A dream wedding, a bride with cold feet, and the mountain man that comes to her rescue.

I never thought that, on my wedding day, I would literally bolt from my wedding, and into the arms of a grumpy mountain man. Emmett offers me a much-needed respite from the chaos, inviting me into his cabin to "hide out" until all the wedding guests leave. But I never think that we will get stuck together for days in the one-bed cabin during a major snowstorm, completely cut off from the outside world.

We go sledding and build snowmen, and he even takes me to cut down a Christmas tree for his cabin—something I've never done in my entire life. It's magical, like time is suspended.

I fall hard and fast for him, but when the snow stops and the roads have been cleared, we have no choice but to return to reality. I need to deal with the fallout from my failed wedding, and if I want the head wedding planner position my boss offers me, I have to convince Emmett and his family to allow more holiday weddings to be held on his farm.

Emmett is adamantly against it, and our relationship only complicates things. If I don't push this, I might lose my job, but if I do, I might lose the only man I've ever truly loved.

Will I finally get my Christmas wish and get everything I've ever wanted? Or will this go down as one of the worst holiday seasons on record?

A Holiday romance with a runaway bride and a grumpy Christmas tree farmer. An easy read to put you in the spirit of love and the beginning of a new series.

Ireland needs a place to hide out and think after calling off her wedding. A wedding that took place on a Christmas tree farm. Amid a snowstorm and some fun adventures, Ireland and Emmett find what they have is more than in relationships of the past.

A great read to put a start to the holidays and a new series about the Monroe Brothers.

Thank you to the Author for the advanced copy; this is my voluntary review.

5-star review of Runaway Love (The Monroe Brother #1) by Lea Coll

I love any story that is centred around Christmas and as I enjoy Lea Coll’s
writing style, and having read the blurb, I could not wait to read Runaway Love.

This is Ireland and Emmett’s story and it kept me entertained from the first to the last chapter.

Their relationship had its ups and downs but I loved how Emmett came through for Ireland when she needed it.

I loved the idea of being a snowed in at a Christmas tree farm. The banter was witty, the characters engaging and all in all this made for a wonderful read that certainly got me in the mood for the holidays.

I cannot wait to see what happens next in this series.

Finding out your fiancé has been cheating on you on your wedding day should really devastate you, shouldn't it?

When Ireland finds out on her wedding day that her fiancé has been cheating, she immediately halts the proceedings and is a bit stunned by this turn of events. After recovering a bit, she realizes that she isn't really all that hurt by James beyond her chagrin at realizing her mistake of almost marrying him. After her parents' multiple marriages and always feeling as though her parents were too wrapped up in their own romances rather than caring for their children, perhaps she was more invested in the idea of stability than actually in love with the groom.

The grumpy owner of the Christmas tree farm where her wedding was to be held finds her stunned and alone. When a snowstorm develops, Emmett gives Ireland a safe place to stay and come to terms with the sudden cancellation of her wedding. What should have been the happiest day of her life has instead turned into her greatest embarrassment.

Having been reluctant to schedule events on the farm that might interfere with their business, Emmett made the exception for Ireland's wedding. Drawn to her from their first meeting, he wanted to make her happy by allowing her to have her dream wedding. Now that they're stuck in his house on the farm while the snow falls, he gets a chance to know Ireland and see beyond her appearance and public persona. Left alone for much of her childhood by her parents, Ireland hasn't had the opportunity to experience much. Everything that Emmett shares with her such as snowmobiling, sledding and cutting down a Christmas tree are all new to her. She brings such joy and curiosity to everything that she does that Emmett can't help but be caught up in her excitement. Her open and happy nature brings a warmth to him that he's been missing for a long time.

Emmett also almost married in his past. At the last moment his fiancé left him at the altar. Now, he realizes it was for the best. Then, he was devastated as all of his plans for himself and his almost-wife went up in smoke. Since then, he has kept to himself. An introvert by nature, opening himself up to anyone is very difficult. Ireland's sunny disposition makes it just a little bit easier although Emmett does run a bit hot and cold at times while he struggles to see himself as a more permanent fixture in Ireland's life. Those aspects of Emmett's character were a bit hard to handle or understand at times.

These two damaged souls complete each other in unexpected ways. Ireland brings excitement, joy and warmth to Emmett. Emmett provides steadfast, solid support and introduces Ireland to a simpler lifestyle that she has been craving and the joy of silence at times. They just fit together.

Four stars for this runaway bride romance.

This is an honest, voluntary review of an ARC of the story.

What a GREAT introduction to a new series!! Runaway Love is the first story in the new Monroe Brothers series and is the story of Emmett and Ireland. Ireland is a wedding planner and works with the women in the previous Ever After series. The women would like to add a Christmas Tree Farm as a location for the weddings that they plan and they want to use the Monroe Farm as that location. Emmett is the eldest Monroe son who runs and manages the farm along with several of his brothers and his mother and is completely against holding weddings at his farm. Emmett relents to allow Ireland to hold her own wedding on the farm as a test run even as he is strongly attracted to her. Even though Ireland is engaged, she is equally attracted to Emmett and is confused as to why.

Each of these characters has serious emotional baggage that has affected their outlook on life and relationships. Becoming stranded together forces them to have much time together to face their vulnerabilities and to determine their true desires for the future. The story has a wonderful character arc and growth for the characters that is seamlessly woven into their relationship. Ireland’s sunny optimism is well balanced against Emmett’s grumpiness. The story delves into the character’s backstories to show how their past has shaped them and sharing their pasts with each other helps them truly realize what they are and what they want to be.

The relationship between these two was so heartfelt. I also liked that these two behaved in a mature way. They figured out what they wanted and then had to decide if they were prepared to do the hard work to get it. Emmett seriously wooed Ireland and that was the last thing that I would have expected of him. Every time there was a bump in the road or that he could let Ireland down, he doesn’t. He steps up and is the man that she needs him to be. Ireland does some serious soul searching and understands who Emmett is and what he needs which helps him be able to go after what he wants – which is her! He was such a nice surprise and Ireland is just a true delight.

The whole first part of the story where Emmett and Ireland are stranded together in a snowstorm on the farm is so charming when it could have been awkward. The activities that they did and how they spent their time while snowed in was easy and simple. It was like reading a Hallmark movie – but with exceptional spice! So many times while reading I found myself just smiling thinking what a great story and this is a perfect read for starting the holidays. I read this story in one sitting because I simply felt good and ultimately couldn’t stop! This was a great introduction to a new series and a new family and I absolutely cannot wait to meet more Monroes!

This is a grumpy/sunshine, opposites attract romance. Emmet and Ireland couldn’t be more different, at least on the surface. Her family is wealthy, his is decidedly not. Her family is rather dysfunctional due to her parents’ divorce and many subsequent relationships and marriages, though she is very close to her older brother, Finn. Emmet and his family are close knit and run the family Christmas tree farm together, though they have been struggling financially. Ireland is rather bubbly, very approachable and a people pleaser. Emmet is grumpy and irascible, very much an introvert and would rather avoid people than interact with them, but he does so for the sake of the family and the farm. They shouldn’t be attracted to each other, and their chemistry shouldn’t be hotter than Hades, but it is despite Emmett and Ireland being opposites and her being engaged.

As she works with Emmett to find the perfect place on the farm to hold her wedding, both are aware of their attraction to the other, though they are pretty good at hiding it from each other. There is lots of growling from him as he wonders why he is helping the woman he is so attracted to with her wedding to another guy. She tries to soothe him, get her wishes across and keep her own attraction for him in check. She keeps telling herself she is marrying her fiancé for love, that she is ready for the stability of marriage and a family of her own. Why then, can’t she stop thinking about the growly and oh so sexy Emmett? When they get snowed in together, all bets are off! Resistance is futile!

Their story is a push/pull dynamic with lots of emotional turmoil, a fair bit of spice and steam as well as some necessary self-reflection. Both have decisions to make that could change everything between them. Friends and family, many of them characters from the previous books in this series, weigh in with advice, warnings and offerings of support. Will they choose to fight for their unexpected love and each other? Read this fabulously entertaining and compelling book to find out.

Runaway Love is a heartwarming and enchanting romance that beautifully weaves together the lives of two seemingly opposite characters, Ireland and Emmett, the story unfolds against the backdrop of a charming tree farm, setting the stage for a tale of love, healing, and second chances.

Emmett, a gruff tree farm owner, finds himself reluctantly hosting a winter wedding on the family tree farm, he only agrees because it is for Ireland the woman he cannot get off his mind, little does he know that this event will not only transform the landscape of his farm but also maybe his own life.

Ireland is not only a resilient and a wonderful wedding planner she is also a woman who believes in love, but when heartbreak strikes on Emmett's tree farm on the day of her wedding which also happens to be the venue for her wedding, Emmett comes to Ireland''s rescue. The plot thickens as a snowstorm blankets the area, trapping Ireland and Emmett together.

The chemistry between Ireland and Emmett is spinetingling from the start, creating an atmosphere charged with tension, humour, and undeniable attraction. As the two navigate their shared confinement, readers are taken on a rollercoaster of emotions, witnessing the gradual thawing of Emmett's gruff exterior and the mending of Ireland's broken heart. Lea Coll skillfully explores themes of trust, vulnerability, and the transformative power of love.

The characters are well-developed, each carrying their own baggage and insecurities that add depth to the story. Ireland's resilience and optimism provide a perfect counterbalance to Emmett's stoic demeanour, and their interactions are both heartwarming and passionate.

Ms Coll. once again, paints vivid scenes of the winter wonderland that envelops the tree farm, enhancing the story's atmosphere and drawing readers deeper into the narrative. The storytelling is well-executed, with the snowstorm acting as the perfect backdrop to force Ireland and Emmett to confront their fears and uncertainties.

Runaway Love is a delightful exploration of love's ability to bloom even in the most unexpected circumstances. As the snow melts and the characters face the realities beyond the enchanting snow-covered landscape, readers eagerly anticipate whether Ireland and Emmett's newfound connection can withstand the thaw and blossom into a love that lasts a lifetime. This novel is a perfect choice for anyone seeking a charming romance filled with heart and the promise of a happily-ever-after.

I love opposites attract grumpy-sunshine romances that are centred around Christmas, a tree farm and forced proximity that have fantastic banter and characters that are so easy to love and relate to. At the turn of every page, Ms. Coll gives us emotions, friendship, and feelings being revealed as well as having two people realize that love can be found in the most unique places. Runaway Love is book one in the new series The Monroe Brothers and it is one that was impossible to put down.
Ms. Coll delivers a gripping story that sees a heartbroken bride, Ireland, and a grumpy Christmas tree farm owner, Emmett, have a connection that surprises everyone. A called-off wedding, a freak snowstorm and two people who have a connection that no one could have guessed would have happened. Time together sees Ireland and Emmett sharing their lives, secrets and a list of things that Ireland has always wanted to try. With Ireland having to stay with Emmett and sharing his house, she finds that possibly the man that she was engaged to was not a man that she truly loved but the man that was right in front of her. When their little bubble bursts, because Ireland needs to get back to reality, will their feelings and connection continue?
I loved that Ireland got Emmett to open up and see that love is possible and life has so much more than running a tree farm. Emmett's character development was one that had me swooning over him. The way that he went from a grumpy guy to one that saw the positive in things and was willing to try new things.
I highly recommend picking up Runaway Love and fall in love with Ireland and Emmett's HEA.

Runaway Love is the perfect series starter and what a story it is. And it's the perfect Christmas read when Christmas is just around the corner. I loved Emmett and Ireland's story , in fact I love every single one of Lea Coll's novels . Grumpy Emmett and his family had a Christmas tree farm and Christmas is his business and sunshine Ireland works as a wedding planner and making dreams come true is her business. And the bridal agency she works at want to host weddings at the Christmas tree farm. And her wedding is the first one and it's happening only because Emmett likes her . A lot. He goes out of his grumpy way to help her with the wedding and only to see that she's happy. On the day of the wedding Emmett finds one not so happy Ireland. And what started as a getaway after a wedding disaster ends up in snowed in on Christmas tree farm. Emmett offers Ireland a place to hide and heal herself before facing the world. They share a lot in common even though they are so different. And Ireland can make even the grumpy Emmett to smile and have fun. For a very short time they become very close and begin to have feelings for each other but will those feelings last after the storm and when they get back to their lives . There is some minor drama between them because of poor communication and past bad experiences but all ends well and they have their happily ever after. After the sneak peek I can't wait for Knox's story. And I have to say that those grumpy Monroe brothers have a hearts of gold.
And with The Monroe Brothers Series it's going to be Christmas all year long.

I loved Ireland and Emmett’s story in Runaway Love by Lea Coll, book one in The Monroe Brothers series; a grumpy/sunshine opposites attract and forced proximity story, and the perfect start to this new series.

Ireland and Emmett are opposites. Ireland works for a wedding planning company that's trying to convince Emmett and his family to allow weddings to be held on their Christmas tree farm. He doesn't like people intruding on his farm even though the family needs extra income. He agrees to allow Ireland's wedding as a trial. Learning her fiancé is cheating on her and marrying her for her money, Ireland flees, running through the trees to get to a place that gives her peace, Emmitt's waterfall. Emmett finds her and takes her to his house just as the temps drop and snow begins to fall. The storm is vicious, snowing them in for a couple days; allowing them to get to know each other as they share their past hurts. Emmett is an introvert, who has social problems and prefers solitude; a total cinnamon roll. Ireland, ever the romantic, is a sweet and beautiful person so full of hope; just wanting to be loved.

Ms Coll once again created a delightful story about love's ability to bloom even in the most unexpected circumstances. As the snow melts, Ireland and Emmett are forced to confront their fears and uncertainties and whether or not this connection can withstand the thaw and blossom a lifetime love. I highly recommend Runaway Love to other readers and can’t wait to see which Monroe brother is next.

Christmas Tree Farm setting and a Holiday Romance? What's not to love?

Runaway Love (The Monroe Brothers Book 1) by Lea Coll is a spectacularly sweet and steamy start to this new series. Grumpy Heroes are my favorite and Emmett met all my expectations. Once we get a peek underneath his gruff exterior and attitude, he becomes an absolutely yummy, swoony sweet man with just the right amount of alpha. On fact, he is perfection personified for Ireland. She may be a runaway bride, but Ireland doesn’t run from Emmett, she runs to him without consciously doing so. Emmett doesn’t set out to open his heart, but is powerless not to when Ireland is his perfect match.
I loved this series starter so much. The characters are awesome, Emmett and Ireland are so clearly a perfect pair. The setting is romantic and holiday picture perfect! Add in the emotional connection, all the supporting characters and fun Ireland and Emmett have while snowed in, it’s entertaining and swoony beginning to end!
Overall, I can tell that this is a series that I don’t want to miss. The introduction of the Monroe family, these amazing, entertaining brothers, has captured my heart and my mind. So curious about how each grumpy (in their own way) brother will find their forever love.
I’ve been a fan of this author for years now and she never disappoints. Ireland and Emmett's HEA is truly not an exception to my romance loving heart's expectations. And the end! I am so excited about Book 2! Plus a few other hints that are dropped for all the Monroe Brothers HEAs too.

Runaway Love begins the spinoff series from this author’s Ever After series. This one, the Monroe Brothers series, focuses on a family who owns a Christmas tree farm, and it’s a holiday romance due to the story’s timeframe. If you’re the type of reader who enjoys reading books based on the time of year you’re experiencing, grab this one before the Christmas season ends! It’s a complete stand-alone title, but most of the characters are crossovers from the Ever After series. That said, I felt the author did a great job demonstrating all of the relationships and giving the entire backstory without it being an information dump. You don’t have to read the previous series to enjoy this story thoroughly. However, as a self-proclaimed big fan of this author’s books, I highly recommend reading all of the Ever After series in order.

With definite Runaway Bride vibes, I felt this story was one of her better-written ones, despite the main characters’ struggles with how quickly their relationship develops. I’ve been pulling for Ireland and Emmet for a while, though. She wrote them with nearly palpable chemistry from the first time they met in the previous series, and their journey to HEA was very much worth the wait. As usual, Lea Coll delivered a cast of well-written and well-developed characters, sweet and swoony moments, and sprinkled in a little more spice so that this story did not disappoint.

A great beginning to a new series. My two favorite things; Christmas and romance. The last thing Ireland expected was to fall in love with Emmett after calling off her wedding. But was she really in love with James. She knew deep down something was wrong. But because of her parent’s multiple marriages all she wanted was for someone to love her. It was all about appearances to her parents and growing up. If it wasn’t for her nannies and house staff she and her brother, Finn, would never have known what love was. Getting involved with James, all she saw was the supposed love she was always seeking.
Now here she is snowed in with Emmett and the realization of what she had with James wasn’t love at all. Although Emmett and her are complete opposites she found herself enjoying his company. Between the sheets their chemistry was on fire. But outside the bedroom was just as good. He showed her simple things most people take for granted, decorating a tree, snowmobiling, cutting down a Christmas tree, decorating the house. To her it was all such a special gift. Even coming from money, these “simple” things she never experienced and now they are among her treasured holiday memories.
It just goes to show the simplest things in life are the most precious. It is who we share them with that makes them the most treasured gifts of all.

Amazing heartfelt romance. This is book one of the Monroe Brothers. They own a Christmas Tree Farm and every member of the family, five brothers: Emmett , Sebastian, Knox, Talon and Heath and their mother are involved in running the farm. They each have their own responsibilities according to their strengths and education but none of them have a significant other in their lives. This is Emmett’s story, he’s the oldest and known as the grumpy mountain man. He doesn’t like to be around people nor does he want them on his farm. He’s an introvert with very profound scars where love is concerned. After being left at the alter on his wedding day, he’s became a workaholic and a recluse in his mountain cabin. However, life has other plans for him when he meets his runaway bride Ireland . Lea Coll has a unique way in turning people’s life upside down. Very talented writer that captures your interests from the very beginning with heartfelt emotions, powerful characters and undeniable chemistry that makes this reading a must. It’s not my first reading of this amazing author and I’m always looking forward to reading one of her books and let me tell you, her collection is diversified and addictive. A 5 stars 🌟 and more rating. Can’t wait to read the rest of the Monroe Brothers waiting love ❤️!

I absolutely loved Ireland and Emmitt's story. It was so sweet and heartfelt. Brings out the youthful playfulness of the readers with the snowball fights, sledding and snowmen. This story really reaches the depths of the readers souls. It was well written and pure perfection.

Ireland just wants to be loved. Her brother Finn has found an everlasting love and now it's her turn. Getting married she can't help but feel something is off. She can't quite put her finger on what it is that is making her feel so leery about walking down the isle.

When something terrible happens she runs to a place that gives her peace. Emmitt's waterfall. Now Emmitt must decide if he will run her off or keep her.

This story was heartbreaking in many ways. I feel bad for Ireland because she is such a sweet and beautiful person so full of hope. She is a big fan of happily ever after's and just wants that for herself. Emmitt is a grumpy man, whom has social problems and prefers solitude. He is a big introvert. I love how the author created these two characters and the challenges they face. It is a truly heartfelt, wonderful story. I can't wait to read more about the Monroe Brothers, because I feel as if they will have an amazing story like Emmitt's. Patiently waiting.....

Five Alarm Fire

I am a big fan of Lea Coll. I follow her on Amazon and Goodreads to see what book or series she has coming up with next.

Here is a synopsis of the story:

Emmett and Ireland had a whirlwind relationship; a runaway bride running into the man she should have married in the first place. They knew each other as one busy to another, but the question is "was Emmett Monroe attracted to Ireland before she was ready to walk down the isle to another man?"

Though Emmett wanted to make Ireland happy by allowing her to have her wedding on the farm, he didn't want to continue to let anyone else have their weddings in what he called "his personality space." He liked his privacy.

Ireland, on the other hand, was a different story. "Achieving things isn't always about grades, money earned, promotions, or even accolades for a job well done. It's how you make pepper feel when you're around them...you don't need initials beside your name, a degree, or a job title to make you that way."

My next book is "Reviving Hearts: A Best Friends Small Town Romance (Monroe Brothers Book 3)" because I have read book 2 some time ago.

Enjoy this series everyone and happy reading.

A Grumpy/Sunshine opposites attract and forced proximity story.
Things go sideways for Ireland's wedding and she runs through the trees to get some time to herself. Emmett finds her and takes her to his house because it's getting colder and going to snow. It turns out to be a big snow storm and they are snowed in for a couple days. They get close and begin to have feelings for each other. What will happen when they have to go back to the real world? Will Emmett ever decide to allow weddings on his family tree farm? I really liked this book. It's the beginning of a new series. Even though this one is a crossover from the Ever After series, you don't have to have read that series but you really should since it's so good. I was given an early copy to read and give my honest review. I'm leaving my honest review.

A grumpy man and a woman who believes the best in everyone and loves planning weddings. This time, Ireland Evans is planning her own wedding to be held at the Monroe Christmas Tree Farm. She works for Happily Ever Afters and the owner still hopes to schedule other weddings at the farm. One of the owners, Emmett Monroe, has agreed for this one wedding, for now. Emmett was attracted to Ireland when he met her months ago, but she was already engaged. Ready to head to the altar, Ireland is met with shocking news and flees to the waterfall. Emmett finds her there and offers her his home to give her time to recover. They are compatible in so many ways and he has made it easier for her to accept what happened. Emmett had dealt with a broken engagement and has never let himself believe in forever, until Ireland. When she goes back to her home, will that be the end of them? She loves the farm, but once she gets her life back on track will she still want a life, with him? A beautiful, emotional romance for two souls who just might have found the love that was meant to be. I received an advance review copy at no cost and without obligation for an honest review. Ireland Evans was so looking forward to her wedding on the Monroe Christmas Tree Farm. Except when that doesn’t happen she isn’t sure what she should do ?? So a run to her favorite spot on the farm is what she does and guess who finds her .. the GRUMPY farm owner Emmet Monroe. Except what she finds is a caring, loving individual which is something she didn’t expect.

Emmett Monroe does like a lot of people strolling around the farm .. just stick to the Christmas Trees and he is fine BUT his mother wants to expand the farm a little for some more funding and holding weddings sounds profitable. But we all know Emmett will shoot the idea down until he meet Ireland and he feels a connection with her a first site expect she is engaged to some one else ….

The story behind these two characters will have you cheering for them to get it together because they are so good for each other !! She has wonderful ideas to make the farm profitable and he loves her !! Can she still work for Happily Ever After and still help Emmett with the farm or does she need to work at all ??

So good and can’t wait to read more Monroe Brothers stories !!

Ireland is a wedding planner who works with the characters of another series by the same author (Ever After series). The women want to get another location for weddings and think the Monroe brothers tree farm would be the perfect venue. The oldest brother, Emmet, is reluctant because he likes his peace and quiet, but he agrees to let Ireland hold her wedding there, even though he really likes her and thinks maybe she should be with him instead. Ireland is intrigued by him, too, which makes things a little awkward. They resist, though, because she is engaged, at least until they get snowed in together. Then everything kind of gets thrown out the window.

Both of these characters have been hurt in the past, so it's not surprising that when Ireland thought that she had everything you are "supposed to" have, she went along with it, even though she had reservations. It was nice, though, to see Emmet give Ireland support to deal with everything once they were able to get out from the snow. He was supportive, no matter what decision she made and that is unusual. Both characters learned about themselves and what they really wanted and that's always nice to see.

I couldn’t wait to read this story after reading Mia and Silas’s book!
The chemistry and connection between Ireland and Emmet was obvious from the very beginning. She felt it, and tried to deny it, even when she was engaged to James. James was…since I don’t want to give anything away, I’ll just say he was no where near good enough for Ireland. While my heart ached for Ireland at what he did, I was also relieved that truths were revealed just in time.
Emmet was everything a grumpy lumbersnack should’ve been: sexy, a little jaded, devoted to his family, and a heart of gold! I loved his relationship with his family. He had one moment, just the one, where I didn’t like what he said and did. Thankfully, with the help of Knox, he wised up!
Is it too early to start begging for more of the Monroe men?!? Seriously, I want to know what the deal is with Knox and the single mom at the end of this book! And I’m also curious about Holly and Tallon. More Monroe brothers ASAP, please!!!
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving an honest, unbiased opinion.

A grump with a heart of gold. That's the only way to describe Emmett. Sure he was not pleasant when he first met Ireland and it's explained why in this book and you can't help but feel for him. His attraction towards her is inconvenient since she's about to be married off to someone else. But he saw how much he loved his farm and he wanted her to be happy so despite himself he's going to do what's necessary for her to have her dream day, even if it is with another man.

All Ireland ever wanted was to be loved. But finding out the man you thought who'd spend the rest of your life cheated has her rethink everything about love. When Emmet offers her his cabin to lay low until the dust settles, neither expected to find a Snowed in HEA. Emmet was a little rusty with speaking his feelings but in the end, Ireland got a man who loves her for her and he got someone to share the passion for his farm. All in all it was a perfect (pre)Christmas read.

Emmett’s family owns a Christmas tree farm, looking to stay afloat and find other ways to earn money. Ireland’s boss Gia is very interested in being able to hold weddings there. Emmett is not really interested but agrees to hold Ireland’s wedding there as a test run. When Ireland’s cheating fiance makes her a runaway bride, she ends up riding out a blinding snow storm in Emmett’s cozy cabin. The initial attraction they had for each other only grows the more they spend time together. But both have been hurt before - can they trust this new relationship that is moving so fast?

I loved these two main characters. They are so sweet and steamy and I enjoyed watching their relationship build. I have read most of this author’s books, including the series that ties into this one, and enjoyed them all. This works fine as a stand alone but recommend her other books.

I read an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

Emmett and Ireland are the perfect duo to kick off this series! They bring some bitter experiences and shared painful pasts with them, but also prove that sharing the hurts endured can soothe even the deepest scars that remain. Of course, someone has to work a little more at communication with words, but the actions show from jump exactly how important this all is to them. I won’t say who, but I promise that you’ll forgive the hiccup that almost ruins Christmas. After all, someone comes to their senses fast enough to think out next moves, and the Monroe family definitely doesn’t pull punches when it matters!

As much as I loved my time with Ireland and Emmett, I can’t wait for the next brother to fall. Already. Because it’s bound to be just as emotional and steamy as this couple’s story was!

Ugh so many things about this book are just so good! Lea Coll does an amazing job at starting new series, the first (and last) book of each series always seems to be my favorite and Runaway Love is no different. Ireland and Emmett have a fun, holiday filled emotional romance that would make it fun to read even if it's not the holiday season.

Ireland is left at the alter by her no good ex, and runs away and hides out at Emmetts for a few days. These two finally give into their attraction that has been there since the day they met and realize that they might have stronger feelings than they thought.

However, after coming days after Ireland's almost wedding, neither feel fully comfortable committing to anyone yet which causes some issues especially as they get back to real life.

I can't wait to see what comes next with this series!

Who doesn’t love a good holiday romance? I absolutely love one. Set on a Christmas Farm you will feel all the warm and fuzzies as well as the holiday spirit. Ireland is outgoing and adventurous and Emmett is grumpy and an introvert. Together after a unexpected event they find they are more alike then they think and are so adorable together.

I loved watching these two find what both were missing and connecting not just intimately. The sweet gestures and loving touches are foreplay for the deep and combustible chemistry.

Lea writes stories that warm the heart and make you believe in romance. She weaved a story that kept me entertained till the very end and even made we want so much more. This was a great start to the series and I can’t wait to delve more into the Monroe brothers and their family tree farm.

Runaway Love by Lea Coll is a fun start to her new series. Christmas trees, waterfalls, a nor'eastern rolling in, lots & lots of steamy romance! What more could you want to start a new series?

Ireland realizes just in time that her fiance is the wrong guy for her. She takes solace in a private part of the farm the wedding was to be hosted on and Emmett immediately comes to the rescue. The two are snowed in and let your imagination take you to the delicious fun two adults could have!

The Instalove troupe is not necessarily my favorite one out there. I have a hard buying into the immediate, deeply gratifying love. Emmett definitely has the grumpy mountain man vibe down and he falls hard. The two spend time getting to know each other and exploring that connection. Sweet moments, steamy moments, and a happy ever after. @theoriginialmrsp

This is the first in a new series, and this is Emmett and Ireland’s story. Emmett is the grumpy owner of a Christmas tree farm, while Ireland is a ray of sunshine, and she is a wedding planner who has always dreamt of having a winter wedding at the tree farm, but she never envisaged running from her own wedding. Emmett finds Ireland and offer her his cabin to hide out in until all of the guests have left. These two end up snowed in together at the cabin and cut off from the outside world.
This is a well written story which is an emotional roller coaster, with opposites attract, family, friendships, humor, witty banter, undeniable chemistry, romance, and love, which leads to an entertaining and heartwarming page turner.
I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.

What a wonderfully beautiful holiday romance. Ireland and Emmett's story had so many great aspects. The tree farms aesthetic was one of my favorite parts of the imagery and descriptive parts of the book.
The spirit of the book was also something that really brought the holiday feeling to life as Ireland described things, with a lot of hope.
All the firsts that Emmett made sure Ireland was able to experience while they were together was incredible and he needed those things as much as she did. But I won't spoil them.
I also enjoyed that there was very little drama and although it was kind of insta-love it really worked. I was happy to see return characters as well in the friendships that spilled over from the last series. I can't wait to read the next brothers story.
