Lovely story and beautiful color illustrations, The Mitten by Jessica Southwick, illustrated by Pippa Cutnick, and paper-engineered by Yevgeniya Yeretskaya is a retelling of “the classic Ukrainian folk tale.” These illustrations have interactive pull tabs and wheels and are found among darling pop-ups of magical landscape drawings produced by an award-winning paper-engineer. Beautifully done!

The pop ups and interactive parts of this book are generally good but the last page has so much text it would have been much better to add two pages and break it up.
