I didn’t know that there is a number of times a person can hear/read an expression before they want to ban it for ever, but this trilogy thought me that there is, and now I do not want to hear or read the words “I am a crime scene” ever in my life…

I read a lot of the author’s books prior to these and I feel like the writing is getting sloppy. The entire back story is rehashed sooooo many times, I started to skip entire pages because I couldn’t go through the parents were murdered, house was burnt down in a fire anymore. I was desensitized to it.

Also, I had enough of the “paying for the sins of the father” story line… all of the daughters are sacrificial lambs, and they don’t just accept the situation, they voluntary walk up the stairs of the alter to be sacrificed, and the punishment is always sex… rolling my eyes so hard I won’t be able to read anything else…

The storyline didn’t require three books, one would have been enough. Too many pages are complete copy-paste: the backstory, the nightmares, the self-blame, the insecurities. Book 2 and book 3 feel like a Deja-vu, because too much of the first book is being replicated, in some parts word-for-word.

Not sure if the author had a deadline to meet and ran out of time, but this is not a fully formed book and it is not worth the time.

Aaa, if you want to read it for the sexy parts, they are also missing in the third book, so just read the first one 3 times and slap on a happy ending ;)

The final piece of Jameson and Lily's story is a real breath stealer that works overtime to keep you on the edge of your seat. Intense tension hits you full force right from the first chapter and never lets up. Raw emotions, fierce feelings, taut drama, sharp slashes of humor and thrilling suspense fuel this gripping read that consumed my mind and almost flattened my heart from how hard it squeezed it.

Amelia Wilde sure knows how to bring the drama....and the heat. And I'm loving Jameson and Lily's story- it's Amelia writing her best. Danger, intrigue, obstacle after obstacle, nefarious schemes and dubious characters, and a kinetic connection that burns up the pages. While facing insurmountable odds and their own complicated pasts and presents, these two only grow closer together. Two completely different souls that somehow seem to fit the other. I love how despite all the drama they completely ground each other, and the chemistry deepens. <3.5 stars>

Third book in this trilogy, beginning with Flight Risk.

Note: To really understand the ending of the series, there are other series that should be read first. There are many characters from these other series. (King of Shadows, Devil and the Deep Blue Sea, Richer Than God, Power Play, Net Worth, Flight Risk)

Mood Reader: Odd plot, odd pacing, felt too rushed and too unfocused. Lily’s character is more background, not much romance; Jamieson's mental anguish is central theme of story.

Tropes:

* MF Contemporary
* third book in this series
* family trauma
* murdered parents
* conspiracy behind murders
* several series regarding grown sons' revenge schemes
* built family business, wealthy
* revenge scheme by MMC, youngest grown son of murdered couple, who struggles with ptsd
* in love with one conspirator's granddaughter - MFC
* dancer/ law school student MFC
* previously had kidnapped her
* pregnant MFC
* hitman kidnaps her at wedding
* all hands on deck rescue (characters from other series)
* quick rescue
* MMC battles sleep deprivation, depression, urges to kill enemies
* brothers save him, get MFC's grandfather arrested
* MMC falls apart, mental breakdown
* quick recovery
* family bonding, healing
* couples from other series gather at the end, set up for next generation?
* hitman never found (next series?)
* HEA

Plot with spoilers: Lily, pregnant, is kidnapped from the wedding on her grandfather's order, by the same hitman who probably killed Jamieson's parents. Jamieson almost has a mental breakdown as fear for her life echoes the night his parents were killed. His brothers and their friends (Hades, Poseidon from other series) work their criminal contacts as they question a man caught on the grounds. Meanwhile, Lily confronts the reality of waiting on a bored hitman to kill her. Suddenly, she's saved by an unknown young man at the same time Jamieson et.al. breach her location and rush in. The hitman escapes along with the Good Samaritan. Lily insists on going through with the wedding. They are married, then they gather with his brothers, wives, children and all their friends for relaxation.

All seems well, except that Jamieson continues his emotional descent downwards. His insomnia gets worse, and his obsession with vengeance against the hitman and Lily's grandfather becomes all-consuming. He thinks he's hiding it, but Lily and his brothers know, they just don't know how to help him. Once Jamieson finds the hitman, he Hamlets - to kill or not to kill, get vengeance or live without it? He hunts down the hitman, but as he prepares to attack, he realizes the Good Samaritan is the hitman's son. Jamieson pauses; he can't kill someone's parent, no matter how evil. Then he really loses it. He feels inadequate because he can't kill - to protect Lily or get vengeance for his parents. After too little sleep, he goes after the grandfather. He almost cuts the old man's throat, but his brothers had followed him and stop him. They raid his house, find evidence against the old judge, call the police and burn down his house. They all return to their home where Lily and the family are.

Jamieson has a complete nervous breakdown. He swings between sleep and alt-dreaming about his mother and father. He remembers how much they loved each other and their sons. He begins to heal. All the brothers, wives, children and their friends (from the wedding) are there, and they begin to live a happy life. Lily's grandfather is going to jail for the rest of his life, but the hitman and his son are never found. Remy the sister goes to Greece (next series).

Plain Sight
(Risk Series Book 3)
By Amelia Wilde

From the beginning of this series it’s been obvious that the trauma that the Hill brothers and sister have each gone through has been devestating to each one of them.

The brother that stood out the most to me has been Jameson. His trauma continues to live within him from his early teens until this moment. Now he has someone in his life he loves and it seems he is sprialing towards an event that will have a huge effect on him, maybe on the entire family.

Jameson Hill is not fine.

His grasp on reality is tied to his fiance, Lily Hayes and his beloved pet Snowball.
His brothers and sister see what’s happening but no one is sure exactly how to deal with the spiral that is taking over Jameson’s life.

From Lily being kidnapped from the Bridal Suite in the Church, to the discoveries he makes concering Judge Hayes and his new nemisis Malcolm Walsh, Jameson is running on revenge. He will stop, but will that stop be the last of Jameson?

Honestly, I stayed up all night reading Plain Sight. As I flipped each page the tension and angst grew and the action just kept moving. It was heartbreaking and I cried as the darkness started to envelope Jameson.

I can’t compliment Author Amelia Wilde enough on how she took her characters and her readers through this book and brought everyone into the light again. All of the Hill family are people who are survivors and they surround themselves with friends who have become a part of their family. It’s true, friends are there for you when needed, especially in this book

We have one more Hill family member to hear from, Remy….and her story, well; she’s a Hill, I can’t wait to spend more time with her.

I’m giving this book five stars, but in all honesty…..this book deserves so many more.

Plain Sight, book three in Amelia Wilde’s Risk trilogy, is phenomenal! It’s fast-paced and emotional.

Jameson Hill is on a frenzied search for a murderer and kidnapper. The man in question is responsible for the murder of his parents and the kidnapping of his bride on their wedding day. When his mental health becomes frenetic and fragile, it’s up to his family and close friends to step in.

This book is amazing. The stream of consciousness narration written by Wilde is electric and haunting. You feel like you’re there with him. Jameson keeps seeing his parents’ murder and the imagined deaths of his siblings in his visions, and he can’t sleep at all. This story shows us how Jameson is able to recover from his nightmares and how the Hill family is brought even closer together. I love the scene with Hades’ daughter Daisy who helps Jameson through his troubled visions. The best thing about these books is how close the Hill siblings are - there’s no jealousy or competitiveness, just love and occasional joking. Jameson’s new wife Lily is a perfect counterpoint to him. She doesn’t give up on him and stands by him throughout his episodes. I can’t wait for Remy’s story next.

Plain Sight is book three in the Risk trilogy. You’ll have to read Flight Risk and Close Call to be caught up on the story, but it’s so worth it. Read it and let me know what you think - I’d love to discuss!

To truly appreciate the complex character of Jameson Hill, you need to read the first two books in this series, Flight Risk and Close Call. Although author, Amelia Wilde, tries to describe Jameson's frame of mind when Lily, his fiancee and granddaughter of the villain, goes missing minutes before she's due to walk down the aisle to her groom, you can't fully feel his level of distress unless you have the background of what Lily truly means to him. Jameson, like his siblings, Mason (Wealth series), Gabriel (Power trilogy) and Remy, suffered a tremendous loss as children when their parents were murdered by a corrupt conglomerate who took everything and left them to fend for themselves. As adults, each of the guys has done something to avenge their parents' senseless deaths, and Jameson has been out to retaliate against the corrupt judge, who happens to be Lily's grandfather.
The real story is not what Jameson does in his quest for revenge, but the inner demons he must fight to finally find peace. The heartfelt moments between he and his brothers bring a satisfying end to this trilogy. Interestingly the author also graces us with glimpses into the future for some of the side characters and Remy! Looking forward for what's to come!

Lily and Jameson’s story picks up where we left off at the wedding and now Lily is missing, taken by who? Jameson is in a downward spiral and needs all the help he can get to find her, he has to find her, she’s his world and who would’ve thought that was going to happen when their relationship all started with a kidnapping. Jameson has been spiraling ever since his parents were killed, keeping it all bottled up inside and letting it out little by little by going after the people who have wronged him and his family, but how much more can one man take? Every risk he takes not only puts him in danger but his whole family and the family he wants with Lily. He’s about to hit rock bottom and Lily is the one lifeline he has to hold onto to make it to the other side. Their ride was emotional, loving and I enjoyed all the Hill family showing up as well as all the other pseudo members, Hades, Zeus, Poseidon and his family. I’m looking forward to see what this author has in store for Remy’s book.

Jameson and Lily's relationship is strained, especially when she reveals she is pregnant with their child. On their wedding day, she is kidnapped by a hitman, prompting an all-hands-on-deck rescue involving characters from other series. The emotional toll causes Jameson to have a mental breakdown but he quickly recovers with the support of his family. The story concludes with family bonding and healing, as well as a gathering of couples from other series that hints at setting up for the next generation. The hitman remains at large, laying the groundwork for future stories. Despite the turmoil, there's a HEA for the couple as they look forward to their future together.

Tropes : revenge, rich people, sunshine h, rom com vibe with a tinge of dark romance
Ending : Cliffhanger
Triggers : 💀 of parents, violence, kidnapping, childhood trauma
Spice : 🌶️🌶️🌶️/5
Angst : 🔥🔥🔥/5
OM/OW drama : none
Intimacy details: rough sex, hair pulling, oral, no condom
Standalone/Series : book 2/3

Hero : Jameson August Hill (late 20s)
Heroine: Liliana ‘Lily’ Hayes (18-20?)

In this one we deal with Jameson’s trauma in depth. He was reaching his breaking point and he collapsed. Forced to face his nightmares and thankfully he recovered and thrived.

I would love to see more of the pregnancy scenes like their first doctor appointment etc to show some cute interactions but sadly none of that.

The ending was quite nice, Lily got to meet her mom after not knowing whether she was still alive or not.

Oh any they have a baby boy and she’s pregnant again with a baby girl in the epilogue.

I really loved this angsty, suspenseful, and emotional conclusion to this trilogy! Plain Sight picks up after the events of Close Call’s shocking cliffhanger. You must read Close Call and Flight Risk before picking this book up. All of the books in the trilogy are about Jameson and Lily.

Although this book starts out with Lily in trouble, I’m more worried about Jameson. He is spiraling and he needs to decide what he wants his life to be like. Can he just move forward to have a happy life with Lily? How consumed by revenge is he? His risky behavior is putting everything at risk. In this book, his family really shows up for him. There were some great moments with the rest of the Hill family as well as Hades, Zeus, and Poseidon’s family.

I can’t wait to see what this author releases next.

The final chapter of Jameson and Lily's life went out with a bang. There was soo much emotional drama with Jameson and dealing with the death of his parents. This goes to say that SHTF in an epic way and sometimes you can only stand by and be there for the ones you love to help them through it. I am scared for myself when that happens due to the many things from my past that has been bottled up but also wish that I have the kind of support system Jameson has.

But I think this one was due and shows what can happen if you bottle things up. Amelia wrote it perfectly in my opinion. Now to wait for Remy's story and I can already feel it will be another rollercoaster ride as all of the Hill siblings have had. Now to see if there are any hidden ghost for her since she was the youngest when her parents died.

Jameson Hill, what can I say other than not even marrying Lily has healed him of his self inflicted torment and the unhealed trauma of tragically losing his parents and the fact that his older brother survived because their father pushed him out of a window shattering his knee but the aftermath of his healing process and their loss of everything they knew and make do in whatever way these young men could at that time to keep themselves together is sad. And If anything Lily’s brief but no less traumatic kidnapping has made Jameson pretty much unhinged. He’s not in his right mind and the sleep deprivation is not making him think clearly. Obviously Mason and Gabriel are aware pretty much right away, with the keeping their phones on them bit but, Jameson knows that it comes down to either him or Lily’s grandfather and he’ll do just about anything to make sure that Lily is safe.

Amelia finished Jameson and Lily’s story perfectly. She slayed my heart with this book. Ot starts where Close Call ended and Jameson knows that Lily didn’t leave him. He intends to find her and get married. Once they do, Jameson becomes more and more fixated on finding the man responsible for taking her. They already know who ordered it, and he wants the man who took her to pay. Amelia sure brought out the feels and my heart just ached for Jameson. You’ll know when you read it. There is drama, angst, suspense, past haunt, dark and light and some twists. These two are the other’s half. Lily is Jameson’s Angel and he will protect her with everything he’s got. I can’t wait to see what Amelia has in store for Remy’s story.

What an amazing conclusion to this trilogy, Jameson and Lily’s story is heartbreaking but has such a lovely ending. The three brothers have such tragic stories that bring tears to my eyes and I have to keep reminding myself that it is just a story, not real - testament to Amelia Wilde's skill as a writer. A lot happens in this story and much is resolved but not all and Rémy needs her story. The transformation of Jameson in this story is heartwarming but it was not an easy road to get there. Hades and Zeus play a pivotal role in his recovery and Daisy was so sweet. A great read that was Impossible to put down.

That was a wild ride! Between the dreams and the worrying and life happening, Jameson and Lily have a packed and busy start to married life. The whole book is sureal. Poor Jameson still can't seem to enjoy anything without a sense of dread following it. He is still a tortured soul. Idk how he doesn't collapse. BUT the details that I really appreciated about the story were that for everything to be right when it came to Jameson, it really was never dependent on Lily. Family was needed. His brothers have a huge role in his well-being. Also, I loved having their friends included and getting new POVs. I'm excited about what comes next.

A great ending to a fantastic series!

Jameson and Lily’s story continues from the cliffhanger from Close Call, the previous book in this series. It’s all chaos. It was enlightening to see into the mind of a person in serious grief and the repercussions that occur from it. Then there’s the love that’s all around them in the family and their friends. It was a great wrap up of this series to finally find answers to all their questions from when their parents were killed. It was nice to hear from other characters who had their own chapters. Wonderful book and series. Kudos to Amelia Wilde for her superb writing.

I received an ARC for an honest review.

I love Lily and Jameson! And out of the Hill siblings, I think Jameson might be the most broken....at least emotionally. And it was so heartbreaking to watch him just fall apart. It was also heartwarming to see his family and loved ones gather around him and help him start to heal! And this book has the right amount of spice for these two! And the HEA was so sweet! And I also loved the POVs from a few different people that just teased me so good for future books!! I just wanted to swoon! I love this world and how she continues to connect her books by making them friends!! Can you imagine these powerhouses in real life?!?! And, I'm just going to leave you with that!

The conclusion to Lily and Jameson's story was a whirlwind. I enjoyed the ending and the teasing to Remy's story however found parts a bit rushed and parts hard to follow with what was happening with Jameson's mental health. Having finished the book I understand where the author was going, as the reader I found it sometimes a struggle to stay focused on what was happening. It was a well written book and I loved all the characters that were in play in this book. I am so interested in Dev's story and hope we will get that one day.

This is the conclusion to Jameson and Lily's crazy journey of love. This book picks up where book two Close Call left off and talk about an edge of my seat emotional ride. I wasn't sure how this trilogy would end because these two have been through a lot so getting their happily ever after made the conclusion to their story that much better. Plain Sight is a well written, heartbreakingly beautiful story with intense characters, drama, suspense, steam, and a page turning story that held my attention from the first page till the last. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.

Jameson! My goodness! It’s so rare that a book can make me cry but Jameson about broke me! His self-torture of his past and the way he sees himself brought me to tears in this book! Such a beautiful broken man hiding behind his humor and good looks. Just goes to show you never know what someone may be hiding. This one was so special! Lily and her undying faith and love in him! His brothers and the special friendships they have built with Zeus, Hades, and Poseidon. What a great ending to the trilogy!!

Lily and Jameson's story ends in a turmoil of emotions. It's so heartbreaking to read what Jameson goes through. The suspense is killer, but it's also balanced by lots of laughs. I love the dynamic of this couple so much, and of course I loved reconnecting with the rest of the Hills' family and friends.
This final installment is the more than worthy conclusion to their story, and I can't wait to dive into Remy's story.

Honestly, five stars are not enough for the conclusion of Jameson and Lily’s story.

From the first book to this final book, Amelia Wilde is written a story that is both heartbreaking and heart mending. I was all up in the feels and on the edge of my seat as the story played out. Don't worry, it's all balanced out with witty banter, epic cameos (Hades, Zuez, and Poseidon), and the perfect chemistry of Jameson and Lily.

Goodness! What an ending to this amazing trilogy! I love this family, but Jameson always had an extra special place in my heart 🥹 And they went through it! This picks right up where Close Call ended, and you are on a roller coaster of emotions throughout. ALL the emotions! I definitely need to re-read the series straight through, now that I have them all. And do make sure you have tissues handy. You’ll need them ❤️

Great conclusion to Jameson and Lily’s story. Jameson has to deal with his deacons in order to keep his family safe and for him to come through the other side. It was such an emotional story. I love that his mom is always with him trying her hardest to guide him.
There was of course suspense since the last book left us hanging off a cliff! but there was also tenderness, passion, and a family ultimately pulling together.

When Lily is stolen from Jameson, he won't rest till she is back in his arms. Who would dare to take her away from him? I loved this conclusion to Lily and Jameson's story, the angst, danger and intense passion between them. And of course I loved all those familiar character from other stories sneaking in and adding their personalities to the story.
I am voluntarily reviewing a copy I received, and giving my thoughts and opinions on it.

Finally, we get some answers and get to see what James has been dealing with since his parents death. Lily has been great for him in working things out. The book had me hooked to see how this is going to work out, if James is ever going to find peace. So many ups and downs that this family has had to overcome to get to this point. Up next is Remy and I can't wait.
