Finding the truth comes at a cost; it’s just a matter of how steep the price will be.
Agent Carter is determined to uncover the culprit behind the high chancellor’s kidnapping, no matter what. Her team is working hard to unravel the mysterious code they’ve found in Santiago’s records, but the evidence only leads to more questions and fewer answers.
All Kit wants is to no longer fear for her safety or for Ben’s. She’s tired of looking over her shoulder and waiting for another attack. If that means she has to swallow her pride, break the law, go on a fake date, or work with a team, she’s willing to do it. However, she’s used to doing things her way, and she’s never been much of a team player.
Cassia thought she left the past behind when she and Steel returned to Novus Terra. Unfortunately, when danger arrives on their doorstep, they’re pulled back into chaos. She’ll do whatever it takes to ensure the threat is neutralized for good this time, even if it means working with people she doesn’t like or trust.
To defeat their common enemy, all of them must work together as a team—if they can set aside their own selfish goals. Their enemy is willing to intimidate, attack, threaten, kidnap, and even kill to keep from being caught. When tensions rise and personalities clash, can they unearth the culprit’s identity before it’s too late?
Can the team survive without them or their loved ones becoming collateral damage?
Enemy's Scheme is the fourth book in the Solar Hearts series, and should only be read after the first three. There will be eight books total in the series featuring six couples.
Jenn has been crafting stories since she was old enough to hold a pen. She started out with a notebook to jot down ideas, characters, and short stories. Eventually she got a computer and continued to write. In her spare time, she dreams up different worlds and characters and will play out stories in her head before ever putting pen to page.
She grew up in rural Ohio and attended college in northeastern Pennsylvania. Creative writing was her original major, but she changed course partway through and got her associates degree in general studies. English has always been her favorite subject.
Jenn also loves animals, particularly cats, and treats her cat like her baby. Outside of reading and writing, she loves listening to music and baking. Baking is her love language, and she enjoys making cookies and cakes for her friends and family.
Agent Carter will have a special place in my heart because of everything that is happening and constantly fearing for your survival?! I enjoyed the side characters actually having storylines and being intertwined in with the MCs.
Enemy's Scheme by Jenn Allen is book four in the Solar Hearts Series. I’ve been reading this series since the beginning and each book brings something new and fresh to this adventure. Just when I think each book couldn’t get any better, Jenn Allen proves me wrong. I read this book in about a day not really ever wanting to put my kindle down. This book was full of mystery and adventure. I love the characters and how each have this fleshed out personality. The book was really well written but I expect nothing less when it comes to this author. I’m looking forward to the next book already!
Bad stuff happens (a lot of bad stuff). But I love these characters. Different characters narrate different chapters from first person pov. And everyone from previous books meets in Scheme. Everyone isn't instant friends; there's definitely hostility, and some of it is surprising. The story is thrilling and well-written with some well-timed humor. An intriguing new character caught my interest, and I hope he gets a later book. I definitely recommend this series.
Super alien romantic adventure! I really enjoyed it. Action, danger, and mystery.. Heartfelt romance and deep friendships. Wonderful to see all the characters brought together. Love this series!
