The Maple Hills Hannah Grace 2 Books Collection
Anastasia Allen has worked her entire life for a shot at Team USA. It looks like everything is going according to plan when she gets a full scholarship to the University of California, Maple Hills and lands a place on their competitive figure skating team. Nothing will stand in her way, not even the captain of the hockey team, Nate Hawkins. Nate’s focus as team captain is on keeping his team on the ice.
When Russ and Aurora cross paths at a university party, a drinking game ends with them spending the night together. The next day, Aurora slips away before Russ learns her full name. This anonymity ends when they both turn up to their first day of work as camp counsellors. A job they had both chosen to escape Maple Hills for the summer. Given their history, there’s still an obvious tension between the two but the camp has a strict “no staff fraternizing” rule.
I WILL FOREVER LOVE YOU HANNA, omg one of my favorite love stories, I read more dark romance and picked up icebreaker because of TikTok and I was hooked right away, love love love
Icebreaker' is such a fun and surprisingly heartfelt college romance. You get Anastasia, a driven figure skater with her whole life planned out, and Nate, the swoon-worthy captain of the hockey team. Their worlds collide (literally, thanks to a prank gone wrong!), forcing them to share an ice rink. The forced proximity and initial clashing of their intense personalities lead to so much good banter and undeniable chemistry. But it's not just fluff; the book delves into Anastasia's pressures and past trauma, and Nate is just the most supportive, understanding golden retriever hero you could ask for. Plus, you get introduced to the whole hilarious and tight-knit hockey team, who play a bigger role in the subsequent books. If you love a good sports romance with amazing side characters and a hero who will make you melt, this is it.
Then, you immediately need to dive into 'Wildfire'. This one follows Russ, one of Nate's teammates from 'Icebreaker,' and Aurora, a really interesting and complex character dealing with her own family issues. They have a super hot one-night stand that neither expects to mean anything, only to completely shock each other by showing up as counselors at the same summer camp! The "no staff fraternizing" rule creates the perfect കേരള (forbidden romance) tension. Their story is a fantastic mix of steamy moments, genuine emotional connection, and working through personal stuff. You see more of the found family dynamic with appearances from characters you loved in 'Icebreaker,' and the summer camp setting adds a really fun, slightly nostalgic element.
I read both Icebreaker and Wildfire. Even though a lot of people don't like it because it was over hyped I still enjoyed the books. I will not read the 3rd book (daydream) because I don't find it interesting, but I do recommend trying this series to see if you like it.
I adore these books I love that the characters found someone to feel safe with. I also loved that you see the characters in the other books. Personally I prefer wildfire because summer camp has always had a special place in my heart, I would love if I found someone like Russ if I was a councilor.
I liked the characters but I thought some of it was predictable. I live the humor and banter. And of course I’m obsessed with wanting to date Russ myself. But Ice Breakers was a lot better IMO
These books got me back into reading, the spice in Icebreaker was great and it was an easy read. Storyline not the most captivating but was written well. Looking forward to Daydream!
