Highly Recommended

As someone who has done life coaching, I’m always on the lookout for things that will help my clients so I checked out this book for some inspo. Now I recommend it to everyone I can!

One of the things I have noticed is that women resort to hardness and rigidity when they are in survival mode. They abandon their softness and they may even be negative, or dark, in their mindset. So they have negative thought patterns that do not serve them.

This book “How To Live A Soft Life” literally has sets of affirmations that reprogram you to think in a positive way. It’s like it’s holding your hand for you but also encouraging you to make an effort in your life. It will definitely inspire you to be more confident, truthful and in love with yourself.

I cannot recommend this book enough!

This helps a lot.

I have to admit that I was someone who once saw softness as weakness, but recent experiences made me think otherwise so I decided to check out this book and it has opened my eyes further. Now I understand why embracing vulnerability requires real strength. I had never really thought about the fact that the most authentic, and (truly) confident, people are the ones who are the most vulnerable in their hearts. This definitely guides women to embodying a more powerful state that isn't based on the hyper-masculine ideals that you see today with the whole feminism movement. I absolutely loved it.

*Must read if you are interested in softening*
What an amazing detailing of the feminine energy and why it is a healing experience for anyone to connect with it. The book solves quite a few issues that we in the modern day are facing. Living trapped in the clutches of harsh corporate culture, or healing from toxic relationships, or even just growing up “hard”, many of us have trouble “softening”. This book is a good starting point for anyone looking to learn how to let go and release the things that are keeping you from living in tune with flow and ease.

The book can be challenging at first if you're coming from a place where some of these things can be triggering. If you are easily triggered, maybe this book isn't for you. But if you are the type that is open to new information then I think it's something you will like. After reading it (and actually doing the things it shares in the book), you become better at 'embodying' certain spiritual principles and it has a nice effect on your social life.

*Good Perspective*
I was most interested in learning about how to move through my emotions in a way that’s healthy. I often resort to being aggressive or combative as a way to defend myself. So the chapter on how to express or relate to your emotions in a healthy way was a big bonus for me. It broke in down into three different aspects (dealing with negative feelings, expressing authenticity and increasing positive feelings). I liked the depth that it provided in this area.

I like that this is part instruction manual and part invitation to embrace moving at a slower pace and actually enjoying things. I think we do get caught up in the rat race and trying to keep up with the break neck speed of daily life. It’s a reminder to slow down in every sense and start enjoying things again.

It’s ok to stop and smell the roses. And then buy some for yourself to decorate your house or sprinkle in a luxurious bath. Maybe both.

The best thing about this book is that it is to the point. Some of the “personal development” books out there are only good at making you feel nice. But this one feels good AND it has a lot of practical advice. So you can actually see a difference in your life. Now I see things through a different lens and I’m relating to myself and others in a new way.

What I really enjoyed is the affirmations. I’ve always known the power of the tongue and the importance of having a good mindset. This book helped me to learn how to use my mind in the right way to start thinking and feeling in a way that’s really good.

Lots of really good points and different ways to looking at things, although some of seemed like an oversimplification of dealing with deeper issues, but still a useful read for those who've experienced deep trauma and to use in conjunction with therapy as part of a healing process.

This book is like a breath of fresh air! In a world where the agenda is to make girls and women forget about their femininity and take on the more masculine role, How to Live a Soft Life has a glorious message for young women. I totally recommend this book!
