Began gaming at the age of 8 and explored a lot of different ways to play table top. When I got older, I experimented with MMOs and found a few I really liked. My first job was mowing lawns as a young teen, and I worked to use the money to pay for fantasy series like DragonLance, Dark Sun, and Forgotten Realms. As soon as I discovered LitRPG I knew I wanted to incorporate it into my writing.

Aside from taking care of my sons as a single father, writing is what I love to do most. I hope you all enjoy my work.

No story.

The first part was all power growth without supervision. The next was a rushed set up. The last was a very rushed fight that was not satisfying. This book is a quick transition piece that is lacking its own story.

a fantastic continuation of an amazing dragon story

[Spoilers for book 1 in this review]

So, I read the first and I loved it, gave it 5 stars but didn't leave a written review. If you don't wanna read more I'll just say now, if you enjoyed book 1 you'll enjoy book 2. Don't think too hard about it just jump in. Anyways....

I am in love with this story and the characters.

Nemesis immediately jumped up to one of my favorite haremlit MCs and he is one of the more unique MCs in the genre in my opinion. His perspective is a breath of fresh air. He's a DRAGON first, humanoid second. He struggles to understand some of the goals and desires of his partners because they just don't make a lot sense to his nature as a dragon. But he still tries because he loves at least one of them and the feelings are growing between him and the others more and more. He's prideful but not to the point of being a moron. His abilities kinda give him a cheat when it comes to his relationships but he doesn't abuse it unless giving them the time of their lives in the bedroom counts. Which it doesn't.

Speaking of his partners; they're great. Harper cares and wants to help others so that they don't go through what she and nemesis went through. Min is trying to move from under the shadow of her family and enjoy her new family. We learn more about Talia and Kaia in this book so I won't say much more but they're a delight. Oh and the spice is very nice.

One major difference from this book to the last is the timescale. Where book sees a 10 year time jump where our characters power spikes. Personally I'm sort of conflicted on this because while I would have loved to see the first time Harper rode on Nemmys back, or his first time trying out his psionic powers, I understand that in the grand scheme these aren't as important as the moments we do get and but couldn't help but feel sort of cheated in that regard. Anyways in this book majority of the action takes place ovet the course of a few consecutive days with the biggest time jump being a week or 2. I have to mention that there are quite a few spelling and grammatical errors. Nothing that ruined the story, experience, or anything like that but it's there.

On the one hand: This is a great book, it's well written, the protagonist is unique and fascinating, the world is interesting, the characters are great, the plot is gripping, really, everything (with one exception) is amazing.

On the other hand: There's that one exception. Because for whatever reason, I've found I really don't care for cultivation/xianxia elements in books; I just find them really tedious. And while book 1 gave me the hope that cultivation was going to be a background element (because while the *riders* were cultivators, the protagonist, as a dragon, was not), this book double and trippled down on the cultivation elements. Apparently we're just really, really doing this, and not just as part of the setting but as critical plot elements.

...which is...fine. It's a great series, I love the author, I'll put up with it. I know it's a personal quirk of mine. Some people hate litrpg elements, or romance, it's fine.

Still wish there was about 100% fewer references to "mana density" though.

This be good

Again, loving the different perspective. It’s very refreshing. There’s a lot to compliment on the writing and not a lot on problems.
The only very small thing for me is some of the editing/grammatical errors. There is a few but honestly there not too bad and easy to gloss over.

More meat than most

I enjoyed the pacing. You wanted to find out what was going to happen. I loved the twists and turns. Lastly, the main dragon was consistently drawn. He never slipped into human emotions.

It must be quite tricky to write an engaging story around ‘big-dicked dragon shags his way to power’, but they’ve managed it. A nice adventure story.
