Timothy Ellis lives on the Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia; where he constantly battles with his cat for possession of his desk chair, Daleks do guard duty, and he keeps his sonic screwdriver next to his lightsaber and wand. Now there is a female Doctor Who, he eagerly awaits the sound of the Tardis materializing in his house.

He has spent his life reading and watching science fiction and fantasy, and has been playing Space Genre computer games since he used to be smuggled in to play the original text Star Trek game on a university mainframe, long before the PC or Apple appeared. Since 2004, he's written game guides for the Egosoft X Universe series, culminating in two versions of the X3 Handbook. He has also designed major mods for the various games, and dozens of mini mods.

He has been a farm worker, Antique Dealer, Computer Programmer, Systems Analyst, Operations Manager of a small retail chain, and Retail Store Owner. He is now a full time author, who still does Spiritual Healer and helper work.

After leaving behind the corporate and business worlds, he was opened to his Spiritual gifts. Now a Feng Shui Master, Feng Shui led him to Buddhism, Karma, the Tao, and back to western spiritualism. Since 2006 he has been writing spiritual articles and helping people via spiritual forums and Facebook Groups. His spiritual books include "Personal Healing Using Basic Meditation", "Life Harmony, Feng Shui in Plain English", '101 Tips for the John of God Brazil Experience', and "The Wisdom of the Ages is available for the price of asking a question" series of 8 books. His own spiritual healing led him to writing novels.

His first novel, 'Hero at Large', spawning the long running 'The Hunter Imperium' universe, brings together his love of the space genre, magic, spirituality, and cats. Now 10 series long, the universe covers 3 galaxies, 4100 years, and as at Dragon Imperative, 62 Novels, 7 shorts, and 2 companion books. There are 7 main entrance points across 10 series: Hero at Large, Admiral of Gaia, Yesterday's Spacemage, Crossover, Midshipman Spacemage, Old Magic, and Dragon Rider. Alternate entrance points if you don't need backstory first, are Adrift and Mage King, although Dragon Rider has 3 books before it about the dragons.

If you wish to be kept up to date with new releases and information in The Hunter Legacy Universe series, subscribe here: http://eepurl.com/bqMgVz, and follow on Amazon, Goodreads, or BookBub.

The fastest way to find out about a new release is my Facebook group/page, which get advance warning about 2-4 days before release, and again when the book is uploaded to Kindle; and my email list which goes out as soon as I have an Amazon page for the new book. Bookbub will let you know about 3-4 days after I remember to tell them.

I normally will release in advance of the specified release date whenever possible, so if you are a Kindle Unlimited reader, you will want another method to be notified of the actual release date, so you can read on day 1.

The narrative and tone of this sci-fi book reminded me of Wells' Murderbot book(s). That will probably make it appeal to some. That's totally cool and legit. I however did not find that book particularly compelling or interesting. And while there was nothing in particular I did not like inKillerbunny, it wasn't hugely compelling either. Just one guy's opinion.

interesting read, but also a hot mess

This book is apparently part of a larger series.
Nowhere in the information does it tell us that.
The book opens with decent introduction of people, then turns into a confusing mess of nonsense we’re magic suddenly shows up in my sci-fi. It’s hand fisted magic with no logic or structure. Non-magicians are using magic, except non-magicians can’t do magic.
And there’s fully sentient AI.
There was no buildup to the universe. There was no intro to the world. There was no explanation of background. We just got dumped into the middle of the story and they just assumed we would understand what was going on.
That was not a correct assumption.
Having said all that the story was a light fun, pulp, sci-fi/magic. Don’t expect internal consistency, don’t expect logic. but you can suspend disbelief. It’s a decent way to kill a couple hours.

I tried the audiobook version of this story narrated by Amy Gorelow.

This is the first in a six part series set in the expansive Hunter Legacy Universe.

That this is not a stand alone series should be obvious to anyone who reads the book intro.. But some people apparently do not and purchase books just by the cover.. Hopefully the authors future books will include a Hunter Legacy Universe print on their covers, for all the lessers out there 🤣 that is.

This is pretty much a middle of the line story by the author. The preface is to contrived for my taste with my eyebrows seeking to connect with my hairline and my eyeballs drying out becoming an issue. These questionable aspects of the story are later explained away by the meddling of the so called 'Highers' this still makes for an especially annoying start to the story for a person who is cognizant of the story'verse as a whole, for there is no hint to such involvement leading into the shenanigans that ensue from around chapter three.

Not good, not bad either.

Too much of the book is just the MC doing boring or pointless things that don't even belong in a journal, let alone a book. Every time the MC goes to the toilet, drinks some water, lifts a box ... all actions without any importance to the story, and yet all put in, just to swell the page count. The only thing giving the book the "not bad" qualifier is the little bit of action towards the end. I understand inspiration is hard to come by, but it's getting ridiculous.

Killer Bunny is right

After crash landing on a strange planet, Liza, aka Killer Bunny, must come to terms that she might not be able to get home. But thanks to Karma and the highers, she works through her problems and overcomes them with, well, not ease, but with dignity and tries to stand the moral ground. I wish her luck in future endeavours and hope Timothy does not cause too much trouble for her and her Sheep

Intriguing New Series

For some reason I haven't read much by this author in the past few years but this book has certainly reminded me why he became one of my favourites back in 2025-16 when I started reading almost exclusivly on my phone/kindle app.
if you have not read this or his earlier series I can heartedly recommend them all. IMO none are less than a 4 star read and most are 5 Star and very entertaining reads.

Sadly, Only 5 Stars

When a great storyteller writes an outstanding tale, he deserves a great review. Alas, we readers can only assign five stars. The Timothy Ellis universe he shares with us is complex and realistic and fun to read about. The good news is that there are two more stories coming in this group. This is a must read one!

Messy higher

Each time this series involves a higher from any realms, there's always a very intense shenanigans involved. This time it's time for Killer Bunny to go through her "higher blender" 🤣

Killer Bunny

Cute story, really light on the science (non existence to be honest), but entertaining if you can overlook that. I rounded up from 3 1/2 because I did finish it. I don't think I will read the second book though.

Nice twist

Interesting universe, almost as Terran as Bob's Saucer Repair stories. I like those and this could be a very fun series to read this winter during the snow days.

An enjoyable start to the series, and an interesting universe to hang out in, and I don't feel out of sorts not having read any of the previous universe books

A nice read, unnecessary profanities

I enjoyed this book but was put off by vulgarities that are not needed when the conversations are between one person and her AI.
