Learn the steps to build better habits and join the ranks of changemakers and goal achievers everywhere
In The 6% Club, Michelle Rozen, PhD, teaches audiences how to create and actually stick to new positive habits, unlocking the secret formula to the life, success, and happiness they've always dreamed of. The book was born from a recent study where Dr. Rozen surveyed 1,000 people who pledged to make a change in their lives, and, shockingly, only 6% had stuck to the change just a month later.
Dr. Rozen's powerful and actionable methods have been tested on countless event attendees from all types of backgrounds for over a decade. In this book, listeners will learn how
- Work out more, eat healthier, save more money, do better in business, or attain any other personal or professional goal.
- Make changes solo, or with another individual like a friend or partner.
- Stop making excuses, giving up, or putting it off-effortlessly.
Based on science and written by one of the most sought-after motivational speakers on leadership and change, The 6% Club earns a well-deserved spot in the digital libraries of all individuals looking to make lasting changes in their personal and professional lives.
I read this book because my dad saw the author speak. I didn’t think there was anything revolutionary in the book that I haven’t already picked up from other self help/goal setting books. I liked that she discussed the importance of taking care of yourself and setting boundaries, but again not revolutionary.
A number of the practical examples were focused on weight loss and eating less (not healthy but LESS), which is not disclaimed before reading. Once I read a couple of these I was no longer interested. If you are sensitive to discussions on food I would not recommend.
Crack the Code of Consistency and all-round success with The 6% Club
"Of making many books there is no end" - Biblical Aphorism
In a world littered with numerous self-help books, with many others still underway, Dr. Michelle Rozen's "The 6% Club" stands out in that it was born out of a scientific inquiry that birthed a sobering statistic - a mere 6% of people maintain their resolutions after a month - and it contains success principles that are time and people-tested. The 6% Club isn't about lofty promises; it's a roadmap to becoming part of that elite 6%, achieving lasting change, and unlocking your full potential.
The book unveils a six-step system, starting with introspection, that is meticulously designed to help you transform your intentions into action. In The 6% Club, Dr. Rozen dissected some of the internal forces that govern our decisions. I wager you'll be awe-struck and inspired as you learn to identify triggers that derail your progress and discover the rewards that solidify positive habits. She equally encouraged seeking a series of small, achievable victories that build momentum and fuel motivation, over lofty ambitious goals that lead to discouragement - for example, celebrating a daily walk instead of aiming for a marathon.
She further advocates for an "accountability partner" – someone who witnesses your struggles and celebrates your triumphs. She dissects how a support system fosters a sense of responsibility and keeps you on track, especially when facing challenges. By the way, "The 6% Club" goes beyond mere inspiration because Dr Rozen delved into the science of habit formation, explaining the "habit loop" – a neurological cycle consisting of a cue, a routine, and a reward. She explains how understanding this loop empowers you to consciously manipulate it, replacing negative habits with positive ones.
Indeed, "The 6% Club" is a valuable resource for anyone seeking lasting positive change. Dr. Rozen's clear and practical methods, coupled with the science-backed approach, make "The 6% Club" an engaging and empowering read. If you're aiming for a healthier lifestyle, increased productivity, or personal growth, "The 6% Club" equips you with the tools to navigate the path toward lasting success. Remember, achieving your goals is a journey, not a destination. With consistent effort and the right strategies, you too can join the ranks of the elite 6%

I just finished reading this one, but the journey is far from over. I have the tools, now it's up to me to apply them!
I've read many other books that are similar. Probably because of that, I lost interested, but completed the book anyways. The premise of the book is that only 6% of people stick to their goals and Dr. Rozen provides tricks to motivate you to set and commit to goals. She says she doesn't like SMART goals, but basically describes making very specific, achievable goals, that are timebound. The author also provides a technique to rank 1-10 competing goals and desires, picking the ones you will commit to and dropping others. This is a key concept. You will accomplish only what you focus on, so drop the others. That is, focus on what you will do and you will join the 6% club. Several of the stories didn't resonate with me. I think this book is best for those reading about goal achievement for the first time.

If I could, I would rate this book 10 out of 10. I highly recommend it.
