Lurking in the shadows surrounded by secrets and lies. Nothing in this world I live in ever comes easy, least of all love. In order to be with the men I crave, we have to hide from the world. When people say it’s a matter of life and death? Yeah, if he found out it could equal my demise. They say if you want something enough, isn’t it worth the sacrifice? It’s not as easy as it sounds. With each passing day, I begin second guessing every choice. Living in fear isn’t something I ever thought I’d have to do. But this is what my life’s become. The heart wants what it wants. And mine wants four men. A childhood friend turned lover. My step brother. The sweetest man I’ve ever met. And a man so broken, he doesn’t know how to love himself. So how is he ever supposed to be able to love me? I’m determined to get my happily ever after, even if it means giving up everything I thought I never would, including my morals.
I don’t even know where to begin! Actually, I spent a lot of this book angry. Preston and Collin’s dad started it, but I really struggle with Preston too. Especially with the torment he puts Declan through. I cried right along side Declan. There’s just so much going on in this book; you just need to experience it. It’s fantastic. That ending though, has me jonesing for the next book asap!
*Why Choose *Contemporary *Multi-PoV *Academy setting *Host Club *stepbrother *student/teacher *naive FMC *possessive alphas *building harem (4) *fast burn *2/3 Yikes what a middle book 😳 this is fast paced with plenty of spice, angst and action! Sadie is threatened for her involvement with the men who have become obsessed with her and it creates some serious issues for her relationships 😟 not only that but the boys looming arranged marriages add an extra pressure on top of some forbidden relationships! It’s a mess 😖 but thankfully Dec, Greyson and Collin know exactly what they want and they are not afraid to do what it takes to look out for Sadie and their own future even if it means a rough time and tough decisions 🥰 Preston certainly comes under some flack in this book and shows a serious angsty side! The connections in this booo are getting deeper emotionally but they’re also explosive chemistry wise 🔥🌶️There’s a lot of different threats circling around Sadie coming from the rich and powerful, with seemingly no way out it requires drastic action….welcome the cliffhanger 😮😮 can’t wait for the final instalment in this trilogy!
Wowsers, it’s so exciting to get back into this series! The drama and angst continue with Sadie and the guys, but that just had me flipping pages even faster. This book is fast-paced, filled with secrets and layers of conflict of their world, and absolutely delicious spice. This author does a fantastic job connecting you to the character’s emotions and inner personal struggles. I love how protective the guys are of Sadie, Alisha always creates the perfect MMCs! She also always seems to create the most agonizing cliffhangers to leave us in turmoil! She did no different in this installment! This left my head filled with angst, and needing the final book ASAP. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Ok I am going to need the last book in this Trilogy asap. The first books cliffhanger was rough, but everything is at the pinnacle moment when it all starts to come together. I have a feeling it's gonna get much worse before it gets better but I'm here for it. Lots of steam, lots of drama, and angst. I live how the other series are lightly tied in. You don't have to read the other series to understand what's going on, but if you have, you know the reference. Highly recommend continuing this series, cannot wait for the last book!
Sadie is caught in the cross-hairs of Collin and Preston's father. She is told to back off, given an ultimatum; if not, there would be consequences.
She doesn't know who to trust. Her confidence wavers when she is confronted with a situation. Preston, Grayson, and Declan seem to be the only ones who can get through to her.
When they learn what she endured that night, it is a cause for concern because Collin and Preston's father is on the war path.
When Sadie is calm enough in her thoughts, does she hear Collin out and accepts his truth.
Sadie has genuine feelings for Collin, Grayson, and Declan. However, she's just not there with Preston yet.
Even though Sadie shares a steamy moment with Grayson and Declan, does she share one with Preston, however there connection is something else entirely, his life shrouded in darkness, controlled by his father and one he doesn't want Sadie to get caught up in.
Sadie has doubts about their feelings for her, but her mind is put at ease when Declan breaks off his engagement and publicly declares his love for her.
But it's during a party that everything changes between Declan and Preston, putting a strain on their friendship, yet with their friends rallying behind them, does Preston finally admit his feelings for both Sadie and Declan.
Honestly, Sadie has the best mother anyone could ask for. Her love, acceptance, and understanding of her daughters relationship with Collin, Declan, and Preston, would make anyone's heart burst, but it is made slightly complicated when her step-dad Mark, and Grayson's dad asks if he could formally adopt her. This will definitely change the dynamics of Grayson and Sadie's relationship if they're ever found out.
A lapse in judgement on Collin and Sadie's part puts Collin in the most tenuous situation with his father when he pushes the timeline up for Collin's own wedding. Unbeknownst to Grayson, Declan and Preston, Sadie and Collin make a choice that could potentially have dire consequences for all if that ending was anything to go by, because whoa!
This story wasn't without its rollercoaster of emotions. Despite the chaos of everyone's thoughts and feelings, the way the story unfolds will have you on tenterhooks.
Those smexy scenes were downright steamy, extremely hot and spicy, sinfully dirty, pure, unadulterated pleasure and passion. Because Sadie, Collin, Grayson, Preston, and Declan all bring something unique in their relationship with each other, and I can't wait to see how it all unfolds in book 3!
Tormented Kings begins right after the first book where Collin and Preston’s dad kidnapped Sadie, threatened her and left her on the side of the highway while it was pouring outside and Collin finds Sadie walking along the road.
After that, everything unfolds. Sadie’s relationship with Declan, Preston, Collin and Grayson continuously evolve throughout the book. Preston and Collin’s dad continues with his threats and is aggressively pushes Preston to spend time with his supposed fiancé Tina, who bullies Sadie.
So, for the very end of the book, like the last two pages of the book and what Sadie and Collin did, which honestly made my jaw drop, I can only imagine the backlash Preston is going to receive from their father. Preston’s character has grown on me, and it truly breaks my heart everything he’s gone through and is still going through by the hands of his father.
I loved Preston and Declan’s relationship. They’re best friends who have fallen from each other and were secretly pining for one another. And when Preston finally let Declan and Sadie know what’s been going on with him, his dad and Tina who were infiltrating his mind, it was like a weight had been lifted off my chest.
The freaking spice in this book was top tier! Extremely HOT!! Like melt your freaking panties HOT! Also, Collin and Sadie’s “meeting” in his office🥵🥵 I love the forbidden aspects of Collin and Sadie’s relationship and Grayson and Sadie’s relationship. I just really love an amazing written forbidden trope.
I enjoyed the banter between Sadie and her friends so much! They are so much fun!
I couldn’t read this book fast enough! I can’t wait to see how the next book unfolds!
I am so thrilled that the cliffhanger from book one although still packed a punch was resolved relatively quickly and didn't linger too long. Collin has been upfront since day one about his feelings for Sadie and I would have been devastated if she had fallen for it.
Bradly Jones is a piece of work; I was on the fence about Preston in book one but after reading the scenes with him and Bradly I am ready for this guy to get his happy ending. I loved his development in this; particularly as Preston opened up to Sadie and Declan about why he was acting this way and what was holding him back. That is what I have been enjoying most about the series; these characters actually talk to each other! Even if they are really stubborn and in Preston's case a bit oblivious (he seriously didn't realise how bad Tina was to Sadie?), the focus really was on these five characters finding their new dynamic as a unit.
I still love how great Carol, Marc and Erin are as well as the girl gang with zero boundaries and how honest they are with each other. Now Preston and Declan are on their way, I need Mia and Alice to get there next!
My interpretation of the star system; 3 stars - I enjoyed it; would read the author again 4 stars - I really liked it; I am invested and definitely want more from this author/series 5 stars - I loved it; I engaged with this book completely until I finished it and it is one I will re-read
So man ups and downs. I freaking love Sadie and I love her guys. But I'm so heart broken for Preston I had so many tears. The abuse he has to take broken the worse out if all of them. I had a feeling mist people were going to say she took the Taylor last name but I had a strangle feeling it was going to be what it was and my heart broke all over again for Preston because ik he is going to get the wrong idea. I hope it's not to late. I think it will make Preston crumble he is already on thin ice ready to shatter to pieces. As much as it's good and yes Collin should have that right but she should of discussed it with everyone she's dating 1st and not have it sprung on them like that. It truly broke my heart for Preston tho. I can not wait for the 3rd book. I hate that's it's a year away. Yes they say it's a place holder and could or most likely will be moved up but in all my experience it never does sadly but it's so worth the wait. That's Alisha for another amazing series and better yet the mention of Queenie and Rosie. I can't believe they let innocent Rosie become like Queenie. But I guess it is a family business. And I truly loved it. I always love when charater our fav characters crossover in some compacity even Rosie being grown now.
Holy wow. I didn't think Williams could weave any deeper webs than the first book, but she gave us so many more twists and turns, so much more suspense, emotion, spice and angst, I genuinely could not put this down once I started reading it.
Not only is Sadie's story filled with emotion as you read, but you certainly feel a lot as you read the plot unfold. I had so much anger towards Preston's dad throughout this, and by default, at Collin and Preston, too. There were moments where I wondered if anything Sadie's boys did would be redeemable, but then we got thrown the twist and boy, did it work.
There is so much drama and secrets that unravel, and I love that we get a lot of truths unfolding, too. I definitely yelled out "finally" a couple of times, and was certainly sitting on the edge of my seat. I gasped out loud, I teared up, and I grinned like a fool - I truly felt all the emotions reading this one.
And in true Williams trilogy fashion, she left it on one heck of a cliffhanger, leaving me wanting and needing book three asap.
Thank you to the author for the eARC opportunity. These are my honest thoughts that I have provided voluntarily.
FAIR WARNING. THIS IS CHOCK FULL OF SPICY GOODNESS!
This is the second book in the Kingston Academy series and it did not disappoint. Here Sadie is getting her bearings and has realized her feelings for the Kingston boys are prevalent and they grow stronger with each passing day. But she now has a pressing issue, there's a threat against her as a certain father knows all about her proclivities and it affects her and it affects all the guys. The looming arranged marriages are nothing but fodder but it definitely creates some tension. And the angst between Sadie and Preston. Holy Jeebus, you feel that right in your heart.
But Declan, Greyson, and Collin know what they want, and nothing will stop them to make sure Sadie is safe and secure. It has some super spicy moments but also showcases a deep emotional side and it gives me, the reader, a wicked cliffhanger. !
I was super thrilled to dive into book two of the boys of Kingston Academy the first book leaves off with such a great cliffhanger and this book picks right up where the last book ended Sadie is definitely a great female character. Sadie is evolving and growing I love the connection she has with the guys and the anguish and the drama continues and I was here for it all I loved every minute of this book I cannot put it down the love was 10 out of 10 smoking hot. The author did an amazing job with the follow-up of this book I definitely highly recommend this series and I am looking forward to reading more by this talented author.
Tormented Kings is book 2 in the Boys of Kingston Academy series by Alisha Williams. This book is filled with steamy scenes, family drama, and confessions of love. I didn’t want to put this book down and completely devoured it. The family dynamics in this book are crazy but will definitely keep you invested in the storyline.
I really like Sadie. She’s just a good FMC. I love the guys though even Preston. They all have demands on them from their families but they are trying so hard to be there for Sadie and navigate it all.
This book does end in a cliffhanger that almost made me scream and cheer at the same time. I can’t wait for the third and final book in this series. I need to know what’s going to happen.
This book picks up right where the cliffhanger from book 1 left off. Loved the character growth in this book. Sadie's relationship with each of the guys is developing wonderfully, the side characters even have a bit of growth. Preston, continues to be the angsty one who bears the weight of the world and won't allow himself what he wants, but he even makes some much needed growth here too. The steam level if off the charts and the twists and turns had me on the edge of my seat. This book also ends in a cliffhanger, but not quite as bad as the last one. I still need to know what happens next and hope to see the 3rd installment come out soon.
I loved everything about this book!! Well some parts were love/hate lol I’ve been so excited for book 2 to come out and it didn’t disappoint. Love how we picked right up where the last left off and how that cliffhanger was handled. I also absolutely ADORED all the Easter egg tie ins to Alisha other series. Effectively connecting many of her major series, that I have read and loved. The love/hate parts were definitely Preston and what he was putting everyone through but Alisha always does such an amazing job at putting that angst in there and giving cause for the behavior. I can’t wait for the next one! Cause this cliffhanger hit hard too!
Wow. These kids just can’t catch a break, can they? As with the first book, Tormented Kings caught my attention from page one and never let up. I love these characters and the world Alisha has built. It’s not one I’d want to live in, but man, is it fun to read about. Since this is an ongoing series, it ends in a cliffhanger, and boy, what a cliffhanger it is. I never saw that one coming. Or at least not the way it came about. I can’t wait to see what the fallout from it will be. Another amazing read by Alisha Williams.
This book picks up right where book one left off. Man, I am enjoying this series so much! What a cliffhanger too.
I love Sadie so much. Such a great FMC. The relationships she has with each of the guys is so good. I am truly enjoying how it is developing. Preston still makes you want to throw something at him but he also has you rooting for him too.
Those spicy scenes, whew boy, all I can say. I was gripping my seat the whole time while reading this too and didn't want to put down. Cannot wait for the next book!
Absolutely LOVE Sadie and her harem! I love how Dec is all about Sadie, any way he can get her. And Collin relatively easily adapts, and it is HAWT. Declan gives me ALL the feels, and Grayson is a close second. Preston is hard to love, but I love his angsty side. The chemistry and heat factor in the book were completely drool worthy and made it a phenomenal one handed read. Fast paced, so steamy, and tons of action had me devouring this book in one sitting. And THAT ENDING! Makes me physically NEED the next book asap!
Wow that was a spicy wild ride! Sweet, grumpy, possessive stalkers oh my! We picked up right where we left off in book one. In this book we got to learn a little more about the guys and Declan finally started a movement. Everything was spicy, sweet, and lots of angst. Then let’s just say the whole cliffy at the end left me somewhat speechless because I thought it was going to go a totally different way!! Patiently (not) waiting for book 3!
This is the second book in the Boys of Kingston Academy, and to understand the story needs to be read in order. This book was fire! From the opening scenes to the body of the book and the cliff hanger, this book has you captivated. The plot thickens as the boys decide to break tradition and try their hands at a happy future with Sadie and maybe each other. Sadie continues to grow in her trust with the guys and in her own sexuality. I cannot wait for the final book.
If you haven't started this series yet, do it. I love Sadie so much. She's a good person who just wants to experience something good for herself for once. She's been lied to, betrayed, and used by many people. She gets caught up in others' drama and the angst in these books are high. And the cliffy is just as hard as the first. I feel so much for Sadie, and can't wait for her to get her HEA, she deserves it.
Book 2 starts moments after the ending of book 1. Sadie has been 'invited' to take the money and run never to talk to the guys again by their evil Father. This book centred more around relationships building and back story. There were some great mentions and cameos Rosie and Queenie and black venom. It is kind of confusing me in terms of timelines. I liked this story and I'm looking forward to the conclusion.
Love the progression of the story! Colin & Preston’s dad is on my list of people I wish would get what’s coming to them as fast as possible. So many spicy & sweet moments between Sadie and her guys, and Preston is slowly gaining redemption (again, you gotta hate his dad). And that cliffhanger I did not see coming, I was thinking they were going to try something else to get out of the situation they’re in. Can’t wait for the next book!
This book continues where the first book ended and I couldn't put it down. If you like a why choose, a FMC who doesn't take crap from anyone and 4 OTT Alpha males who will do anything and everything to protect what is theirs and you will love this book. The steam and chemistry in this book between Sadie, Declan, Preston, Grayson and Collin is so hot that it will definitely melt your kindle. The cliffhanger in this book will have you wanting book 3 ASAP.
Phew this book is one heck of a wild ride!! There are so many moving pieces and things going on behind the scenes, it’s crazy. I don’t know how Sadie keeps up with it lol. The group really has to band together especially against some of the Fathers that are involved. Family is definitely a big source of adversity in this book. But we are making some serious progress! And Sadie is amazing, as always.
I really wasn't expecting that ending. The second installment is full of steam and secrets. Sadie is finding happiness with her men. The threats against her are still there but the guys are fighting to deal with them. I like the direction the series is taking. I'm curious to see what happens next. Overall this was a good read.
Tormented Kings, book 2 of the Boys of Kingston Academy series, by Alisha Williams @alishawilliamsauthor. Alisha is a favorite author of mine! Please read the trigger warnings!
Such a fantastic book about Sadie, Collin, Preston, Grayson & Declan. Tropes: RH, University, Bullying (outside the harem), past SA trauma & that cliffhanger! What!?!?
What a continuation of the series! This was amazing! Sadie is a great FMC, and I love her. I really liked her growth in this book, and she is going for what she wants. It was fast paced, with a lot of action.
This series has been such a wild ride so far, and I can’t wait to see more. The spice, the relationships and the guys are just incredible. I also love Sadie’s best friends. Such a supportive and caring group of people.
This book picked up right where it left off, and it did not disappoint. Collin and Preston’s dad is the worst. And the cliffhanger! Can’t wait for the next book, I just know it’s going to be so good! 🖤
This is the second book in this series and boy did it bring all the feels. I loved getting to see growth especially from a certain character… cough cough Preston. I absolutely love the dialogue between characters especially with the FMC and her besties. I am excited to see what happens in book 3 and can’t wait to get some questions answered.
WHAT?!!!! OMG that cliffhanger ending was crazy and I loved every freaking second of it!!! Sadie and the guys definitely have their hands full with Collin and Preston’s father. And let’s not forget about Tina and her nasty butt. I am so curious as to see where this is going to go. When Mark made the comment about names having a lot of power and for Sadie to think about taking the name even as just protection I had no idea she and Collin would do just that! I cannot wait for the next book!
Oh what a book! This starts where book one left off and Sadie getting in a bad situation. I loved this book! I loved three out of four of the guys way more in this book than the first one, one is still undecided. Sadie is such a great character! So loyal, sweet with a side of feisty and the guys are all so different. A ton happens and quite a bit of angst and some other women drama. This ends on the mother of all cliffhangers and I am dying for the next book!
