Already being hailed as "the modern reader's Think and Grow Rich!", this lively, funny, penetrating book follows on the heels of Chandler's previous international best sellers 100 Ways to Motivate Yourself and 100 Ways to Motivate Others. These 100 eye-opening ways to create wealth are drawn from the author's successful careers, with many touching personal stories as well as stories and examples from the hundreds of clients these master coaches have advised. This book is chock full of ways to make money, deepen life's pleasure, increase personal wage-earning power, and start fresh entrepreneurial ideas right at home.
Written for the age of the home-business entrepreneur, this book will appeal to everyone from company CEOs, to life coaches, to stay at home moms, to internet fans, to people who are simply thinking of converting a hobby into wealth. This is the deepest and most penetrating study yet of the psychology of prosperity, and the action steps necessary to produce wealth.
This book offered nothing original. Normally, I at least have a couple of key take always from motivational books that I read. This book listed either items I’ve heard before, were not effective strategies, were just basic common sense items, or were items I felt were bad advice.
I also believe like this book was incorrectly titled. A better name would have been 100 Ways to Possibly Impact Your Business’ Success. Most of these “ways to build wealth” were a stretch and would maybe be considered indirect strategies, at best. Some suggestions were actually items of what not to do. Based on the title, I thought the book would be ways to save or strategies on how to build your individual future wealth. If you’re looking for this, I strongly recommend The Millionaire Next Door.
The other issue with this book is that it tells the reader, multiple time, not to market themselves, not to develop a personal brand, and not to network. I strongly disagree with this, as I’ve built my entire successful career from networking. Thus, this author lost a lot of credibility.
Lastly, I listened to this book on Audible. The entire time I was listening to it, all I could think of was that his voice sounded like the character from TV Guide episode of Seinfeld that was obsessed with Elaine and TV Guides.
Save your time and money, by not reading this book.
This book was full of concise and clever insights about generating wealth. In particular, I think it is best suited to business owners and the entrepreneurs, but there’s a lot of wisdom in here for everyone else. I thought the most interesting point, and one that came up often in this book, is that the best way to create wealth is to solve problems. I’ve always imagined wealth generation as being the result of expertise and connections. While I think that’s true, and the authors discuss specialization as being important to wealth generation, problem solving seems to be at the heart of opportunity. Really great read with a digestible format.
This book covers many of the topics that I loved about "Thou Shall Prosper" by Rabbi Daniel Lapin. I am only through the first 25 Ways but all of them have been useful and practical. At this point I would rate this book as a must read!
What a great to summarize key opinions from Steve Chandler and Sam Beckford. Public speakers and coaches are rarely haled as brilliant minds that one must read however many of the discussed topics in this book I have encountered form one book or another and it’s refreshing to have them all summarized and handy for a stimulating quick read. I often found myself reflecting if I followed some of this principles and justifying why I do not follow or believe the rest. In other word I don’t think I will buy and expensive Rolex and fly first class to prove that I deserve wealth, but appreciating and thanking more and more people, staff colleagues, employees as well and valuing the even flow of money had me smiling.
This book is amazing! I recommend to anyone who is just starting their journey in wanting wealth, starting a business, or being an entrepreneur. He offers such wise and great advice. Don't get confused though, this book does not offer a step-by-step instructions or practical methods on how to go from $0 to $5000+ in your pocket. However, it does give 100 really helpful advice to make sure you leave this book with the right mindset on for your path to becoming a successful businessmen, rich person, and entrepreneur. This is the best first step to take in your journey!
Also, narration is good; energetic and includes fluctuation in tone!
I listened to this book on audible and really enjoyed it. I would love to go back and physically read the book, because I am sure I missed a lot just listening to it. I enjoyed the way the book was written and think that there was a lot of great advice given.
One of the most practical/actionable self-improvement (if that's what you want to call it) books I have ever read. Finished in 2 days on Audible and took detailed notes. I plan on meditating on a chapter every morning moving forward.
Steve Chandler has newer books, but this one is a classic (just ignore the references to yellow pages & Trump).

Lot of folksy talk from consultants. They talk I'm curious if they do as they say. I would bet 5 dollars these two aren't hnwis. I especially needed to hear the quote from Ben Hogan towards the end of the book.

Already being hailed as The modern reader's Think and Grow Rich! in this lively, funny, penetrating book, Chandler and co-author Sam Beckford follow on the heels of Chandler's previous international bestsellers 100 Ways to Motivate Yourself and 100 Ways to Motivate Others. These 100 eye-opening ways to create wealth are drawn from the author's successful careers, with many touching personal stories as well as stories and examples from the hundreds of clients these master coaches have advised. This book is chock full of ways to make money, deepen life's pleasure, increase personal wage-earning power and start fresh entrepreneurial ideas right at home. Written for the age of the home-business entrepreneur, the book appeals to everyone from company CEOs, to life coaches, to stay at home moms, to internet fans to people who are simply thinking of converting that hobby into wealth. This is the deepest and most penetrating study yet of the psychology of prosperity, and the action steps necessary to produce wealth. Was a interesting read with some insightful reflections and well presented. Geared for all walks of life's and situations the authors offer up suggestions for creating wealth and happiness. They point out the biggest road block to achieving anything is our mind set, as they point on about money just move the decimal point. I would recommend this for those who want a new or perhaps its an old perspective put in simple terms.
I really like the attitude of the author here, as the goal of making money through adding value to the world seems to be one that is slowly expiring.
The problem is that after the introduction, most of the "Ways" Chandler details are more geared towards entrepreneurs, sales representatives, and people who already own or manage a business. It's mostly good advice, but very little of this will be helpful to sole proprietors or those looking to get into business for themselves. For people who are already in the above mentioned categories, most of this is common sense.
Too many times we dream without action. Wealth, doesn't come to the lazy. Wealth, doesn't come from making excuses. We currently live in an Information Age with so many videos, so many books, and so much resources on how to make wealth. Sadly, so many people don't even take the chance or even try because they're too busy focusing on the what ifs rather than the how. You got a dream? Go out and get it make something of yourself! The only person that's holding you back is the person in the mirror that you see every morning.
This book is definitely geared towards small business owners and staunch capitalists. I am neither. so many parts of the book either did not resonate with me or clashed with my worldview… however as someone who grew up poor, I felt the need to reflect on my mindset towards money and possibly reframe how I see it. This book served as a stepping stone for that conversation..
Obviously, none of this book is original and much is borrowed from others. However, if you are small business owner or looking to change your mindset about money, I may recommend this book.
As promised in the beginning, the book presents 100 ideas for creating or thinking about wealth. It's a mix of good reminders, rules of thumb, or ways to shift your perspectives on money. It's less of a how-to guide and more of a motivational speech. In that, it is effective. I found myself multiple times thinking about how to apply some of the ideas to the things I'm doing. While some of the examples are dated, I didn't find that it distracted from the overall message.
It’s a fun book, and covers and reinforces some of Chandlers other works, such as Chandler’s Self Motivation book. Even with the repetition of some teachings, Chandler challenges some deeply ingrained class envy which has not only become a part of our political and cultural rhetoric — which has damaged not only our society as a whole but has stifles individual growth. Chandler’s message is a challenge and an invitation.
Meh. Some good nuggets in there for sure, but I find it hard to take seriously anyone who believes that their wealth is somehow tied to their religion or ordained by G-d. Between the biblical quotes juxtaposed to the DT quotes, it was clear that the authors were not so subtly letting readers know they are aligned with a certain ideology that I know many people today buy into, but for me just feels gross and slimy and made it difficult to feel connected to the content.
The power is in its simplicity. This is a must have business book that I would put alongside some of the great ones. Why? Through this book, I realized that wealth comes after being internally happy. I'm currently reading several books about spirituality, politics, fitness, and economics and I am seeing a common thread in all of them.
Better than most self help books…. An easy listening book with fun comments here and there, most importantly inspiring you to do and be better. To change the way you think about wealth, money, the world, about your previous brainwashing about the SECRET!
Well I just wrote a whole page but its somewhere down at the bottom never to be seen again. COME ON GOODREADS!
Surprisingly good for this category of books. Stumbled on it as Audible had this title for free for a member. Ended up buying the kindle version to highlight stuff - there ended up being a lot of good nuggets on various topics not just money making. I guess coaches have better things to say than taking head experts and celebrated luminaries.
This book is mostly common sense logic with bits where Steve goes againsttraditional wisdom explaining why it is wrong. Some of it feels very wise, some feels short sighted. Great book if you are new or need unstuck with a stubborn self held mindset.
While seemingly a bit disjointed at first, like a massive bullet point list, I found this book to be very helpful. If you are a budding entrepreneur who has already covered a lot of the classic self improvement books, this will nicely round you out. I intend on reading it again.
Although '100 ways to motivate yourself' is better in my opinion, this book is like its lesser talented twin. Both books are fantastic and i've gotten a mouthful of wisdom and advice in each. I recommend the audio books as any familiar with Steve's voice will too.
The style was just a list which was to be expected. I thought the ideas weren’t revolutionary, but for this type of book That wasn’t what I was looking for. There were lots of good little reminders that made it a worthwhile listen for me.
