Inner Unlock Your Purpose and Passion tells the story of how one man’s struggle to find the true meaning of life evolved into a worldwide movement known as Inner Voice™. Internationally recognized businessman, financial expert, and real-estate icon Russ Whitney spent five years and 20,000 hours researching and developing this program. It is built on simple yet powerful principles and strategies that guide readers to identify their purpose; develop their passion; and have a peaceful, joyful, and successful life that’s richer and more fulfilling than they ever dreamed possible. Inner Voice is a dramatic departure from Whitney’s earlier best-selling books, which all focused on financial success, real estate, and wealth-building strategies. Instead, he now teaches from personal experience the happiness that can be found in humility; the importance of living in the moment; the need to understand, recognize, and master the immutable laws of the universe; and how to surrender and find real answers and peace with what you can’t control. In addition, he introduces readers to powerful life-changing tools, including the Discovery Chart and two-way conscious contact, to achieve and maintain a connection with their Inner Voice. This step-by-step guide demonstrates exactly how to apply Inner Voice principles and strategies on a daily basis in order to be free of anxiety, frustration, fear, doubt, guilt, and shame so that you can have the spectacular life your creator intended for you.
As self help books go, I think I'm above the average person, not that I don't need self help books anymore, far from it! However, I think there is a beginning point and I'm past that and I felt like Inner Voice is more for people that are just beginning or wanting to get more out of what that inner voice is telling them.
Not that I walked away without anything, there is a lot of great information in here. So much so that I had to highlight as I went along and I do plan on reading this again.
The parts that turned me off was mainly the beginning where Russ Whitney is explaining how he got into this way of thinking. He goes into great detail about how and why he needed this change in his life and how and why you may also. What I did really like (REALLY!!) was that he isn't trying to shove religion down anyone's throats, however, multiple times he talks about God. But not the perspective of say, God as an old man with a beard sitting in white clouds, he talks about YOUR version of God. He explains that no matter how you think of God, whether he is that old man, or if your meaning of god is more of the universe in all of its glory, he basically says to use that version and to run with it. Do not let anyone take your version of God from you. I thought that was amazing and rarely do I read where spiritual leaders are saying that you have a version and you need to believe in your version. Loved this.
So, even if you're not a beginning to talking to your version of god, I think this book could be enjoyed by so many. Just take the first few chapters and run through them and really get into the meat of the material, it's worth it.
I would say after reading it that it's an usual inspirational book which certainly motivate you to make some changes in your life and guide you to consider different situations with different and more accurate perspective. During your whole reading time you will find Russ Whitney sharing his life story and connecting some of his life incidents with message of higher power or God.
