My review would likely be full of spoilers, and I don’t play like that. 2+2 did equal 4 … and then equation after equation knocked me right back down! The timeline had me looking sideways at times, but eh. This is the author’s first book? Well, it was good! On to book 2 🫣

Amil and Wesley

This is a New author to me. i enjoyed reading this book. While reading, I'm trying to absorbing all the character connections and somehow everyone is connected. The flash backs are very telling and Always paint a picture of the moment. As the story continues I wonder what is next...looking forward to book 2.

The book honestly needs another round of editing. There are multiple errors throughout. The writing itself wasn't particularly good, mediocre if Im honest. There was a clear lack of research ... the birth scene, some of the therapy scenes, ect. The blurb for the book certainly draws you in, but it 'gives' thriller vibes and if that's what you're looking for you won't find them here. There is a lot going on and new characters are still being introduced 80% of the way through the book. The twist was very predictable and I figured it out in the beginning of the book. The nicknames were killing me. It was just kind of meh and I won't be reading the rest.

This series done ran my pressure all the way up. I really hope it’s not a long series. And the author has a quick turnaround because I don’t think my nerves can take it I don’t know if this is the authors first book. But this is the first I’ve read. And if this is any indication! They most definitely will be someone to watch out for. This was an outstanding book

Engaging

This book was well written and played on all my emotions. My heart bleeds for Fifty and Wesley. How much pain can one person endure? What a gift or curse, depending on how you look at it, for someone to leave behind. I can't wait to read Part 2. We know pieces of the truth, but to see it all play out is something else.

Whew!!!!!!! That was a lot to unpack!
TW: disturbing content involving abuse and sexual assault, addiction and mental health topics.

Connect the dots

It started out heavy. I felt horrible for Fifty. Blow after blow, he’s taking L’s left and right. Then there was a brief time of calm, progress, and shaky peace. Then things started being revealed and that is when the book really picked up! The flood gates were opened and there was no way to stop the flood.
Now that the major dots have connected and more are on the horizon, there’s even more heartbreak, drama, and trauma about to happen too.
How much more can Fifty and even Wesley endure.

Great read!

He's a Good Man Savannah

Imagine finding out your son has a family that you've never met & he dies. His dying wish is for you to take care of them. He left "her" to you in his will. Fifty is patient , smart , kind everything that Wesley needs after everything she's been through over the last decade. Normally I'm able to figure out how a book will end but babyyyyyy my mouth was on the floor at the end.

this is my first time …

This is my first read by this author , and as someone who is used to fast paced first person POV and prefer a lot of moving parts , I really enjoyed this slow burn . The way it’s written gives you a chance to really understand/know each character and wants you to keep reading . But the time I got to the end I was halfway off the chair the way I was sitting in the edge of the! Really loved this , on to part two !

started a little rough

This started a little rough and i honestly didn’t think i would finish the story. I’m glad i kept going even after stopping a few times. This is starting to get good, but I’m confused on what happened in the middle to end of the story. When first starting off there were little to no errors and then all of a sudden the errors got bad real bad. It’s like the editor just stopped working. I had to take 2 stars off for that alone.

new author

This author was new to me…. But OMG this story was amazing! I was hesitant to even read it because I’ve been having readers block and nothing has been able to hold my attention, and since I never read anything from this reader I wasn’t optimistic. But BOY WAS I WRONG!! Someone recommended this book and I’m glad I have it a chance. Can’t wait to read part 2!

4.5/5 this story is very wild I must say but I was surprised to learn that this is the authors first book. With this taboo story line and everything thing that goes on, I will say read this if you like the plot twist. This book has a "shock" factor for sure. Now I will say it's some inconsistencies with the characters ages, but I gave her grace because this is her first book.

The fact that fifty daughter sassy is so gullible that she let someone in to ruin her and her daddy life because she is a dummy and being used even in her right mind 🙄 how you let a idiot fool you 🫠 thats next level ! I just can’t deal , family ain’t always blood related especially if you don’t know them !

Six degrees of separation…

With a twist! Every character in this story had a connection. And once all the dots started connecting, one shocking reveal after another culminated in the biggest revelation of them all! What’s next for Fifty, Wesley and the Jones family? On to book 2 to find out!

I was very confused at first but then things started to make sense. Now a couple of the revelations I had figured out but a couple of em had me shook. Both Fifty & Wesley have been dealt some shitty cards & I’m actually rooting for them. Honestly, there is a whole lot of pieces to this puzzle, but I was definitely intrigued the entire time

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✨ 4.5 STARS;
Fifty cannot catch a break. It seems like just went the family was coming together and getting in the groove of the added members.. Things took a turn on every way possible! Wesley’s ability to fight and not resort to fear hopefully will be how her and Fifty handle everything that is going to come out in book 2.
