About the author

Dale J. Moore and his wife Linda now reside in their native Windsor, Ontario. He writes from his experiences living and working in different cities in Canada, the United States, and Mexico.
Having grown up and graduated from University in Windsor, Dale moved to Ottawa to begin his career in Information Technology. He resided in Ottawa for seven years, before a brief stop in Brampton. Returning to Windsor, he soon began working in the Detroit area, where his job required travel around the U.S.
Having recently retired, Dale continues to work on the Bubbles series of youth books.

Danger at Christmas is a middle-grade fantasy adventure story of eight-year-old Benjay, his older sister Lindsay, and their parents who are adjusting to life after Benjay’s recovery from cancer. The mischief begins at a family fun-filled holiday party at the bank where Benjay’s mother works. Mystery lurks behind the scenes as the story unfolds, while Benjay struggles with his prosthetic leg, Prosty, and stumbles across a bank robbery.

Meanwhile, in a magical Globe in the sky where Bubbles and their tribes live, a Bubble Elder named Seer senses danger ahead for Benjay, alarming Benjay’s Bubble friends, Peepers, a magical bubble girl with amazing powers, and her older brother Fret. Soon after that, Peepers begins searching for a way to leave their world to keep Benjay safe, no matter what it takes.

The story is full of vivid imagery, funny, touching, filled with holiday cheer, fun, and games; and a mystery that will keep you guessing until the end. The characters are diverse, interesting, likable, brave, and relatable. Danger at Christmas is an enjoyable story for all ages.

I won this book in a goodreads giveaway. So I was excited to read it. I don't usually read books for younger people.

I had not read book 1 before reading this book. I liked that it was quick to read. I also liked that the book kept me wondering what was going to happen to benjay. So the book kept me interested throughout.

Bubbles 2 made me feel better after having read it so for me it was a feel good book. I am glad I read it.
