Humans … pets, meat, or mates. That’s the first thing I see when I open my eyes, that damn sign. Don’t fancy myself being sold for any of the above reasons, so I’m relieved when my buyer is killed by an … Um. Hot venom and horns and a violent grin. What the actual f*ck is that?! Or should I say who the actual f*ck is he ? Because he’s definitely male. Definitely big. Definitely exuding pheromones that turn me into a much less rational human being. Hi, I’m Eve Wakefield, twenty-five years old, professional caterer, recently abducted by aliens alongside my best friend. I’m also completely and utterly screwed. Lost on a jungle planet. Rooming in a downed spaceship with a dragon dude. Being hunted by a moth man with demon eyes and vampire teeth. Begging for help from a tentacle-tailed fox man who also happens to be … a space cowboy? Here’s the I desperately want to go back to Earth. But I am not leaving this place without my bestie, Jane Baker. And I can’t find her or get us home without the help of three males who just so happen to be ideal romantic matches for yours truly. Yay. Three very different men. Three very different lives for me to try out. Three very powerful romances. And only one thing finding Jane. Then … then I’ll worry about the messy complications of finding myself perma-mated to aliens. Yeah, it’s a whole thing.
PHEROMONE - book 1 of 3 in the For the Love of Aliens trilogy. This is a why choose/reverse harem alien romance . This story takes us from a wild forest to a sentient spaceship to a cosmic star chapel to a distant water-logged planet. What I’m trying to say don’t get too comfortable with your surroundings.

C.M. Stunich is a self-admitted bibliophile with a love for exotic teas and a whole host of characters who live full time inside the strange, swirling vortex of her thoughts. Some folks might call this crazy, but Caitlin Morgan doesn't mind - especially considering she has to write biographies in the third person. Oh, and half the host of characters in her head are searing hot bad boys with dirty mouths and skillful hands (among other things). If being crazy means hanging out with them everyday, C.M. has decided to have herself committed.

She hates tapioca pudding, loves to binge on cheesy horror movies, and is a slave to many cats. When she's not vacuuming fur off of her couch, C.M. can be found with her nose buried in a book or her eyes glued to a computer screen. She's the author of over thirty novels - romance, new adult, fantasy, and young adult included. Please, come and join her inside her crazy. There's a heck of a lot to do there.

*4.5* Warning: this is not your average cheesy, sex-filled, alien romance. This is top shelf (or at least second shelf) alien first contact. Don’t worry, there is plenty of exchanging bodily fluids as the story unfolds. It’s just not insta!

A modern woman transported to an alien world where SHE is the alien. The biggest issue with M/F books is that usually the FMC annoys the heck out of me. That is not the case with this book. This FMC is snarky and hilarious. She even calls herself TSTL at one point and I cackled. (She kinda was)

Aliens that look and act like aliens!!
Language barrier
Non-virgin fmc, 25 yrs old
A strong, unique alpha male
Character/relationship building
No info dumping
Size difference
Scents & pheromones
Two peen, horns, tail
Cliffhanger!

The hero was absolutely terrifying when introduced, but soon reminded me of a frustrated gentle giant who was doing his damnedest to woo a female he had very little ability to communicate with.

It’s a good 50% into the story before the heat begins. If anything, it took too long!! The story is focused on character building, and survival. I loved at the FMC fought the attraction and remained a strong character, even after the mindmelting, earth shattering sex.

Advertised as RH/why-choose but not in this first book. It’s just the FMC and one one male (for the most part) specifically the mating part. I loved that he

He rubs his horns against me, and I look up to see an unmistakable smirk on his toothy mouth. “An Aspis would rather go to the grave than admit to wrongdoing. All of the things that make you alien are the things I cherish most.”

There are two other characters who get brief POVs, so I’m guessing these will be the other love interests down the road. Not a big fan of the way author wrote this RH, but I have to give her props for the plot being unique.

I so enjoyed these characters, their hard-fought bond, and their crazy HOT intimacy. They were absolutely adorable together, especially in the way that they both slowly learned what the other enjoyed. I also appreciated the authors nod to alien romance readers everywhere:

This is what I get for mocking Jane’s alien romance novels. This is the universe’s true irony.

The second book is out, so no need to worry about that pesky cliffhanger!

*Highly recommended for fans of M/F romance, aliens that don’t have human emotions or reactions (thank you) and a ferocious hero that turns out to be a giant sweetheart with a crap ton of teeth.

Have I mentioned how beautiful this cover is?

Yeah that's right, 94% and I couldn't bring myself to finish this book.
Am I burning to find out exactly what's going to happen? Sorta. Am I grinding my teeth in frustration and cringing at the turn the book has taken? Oh yeah.

This book has a lot going for it with originality, quite a lot of character growth and a hint of possible RH factor.
So, there are definately pluses.
Unfortunately, the female lead in this book is pretty awful. I really don't like her and I'm having trouble coming up with any redeeming qualities to her.

The writing does some funky stuff in his book too. There are some typos, some name referencing when we haven't learned that person's name yet. There's a lot of very odd descriptions to feelings where I found I had to reread the passage just to shrug and move on having no idea what the author was trying to actually describe.

I Was finally just starting to enjoy the book a little when she finally committed herself to Abraxas, just to be snatched away by the moth guy. I followed along for awhile longer but if finally tipped over for me when he is explaining to her that with or without her consent they'll be getting married and mating. That was it for me, fuck this book.

THIS is the kind of sci fi romance I’ve been desperate for

I laughed out loud so many times while reading this book because Eve was hilarious. I feel like almost anything I say about this book will be a spoiler, so just trust me when I say I’ve found my new fave alien boyfriend. Very narrowly dethroned by one of Etta Pierce’s MMCs.

Spice: 4/5

Triggers: abduction, eaten alive, gore, violence, consumption of sentient species, slavery, trafficking, threat of SA

Got to Chapter 7 and hit a wall.
Skimmed chapter 8.
Couldn't be bothered past chapter 9 when the book is now in the perspective of the new guy, of all people!

There was too much and not a lot happening, all at the same time. How did Eve know Abraxas was called Abraxas when the red female came around, when they've basically been lost in translation? What was the whole point of being lost then refusing to take assistance from the sentient pink computer/AI? Like such a lot of TSTL moments that make no sense.

DNFd. CM Stunich always writes the kind of books I love but I always never get through the prose.

2.5 ⭐️’s [3⭐️’s for first 3/4. 1⭐️ for last 2-3 chapters.]

So, I was all ready to read on to B2, despite the many issues I had.

It waffles, A LOT!
You can easily skim words and miss nothing.
I managed to read all until around 60% or so, then just got so tired of all the drivel interspersed.

You could easily chop this book in half, and still have the same narrative [430+ pages 😫]

However, I was invested in the story, and was in love with Dragon dude.
Be warned, every single character is flawed, some more so than others. All are at one time or another, unlikeable.

But I could mostly forgive D.D.
Plus, dragons!

I actually prefer flaws to perfection, but I gotta confess, there are limits, and some sins were unforgivable, or at least, required more balance then we were given.

There are some awesome moments of humour, but not enough. The author doesn’t seem to recognise the difference between humour, and snarky drivel, that interrupts the pace and tension.

There’s also too many errors. Some were blatant continuity errors, such as the FMC suddenly knowing D.D’s name without being told, then 2 lines later, back to not knowing.

Others grammatical, and of course typo’s.
But the killer for me was the last 2 chapters.

Spoiler Alert 🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨

We meet Mothman very early on, he’s not likeable, but not detestable.
We might even have felt some sympathy for him if he wasn’t such a spoiled, narcissistic ass.

However, by the end, he kidnaps the FMC and imprisons her in a gilded cage, with no empathy, compassion, or consideration.
He’s repulsive.

In essence, he deliberately drugs her, attempting to steal her free will for his own purposes (he will die without her blood).
He perpetuates all the cruelty, and invasive behaviour he has experienced, onto her, and are told in a manner clearly meant to evoke sympathy.

But when someone behaves like their abusers, and feels no guilt or remorse in doing so, it makes me less inclined, not more inclined, towards compassion or understanding.

He could have at least tried to talk with her, tried to find other solutions.
He needs her blood to survive, not her sexual capitulation. That he simply wants, at any cost to her.

There are political issues involved that also affect their safety, but again, COMMUNICATION achieves better results than force and coercion.
Particularly if you ever want them to see you as more than the enemy.

You know in B2 this will all be swept away and forgiven in some manner.
A situation I’am not okay with.

Hence, this is me being done!

This was a DNF for me. I didn’t like the FMC and she kept making stupid decisions. I don’t know how it got so many stellar reviews. The descriptions were good. The world building was good. I liked the male love interest(s). I made it 50 percent. If I find the FMC annoying, it’s game over for me.

Book One of an Alien Romance Trilogy

The following ratings are out of 5:
Romance: 💙💚💜❤️
Steam: 🔥🔥🔥
Chemistry: 🧪🧪🧪🧪🧪
Story/Plot: 📕📗📙📘
World building: 🌏🌍🌎🌏🌍
Character development: 😟🙁🤓😍🥰
Narration: 🎙🎙🎙🎙🎙
Narration Type: Duet Narration

This novel opens with a surreal and disorienting sequence—Eve, a 26-year-old caterer, finds herself amidst chaos on a rooftop alongside a pop star, paramedics, and an oddly pivotal possum. Within moments, she and the others are abducted by aliens, initiating a narrative that blends dark humor, speculative absurdity, and visceral peril.

The strength of the opening lies in its absurdist imagery and tonal unpredictability. The narrative immediately subverts reader expectations, positioning Eve in a world that destabilizes trust, autonomy, and survival. The sign declaring “Humans…pets, meat or mates” succinctly encapsulates the existential stakes of her new reality, while Eve’s injury heightens her vulnerability and introduces a body horror element that permeates the early chapters.

“On my first day off in weeks, I’m lying cheek down in the dirt of an alien world with two merciless suns baking me to death. While a dragon that eats people, battles against tusk-faced alien sex traffickers. This has got to be a low moment for me, surely things can only go up from here.”

World-building is a standout feature throughout the text. The author constructs a dynamic ecosystem of alien species, each described with sufficient specificity to evoke vivid mental imagery. The use of an obsolete pink headset for translation—shared between Eve and a dragon-like humanoid—demonstrates the author’s attention to technological limitations and communication barriers in cross-species interaction. Details like gravitational heaviness and biologically activated healing via saliva further ground the speculative setting in sensory realism.

Eve’s characterization, however, invites critique. Her naïveté, especially regarding trust toward unfamiliar species despite witnessing violence and exploitation, strains credibility. While this may reflect her psychological shock or emotional desperation—particularly in her pursuit of Jane—it risks undermining reader empathy by minimizing the stakes of her decisions. I definitely was not a fan of how long she holds out hope of somehow finding her friend and getting them both back to Earth. I wish she would have just embraced her new life. Though I really love her personality, she is funny, sarcastic and pithy.

The story’s chaotic structure serves a dual function. It reinforces Eve’s disorientation in an alien environment while offering a rapid succession of encounters with diverse alien cultures. From the slug-like predator to the horned humanoid dealer, each interaction serves to reinforce a broader commentary on commodification, dominance, and survival ethics in interstellar systems.

Interpersonal dynamics between Eve and her potential mates deviate from conventional genre patterns. Her chemistry with multiple alien characters is not presented as a unified romantic arc typical of reverse harem narratives. Instead, each bond is culturally and emotionally discrete: Abraxas, the dragon-like protector; Rurik, the moth-winged prince; and Hyt, the tentacled cop wearing a cowboy hat and with a southern drawl, operate more as conflicting archetypes than harmonized romantic partners. This narrative choice lends greater complexity to Eve’s emotional landscape and disrupts the genre’s common “mate-bond” trope.

From an audio production standpoint, the duet narration by Patrick Zeller and Brooke Daniels is technically solid, with Daniels providing particularly expressive delivery. However, the lack of vocal variation among male characters may inhibit full immersion, particularly in scenes demanding emotional differentiation. Though I have to admit, Patrick is using different voices for the different three main characters and doing well with it.

The overarching structure as a trilogy—spanning 48 hours of audio—raises questions about pacing and character endurance. While series continuity allows for deeper emotional arcs and thematic development, the sheer length risks narrative fatigue, especially if character evolution stalls or secondary plot threads are underdeveloped. This reviewer’s preference for standalone installments within series is well-founded in this context, suggesting a potential structural mismatch between story ambition and reader expectations. I really enjoyed the story and narration, so I will definitely listen to the rest of the trilogy, but I may listen to another book or two in between each one to stop from getting bored.

In summary, this novel distinguishes itself through inventive world-building and a subversive approach to alien romance conventions. While character decision-making occasionally challenges plausibility, the author’s commitment to aesthetic diversity and thematic boldness provides a refreshing departure from formulaic genre fare.

I don’t agree with the other reviews….

Ok start to the book with a good middle (which is why I am giving 3 stars) but the ending got boring and lost my attention completely. I don’t think the world building is very clear and I really wish the author had included illustrations showing the key characters as I feel their descriptions do not paint a clear image in my head on how the aliens are supposed to look. I’m on the fence with continuing on to the 2nd book.

Ok. I know it’s not really how she describes him..but all I can picture when she talks about what Abraxas is doing is a hornier (in more ways then one) Toothless, from ‘How to Train Your Dragon’. It’s kind of adorable, and I love it.
Plus Captain Kidd and Hyt’s little octopus dude give me ‘Treasure Planet’ ALL the way, and that’s just the fucking best.

Honestly, I’m loving this so far.
I wasn’t expecting to honestly, at least not as much as I am, but with those visuals in my head plus all the fun alien differences all over the place, it’s just too entertaining to care about any little mistake here or there.

I’m really looking forward to seeing how they get out of the mess that they’re all currently in…it’s a doozy.

Book: DNF @64%

It started out good, but it just went down hill, I started to not like Eve and I was thinking that Abraxas could do better with another human haha!

Also for a RH, it didn’t really become that at the point I am stopping. So I am guessing it’s slow burn that way? Haha either way I don’t care enough to find out haha!

While I wasn’t looking for good world building and plot, it was included with the fun alien smut. Win!!

This would’ve been a 4⭐️ book if it had a bit more editing. There were mistakes with names and other more minor errors that should’ve been caught before released. Still a super fun read.

A dragon with 2 🍆, a vampy moth, and a cowboy with tentacles… say less ?!

This 100% a vibes read!

CM never really disappoints me. And when I saw she had alien romance? Fuck yea add to cart.

There isn’t crazy world building but the plot is still there and thats what makes this GOOD.

You meet all 3 MMC’s in book 1, but will only get juicy bits from 1 of them. I’m okay with it, because i love me a sexy alien who has no idea how humans work and they cant communicate and ugh what a trope. Oh and size difference kink? Smash.

We will definitely be getting more of the next 2 in book 2 because we get some things at the end that start to make things tricky BUUUUT warm up at the same time. HA what a time.

Like I said, vibes read. This isnt for everyone. I just happen to like aliens and crazy anatomy issues and men (?) plural. Hehehe.
Definitley listen to this if you can, over eyeball reading it!

Overall 4 ⭐️, 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ I mean cmon the dragon changes sizes and form and has 2 peepees and andand dp and yea idk have fun 🤩

Perfect fall read imo 💀🤣

~ RH/Why Choose
~ SciFi Romance
~ Aliens
~ Captured FMC
~ Med/Slow Burnish

This is my first CM Stunich book, and if all their other books are this good - I will totally be a fangirl. There is so much going on in this book, and every bit of it is entertaining. The world (universe) building is so good without it being TOO much info. Very much enjoyed this one!

Eve wakes up with no idea where she is, or what is happening to her. She sees a sign that says Humans... Pets, Meat or Mates and she knows that something is very, very wrong. On her way to being taken to who knows where by slave traders, Eve is rescued by a dragon-like being who has taken a liking to her. Abraxas winds up being just an adorable, gigantic teddy bear with enormous teeth. He is very caveman, and just wants to take care of Eve, who he considers his mate.

I consider this a med-slow burn because it felt long in the storytelling, even though I think the events take place in about two weeks. Since this is a why choose, we meet some other characters, including a dickish mothman Prince, and a cocky Octopus(?) tentacled cowboy lawman...ish. I'm super intrigued by how this is all going to come to fruition because almost all of book one is the developing relationship with teddybear dragon Abraxas.

This is one of those books that's difficult to rate for me. It's a good story, it's solid, the writing is alright (although has a specific writing style that may be hard for some), the world is interesting, I was invested in the characters, and so on.

But boy was I sometimes super frustrated with our FMC, Eve. The number of times I wanted to reach through the screen/page and strangle her was too many to count. She's a flawed character to be sure and self-aware of some of her shortcomings. I like that she's not perfect. I like that she doesn't handle everything perfectly or have all the answers. But I also wanted to scream at her sometimes, too, and that's okay. I think.

The first sign of trouble was when she ignored Zero and didn't seem to understand Zero's very plain explanation that she's a consciousness stored in a computer. Like she straight up keeps referring to very real, very sentient Zero as a chatbot. Our Eve isn't quite too stupid to live but she's not the sharpest tool in the shed, either, okay? It seems like she sometimes needed things to be explained to her like you explain it to a toddler and I'm not 100% sure why. Like she'd be told the same thing multiple times and it would. not. stick. Some if it is pure denial out of a sense of survival given her situation, but other times I wasn't so sure. Hence my screaming and strangling desires.

Were I in that situation, I know I'm the kind of person that would not have left Zero alone. I would have been allllll over that, asking so many questions that Zero got sick of me and would wish she was alone again. How could I pass up the opportunity to talk to someone I can communicate with who can tell me more about the strange world I ended up on? Get information needed for survival? Get answers in general? Not Eve. Eve takes one look at Zero and is like "eh, boring" and moves on. I was SO confused. It gets worse from there as Eve's self-centeredness and lack of empathy creates needless animosity between herself and Zero that grows over time.

The first thing Zero does is explain to Eve that she's crash landed, has been stuck there for a very long time, and has not been able to communicate with anyone. Eve has zero empathy for Zero. Of course Eve also thinks Zero is a computer without thoughts, feelings, or a life so I guess that feeds into it but fucking yikes, Eve. We see more of Eve's lack of brain cells again throughout the story as she's faced with more and more evidence of Zero's life prior to be stuck in a digital state and just.. doesn't put two and two together.

The whole antagonizing relationship with Zero was SO unnecessary and after seeing Zero interact with others at the end of the story, it became clear that it really all came down to Eve being a shit person. Well done, Eve. There's many more examples of Eve being dumb or intentionally obtuse but the ongoing relationship with Zero was the one that frustrated me the most.

ANYway let's talk about our MMCs. I was a little confused at first that we don't even meet two of the MMCs until like 40% of the way through the story until I realized the books kinda focus on one MMC each. This book is sort of the shadow dragon's book and he's the one we see the most of here. It's unfortunate that we see so much of him through Eve's eyes because of her limited ability for thinking, so a lot of his character is very primal and animalistic for most of the book. It's not until the very very end that the reader gets insight into his own POV and we get to see that he's fairly intelligent himself. His flaw seems to be that he doesn't think communication is necessary with Eve because they're mates and that 1) doesn't bode well for ensuring you have a healthy relationship, 2) seems like it IS needed, especially given you're two different species with very different sociocultural expectations and 3) Eve definitely needs things explained to her numerous times in plain language. I liked him overall, love his design, liked his courting efforts (lol), but wish we had a bit more of him and bit less of Eve, maybe? Not sure.

The other two MMCs are moth guy and er, kitsune/octopus cowboy called a Sucker Tail because they have a singular sucker on the end of their tentacley tails. The people of this world are not terribly creative. I was intrigued by both and all set to really like moth guy because I'm predisposed to loving mothmen but he is also a flawed character with a really fucked up social and legal structure so as of the end of book 1, he's more of a dick than not. We get a hint of the moth guy's character having multiple facets where he's up against some serious consequences and had different plans in life but is kinda stuck with the trainwreck happening the moment he meets Eve. I'm expecting that we'll see more of his depth and get convinced to like him better in book 2.

The Sucker Tail space cowboy cop is obsessed with humans because his sister is an adopted human. We don't get much more about him. His species changes color when they lie so they're thought of as very trustworthy. Much like tricksy fae, we see that can be worked around (which is weird that Eve of all people notices this??) so not sure why they're trusted so blindly by everyone else in the galaxy. The concept that every one of his species ultimately becomes some kind of space cop is also hella depressing. I'm hoping that's an exaggeration. You can definitely see that species trait being useful in other fields! Or irrelevant altogether! Anyway, I'm looking forward to seeing an actual personality about this guy. Also want to know more about the space pirate, Captain Kidd. Why does everybody know about this pirate?

I'm invested and I want to read the rest of the series but I might take a quick break so I can brace myself for more of Eve before I dive into the next book.

Not for me.

Minor continuity errors one of which being Eve calls MC Abraxes at 25%, no mention of his name prior. I don’t think she actually starts calling him that until about 60% ish.

I found Eve to be an obnoxious, TSTL brat. WHICH SHE EVEN ADMITS TO BEING HERSELF. SHE LITERALLY CALLS HERSELF TSTL. 🙄 Cherry on that sunday is everyone around her is nasty and horrible, from Zero to the pop star girl. Instead of maybe, rising above and not being equally shitty to everyone around her she just gives it back in spades and acts like she’s undeserving of what she gets in return.

The narrative jumps to perspectives of side characters for almost no reason at all. It doesn’t really give us a different perspective or move the plot forward in an interesting way. It just feels like filler. Which makes me care less about what I’m reading.

I almost stopped reading around 60% when it became obvious how all this shit was gonna go down. I knew there was a second book. The end is not HFN, and it cliffhangs into the second. Since I really struggled to even like the characters (any of them really), I won’t pick up the second one. AND, I am definitely not interested in reading about Eve falling into chemically-induced love with a character she hates for removing her from the man she loves by force.

FMC: I really hate this trope, but I’m doing it anywayyyyyy.. lulz

Painful to finish

This book draaaags on and I almost dnf several times. I can't stand the mfc the majority of the time and the only ones I like are Abraxas and the cop. She complains about everything and is just admittedly a brat and a b!#@. There is a lot of world building and rambling that I skipped as It just wasn't that interesting to me personally. I just wanted to get back to the plot. Ends in a cliffhanger but I won't continue as I just don't like her enough to slog through her inner turmoil and woe is me attitude again.

4.5 ✨

Okay, this was pretty good! The only reason I took off half a star was because it was really tense/stressful on my emotions-so a personal thing- and then Eve kept annoying me with her decisions and hesitation 🙄😆. Besides that stupid-ness, I loved her; she was hilarious 😂.

I can already tell I’m definitely gonna love Rurik in the next book, but right now he’s REALLY frustrating/disgusting me with his presumptuous way of thinking and how he’s treating Eve. I can see how he’s heartbroken and wants to give her the world (which is how I know I’ll love him), but right now he’s SO self focused and isn’t seeing or caring how Eve feels about Abraxas 😡. So currently, I am majorly ick-ed out by him 😝.

Ah! Don’t get me started on Abraxas! I love him soooo much 😭🥰. I love how he’s kinda like a cat and loves to nuzzle and lick Eve 😍🫠. I can already tell he’ll probably be my favorite (though it’ll be a close call with the others!)

I started off this audiobook knowing that it was only the first in a trilogy and that it would be longer, but I was hoping/thinking I could take a break in between so that I can give my emotions a break, but NOPE!! I NEED to immediately start the next book cuz I need Abraxas back and Rurik to change 😭. This is gonna be a long ride…

the author built such an intriguing universe but didn’t feel too sci-fi, which kept me engaged. all three potential mates for Eve, are all so different. but obvi my favourite was Abraxas. do yourself a favor, look up the art for the males 🥵

Eve is the kind of ride or die friend you want. she’s been abducted and sold and she’s still thinking of how can she find her best friend Jane and what she can do to find her.

i am definitely so intrigued to see how everything works out for Eve, Abraxas, Rurik, and Hyt and how they’ll all manage to come together for Eve. also how the politics work for these aliens.

I love C.M. Stunich , so I was brimming with anticipation to explore this series. It had been quite some time since I ventured into the realms of sci-fi and monster romance, making this experience feel delightfully unique. The narrative was a breath of fresh air, shaking up my reading routine, and I reveled in every moment. Each page turned was filled with excitement, and not once did I find myself bored. I’m absolutely eager to immerse myself in the next installment!

weird — but NO! It’s absolutely adorable, and you can feel the love from Mr. A 😭🥰 The best part? It’s unintentionally hilarious, almost like a romantic comedy!

DNF 61%. I REALLY liked the storyline here. I didn’t find the relationship building believable even tho it was really slow. I also found many parts kind of cringy. Not for me.

I didn't love this as much as I thought I would for several reasons. In the author's note section, it says that this book is a fast burn/slow-build reverse harem. While I agree that it is a slow build reverse harem, I disagree that it is a fast burn and would consider it more of a medium burn. The first sex scene isn't until 53% in the book. To me, fast burn means the first sex scene will be right away and at least by 20% in the book.

It was confusing because in chapter 7 FMC Eve calls Dragon dude Abraxas and in chapter 12 Eve says that she wishes that she knew his name. Then she comes up with Abraxas because she can't understand his name is his native language. Why didn't she just make up his name when she first met him instead of calling him DD or Dragon Dude?

I do plan on continuing with the series, but I will probably wait until it is complete before continuing.

I don't really like any kind of science fiction. So, I would usually say NO to reading any books about aliens. However, C.M. Stunich is one of my favorite authors and I knew if anyone could have me fall in love with aliens it would be her.

Spoiler alert... She did. I LOVED this book!!!

Abraxas 💜
Rurik
Hyt
(these 3 were hard to rate bc I adored them all)
