Echoes at Driftwood Cottage

Rate this book
After inheriting Driftwood Cottage from her grandmother, graphics designer Rowan Eaton gives up her high-paying job in San Diego to return to her hometown of Pelican Pointe. The welcome wagon turns out to be none other than Daniel Cardiff, the hunky guy she had a fling with during her last stint home at Christmas. While their relationship picks up where it left off, they soon have a mystery to unravel. Why is there a headstone in the town cemetery with Rowan Eaton’s name on it? Forced to confront decades of long-buried secrets, Rowan realizes she knows nothing about her real past. Truth turns out to be a series of well-crafted lies. When the mystery turns into murder, Rowan begins to believe that circling back to where you started isn’t always what it’s cracked up to be. Echoes at Driftwood Cottage is a twisted tale of deceit, betrayal, and heartbreak.

Vickie's novels have consistently appeared on Amazon’s Top 100 lists in Contemporary Romance, Romantic Suspense and mystery / thriller. She writes what she loves to read -- heartwarming romance laced with suspense, heart-pounding thrillers, and riveting mysteries. Vickie loves to write about compelling and down-to-earth characters in settings that stay with her readers long after they've finished her books.

She's the author of twenty novels and numerous short stories with no plans to slow down. She's looking at a busy 2017, adding a new book, Beneath Winter Sand, to her Pelican Pointe Series and releasing a fifth Skye Cree book, Truth in the Bones. Plus, she has plans to begin a brand new series, in a brand new setting. Stay tuned for updates by subscribing to her mailing list.

Vickie writes full-time. But when she does take a break from banging out the next novel, she loves to get outside. Even though hanging out at the beach is at the top of her list, there's nothing quite like a long, soul-searching walk through the woods, daylight preferred, of course.

I have read most of the books Vickie Mckeehan has written and I have enjoyed every one! I look forward to reading them all! All her series keep familiar characters in each book while adding new, interesting characters to enhance the stories and add interesting twists, "Echoes at Driftwood Cottage" is no exception. Please read the books in each series in order. It adds to the enjoyment of the story.

Another engrossing read in this series which mixes romance with suspense and a dash of the paranormal through Scott.
But are we ever going to get back to the original mystery?

Love this series another grand slam for Vickie McKeehan . Contemporary mystery with romance, people to care about and an awesome place, Pelican Pointe. I love seeing characters from previous books, and of course Scott. This one was intriguing, informative and heartbreaking. Talk about deceit and betrayal wow, did not see that coming. As long as Vickie keeps writing I will keep reading her books. Something for everyone in her varied series.

A very emotional story, I really feel for Rowan and everything she is and has gone through in her life. Luckily she came back to Pelican Pointe where she had plenty of new friends to help her sort through everything from the past.

WOW! A deep an emotional, thoroughly involved mystery and sweet love story. I loved this one a lot. But please tell me there will be more from Pelican Point.

Read a second time as I enjoyed it so much the first time, but forgot how they solved the mystery!

Echoes

This was the most intriguing book! Absolutely kept me wanting to read more. It has to be one of the craziest books I’ve read ever. When you grow up believing something that is actually not true can be very unsettling. How this cold case is solved was very involved and it was very interesting. The secrets that were revealed by the investigation were unbelievable. Then throw a ghost in the mix and you will see that it is even more fascinating.
