Manifesting for many years now but while this is a book that goes back to basics I found it really useful. One thing I found about other books and workshops I’ve attended is they all tend to focus on material things. Apart from the money and means to travel, what I want is to manifest a nice, early retirement and because it’s not that easy to visualise I’ve struggled with it.
Candice’s book does something I’ve not seen in other books and talks about feelings and that has turned out to be the thing I needed to kick start this new round of manifesting. While reading the book I was able to write reams of notes on what retirement will feel like but also what travel feels like (my list of places I want to see is as long as all the countries in the world and I have trouble narrowing that down). It turned out that feelings of retirement and feelings from travel have a lot of crossover.
I’m a terrible morning person but I’ve been setting my alarm for just 15 minutes earlier and listing some things I’m grateful for as per her book. I haven’t followed through on her recce to sit outside for a few moments before the day starts as this is the UK and the weather has been awful however today (a Friday and I started the book on the Tuesday) I was up and out of bed a lot easier and didn’t log onto my work laptop before my start time or scroll social media so I’ll take that as a win while I wait for the endless rain to stop and go outside.
I really enjoyed her writing style, despite not being the demographic I enjoyed the shout out to her fellow Black women as I feel I learnt something, and I found that going back to the very basics and really leaning into what she had to say has opened up my brain waves and given me a lot to think about and plan.

Having read all of Candice Braithwaite’s adult books, I was so excited to get my hands on this when it launched. I remember watching her Instagram Lives in early 2020 and reading her blog posts on manifesting (RIP to the blog!), so this book feels like it was always meant to happen.

Her words are sharp, and her personal stories, as always, make this a dynamic read. The book could have received more recognition with a bigger advertising push, but maybe it will have another spike in the new year.

Overall, it’s a great read for anyone on a self-love journey—mindset really is everything!

Now, we just need a fashion or style memoir from her, please! 🦋🤲🏽

My first finished read of the year! 2024 was brutal in my personal life and so my reading goal flopped but I'm ready to get back on it this year, and such an amazing book to start off with.

Candice Brathwaite is a great author but more than anything I buy into her brand and spirit, she shares so much wisdom and some amazing guidance on how to manifest the life of your dreams. I found myself highlighting so many lines in this book to come back to. I'm going through a change in direction spiritually at the moment, stepping into a new version of me is scary & hugely transformational as exciting as it is & this book brought me a lot of comfort and support. I'd read any manifestation book this woman writes

Really good read, reignited my passion for spirituality and the power of manifestion. Easy to engage with for those with limited understanding what I like is Candice shares her experiences and encourages others to find their own path through spirituality. Definitely one of those books where you get out what you put in, cannot just passively engage in the book but partake in activities and also revisit practices often. Felt an energy shift after reading and would recommend for those open to this practice or trying something different!

I went to Waterstones the day it was published and by the end of the weekend had read it cover to cover twice. I have continued in the subsequent weeks to come back and refer to it again and again. The writing is accessible, practical and for want of a better word, real. I’m so grateful this book exists.

I’ve read this book back to back three times in a row now. The most actionable book I’ve read. A book that’s accessible for all and is narrated brilliantly. Thank you for writing this Candice, it’s of no exaggeration when I say this has changed my life for the better.

Not a self-help book I’ll be practicing because of its new age ‘magical’ principles.

Some interesting tips which I’m already using, some that weren’t for me. Enjoyed listening to the audiobook sporadically, like a long-form podcast.

Very accessible read on manifesting with lots of actions to implement. I would probably recommend this if you’re someone who hasn’t read anything else on manifesting before, otherwise you’ll probably already be familiar with a lot that’s said (however they’re still good reminders too).
