The holidays are hot in Lauderdale Knights world. Henrik is a coach for the team, divorced with a difficult ex, and darling twin sons, who live with her in California. An easy to read novella, with plenty of steam, and some lingering questions, that I hope we get answered in the future….
It is holiday time, and the Knights have plenty of parties this time of year, as a coach Henrik attends. Much to his surprise, a “friend” from his past arrives. But his ex, a surprise plus one, tries to douse any chances of reconciliation, or does she?
I liked Henrik and Autumn’s story because she wants communication. When he clams up, she wants him to talk. Henrik is a generous man who truly cares about his boys, and Autumn makes him happy.

Another fantastic Lauderdale Knights romance! It’s a wonderful holiday novella! I loved Henrik and Autumn’s story! Henrik is the assistant coach for the Knights and Autumn is a younger woman visiting her friend. The couple had a previous one night stand. When she shows back up the chemistry is still hot between them. Henrik has two adorable twin sons. Autumn steps up to help him when his ex drops them off unexpectedly. I loved the holiday novella! I’m thinking that we will see more of Henrik and Autumn in the new series LA Phantoms. I look forward to reading more of their story!

Things seemed to go fast for Henrik and Autumn, but not really too. They had the time the spent together and communicated in the past. Henrik just needed to explain why he stopped talking to Autumn, which was valid considering all things. Then they had to decide, do they start again and if so it would be Autumn that changes her life. I thought they talked things through pretty good and the one potential hiccup was explained away by how the info rolled in and the iffy nature. I really hope that things work out for them and all the plans they are making!

5 Star review Holiday Shot (Lauderdale Knights #7) by Kat Mizera
Being back in Fort Lauderdale with the Lauderdale Knights always brings a smile to my face.
Holiday Shots, although a novella certainly had a lot going on. This is Henrik and Autumn’s story and was a wonderful addition to the series.
It was well written with characters whose story you cannot help but become invested in. Henrik is attracted to Autumn but struggles with their age difference. However he doesn’t count on her attraction to him and her determination.
Can Henrik overcome the baggage of his past and in doubt do find lasting love and happiness with Autumn?

I have been loving the Lauderdale Knights series and I devoured this holiday novella in one sitting. “Holiday Shot” is flirty, sweet and steamy novella that was the perfect addition to the series.
Henrik is divorced and one of the coaches for the Knights. He has been co-parenting with his ex-wife who lives in California. At a team event one night, he runs into the one night stand who never left his mind, Autumn. Autumn is in town visiting her friend Sutton and figuring out her next move. Both are captivated with each other from the beginning but with the drama of his ex-wife, Henrik doesn’t want to weigh down Autumn with his issues. But they can’t stay away from each other.
Henrik and Autumn’s story was an almost insta-love and that was just the perfect pace for them. They had a brief history and that connection was ignited when they saw each other again. The chemistry was sizzling and so was the emotional connection. Henrik might have been older than Autumn but Autumn was exactly who he needed. They were supportive of each other and truly had each other’s backs. Henrik’s ex wasn’t the best co-parent and Autumn stepped up to help him when he needed the most. There was a smidge of miscommunication but with good reason. The ending for them was perfect and I can’t wait for the next nook in the series.

This was a really fast paced story. Autumn and Hendrik move really fast. It features a bit of insta love/lust as there are many sex scenes in this book. It's a very HOT holiday romance. I LOVED the addition of the twin boys and wished there were more scenes with them in this story.
There is not a lot of romance in this book but lots of sex. I loved all the holiday parties with the Lauderdale Knights and especially the scenes with Tessa. I also really enjoyed getting to know Hendrik and Autumn.

They could have become an incredible couple but he had a problem with the age difference plus his ex-wife from hell, so he ghosted her.

Henrik and Autumn run into each other at a team event and realize their connection is still there. Autumn confesses her hurt over being ghosted, and Henrik confesses his regrets about ghosting her. Henrik and Autumn fall fast into a relationship with Autumn moving in with Henrik. Will Autumn step up and help Henrik with the twins when his ex drops them off in Boston and leaves the country for an African shoot? How will Autumn react when she learns about a possible head coaching job in California for Henrik? Can Henrik make Autumn's Christmas wish come true? Will Henrik decide to seek full custody of the twins? I absolutely loved Holiday Shot by Kat Mizera! Henrik and Autumn have amazing chemistry. I love how Henrik and Autumn fully support each other. I would highly recommend getting Holiday Shot and the other books in the Lauderdale Knights series by Kat Mizera. I received an ARC copy of this book, and I am voluntarily leaving my honest review.

Autumn and Henrik met up months ago in Chicago, with two hot dates and months of texting and phoning until suddenly Henrick ghosted Autumn. Henrick was worried about their age difference, his pain of an ex, plus the fact he had twin sons and felt it was just too much to saddle Autumn with. Turns out, Autumn was upset he never gave her a chance to decide for herself. When she goes to Florida to visit a friend, they hook up again and this is their second chance to see where things go. Now if only Henrik will learn to share his fears and hopes with Autumn, they might have a chance together.
I enjoy the Lauderdale Knights, and it was fun catching up with some old friends while getting to know some of the new friends better. The wives of the teammates are always supportive of each other, and welcome Autumn with open arms. Autumn Nicholls is 25, cancelled her wedding after her ex cheated on her and had retired from playing pro hockey. She and Henrik had met and hooked up several times earlier in the year but he had quit calling and texting her so she thought he hadn't given her another thought. Now she's back in town seeing her best friend who's boyfriend plays on Henrik's team.
Their chemistry had been instantaneous and explosive before and it's no different now since they have started dating. He has a lot to deal with including his ex-wife, kids and the pressures of his job. Autumn is sixteen years younger , does she want to put up with all of his baggage?

Enjoy the season with Kat Mizera’s HOLIDAY SHOT (Lauderdale Knights novella). In this story, Lauderdale Knights assistant coach Henrick Vanek is divorced and a long-distance dad to twin sons Aiden and Adam. His ex-wife Lydia is a pain and lives to make his life miserable.

A spicy, fast-paced holiday novella in the Lauderdale Knights world. Coach Henrik is definitely a hottie with a lot going on in his personal life. When he runs into Autumn at the Petrov’s Thanksgiving party their connection is still strong, but he has to overcome her hesitancy since he ghosted her after promo sing to call her after returning from Sweden.
I appreciated how the author introduced Henrik’s inner struggle with allowing himself to pursue a relationship with Autumn due to his responsibilities and how he and Autumn communicated about tough and important topics.
The story is well written and includes some favorite characters from the series. Not everything is wrapped up by the end, but given how interconnected Kat’s series are I’m sure more will be learned in upcoming books.

A wonderful Christmas delight
This novella a wonderful addition to the Fort Lauderdale Knights series and I really enjoyed this particular storyline. It had such a relatable theme, mainly starting over again after divorce. It also incorporated the younger women/ older man troupe and liked that those moments were not forced or contrived, they evolved naturally, with thought and purpose.
The relationship was sweet, sexy and above all else - fun! What started spontaneously months earlier between Henrik and Autumn, grew into something more and I liked how Kat wove realism into their story - the challenges that they were facing in their lives - personally and professionally.
Hendrik and Autumn are fantastic together and I loved some of the other characters that make an appearance, especially Toli and Tessa. I also loved how the Phantoms team was brought in. Can’t wait for that series.
It is another great read and will definitely put you in the holiday spirit!

Although the time they spent together was brief he believed that distancing himself was the best choice for her due to the age difference and his tumultuous personal life but when fate brings her back into his life he isn’t so sure.
When Autumn comes to visit a friend, she wasn’t expecting to see Hendrick again. She didn’t know why he didn’t contact her again but as they spend time together not only do the feelings between them resurface stronger than ever, but she understands why he made the choice he did.
The chemistry between them is intense and Autumn shows that she can handle anything that life throws at them and his two sons. It was also great to catch up with the other characters from this series.

I absolutely love this series and this novella was just as great! I love Heinrick and Autumn’s story. There was a past one night stand that starts to develop in to more and I enjoyed watching as it started to blossom! I really do hope we get more of their story in upcoming books! I love my visits to Fort Lauderdale and I was excited for Holiday Shot (Lauderdale Knights #7) because it means catching up with the Knights hockey team. In this novella we get to know Henrik and Autumn and for me it’s the perfect addition to the series.
Henrik is the assistant coach for the Knights and he has plenty of baggage from his past but that’s nothing compared to him trying to get past the age gap between him and Autumn. It was only meant to be one night so when Autumn turns up when visiting her friend he feels he has been given a second chance but will he be prepared to take a leap of faith and take a another chance on love.
I loved everything about this book but what really stole my heart was the love Henrik has for his twin sons so when Autumn steps up to help with the boys my heart just melted. A wonderful holiday novella that was just magical.

Henrik has his hands full being a assistant coach for the Lauderdale Knights then add in trying to see his twin boys that live across the country. His ex wife Lydia was annoying from the very beginning of the story. She was needy and wanted everyone else to do everything for her including making sure she was entertained. I loved that Autumn didn't play the mean girl when she saw Henrik for the first time in a long time. I think seeing him with his son's and meeting his ex wife showed her what he had been dealing with on top of being a assistant coach. It was so great to see her not completely be willing to shut him out when he tried to make things right. Watching each one of them make changes in their life and way of thinking so that they can both have what they want was great.

Fort Lauderdale just keeps getting hotter!
The latest book in the Lauderdale Knights world bring us Henrik’s story. As an assistant coach we have met him in passing but haven’t gotten to know him, until now. This holiday novella gives readers all the sweetness, sexiness and hey we have come to love and expect from Kat Mizera! Henrik and Autumn have an age gap but it becomes less noticeable as their connection deepens and they fall in love. Of course there are obstacles but they are quickly resolved through the love they feel for one another and compromise they can make as mature adults. This couple has some serious passion combined with an intense emotional connection that readers will fall in love with! A perfect holiday read!

Autumn and Henrik met a few months back and had a fling. While Autumn caught major feelings, after some calls and texts, Henrik just stopped communication. Now she is in Lauderdale visiting her friend, Sutton, for Thanksgiving and seeing Henrik again brings all those feelings back.
Henrik knows the biggest mistake he made was letting Autumn go. But with his career, his boys, and the an ex wife who makes his life miserable, he didn't feel Autumn should have to deal with that. With their age difference, Autumn had so much more life to live to catch up to him. But now that she is in Florida, he can't help but want to fix things.
Can Henrik convince Autumn he wants more with her? Will Autumn be able to handle all the curveballs he throws at her?

This holiday novella is sure to please! Kat Mizera is pouring on the feels when she delivers just the holiday delight we needed as part of her Lauderdale Knights hockey series. The characters were quick to steal my heart and though it was novella length, I didn't feel like the story left me feeling like I missed out on their happily ever after even one bit which is always a bit challenging to pull off in this length of book. I highly enjoyed Henrik and Autumn! Great characters, steamy chemistry and a sweet love story!
I highly recommend this book as well as the entire series to hockey romance fans that enjoy a camaraderie between team members who behave like one happy family rooting for each other through life's ups and downs.

This short story was a 5* read right up to the drama with his ex dropping off the kids... Was I supposed to dislike her? I'm sorry what she did was kinda shit but she was not in the wrong. I don't want to give to too much away so read it and let me know if I'm wrong.
Back to Henrik and Autumn: this age gap was a nice quick read about two people who got a second chance to try and see if the connection they felt the first time is still there. The chemistry is still off the chart and I enjoyed my time reading this novella.

Henrik is divorced and a long distance dad of twin boys and has endless drama with his ex-wife. When an opportunity to coach at the Lauderdale Knights, he jumps at the chance. Autumn is in town to visit her best friend for the holidays, and crosses paths with Henrik. These two have met before and after a short fling he ghosted her, and the chemistry between them is undeniable,
This is a well written story which is fast paced, with emotions, family, friendships, humor, witty banter, romance, second chances, and love, which leads to an entertaining and addictive page turner,
I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.

What a marvelous holiday read. It’s short, sweet and easy to read. Kat brings us to the Lauderdale Knights again and this one is so enjoyable to read. Autumn is a retired women’s professional hockey player who has played all her life and now is trying to get a job in her profession that she graduated from college she heads to her best friend Sutton’s for the holidays. She meets up again with Henrik one of the coaches who she had a fling with a while back. He is Swedish, divorced and has seven year old twin boys and ghosted her because he felt he was too old for her and didn’t want to tie her down with his boys.

Holiday Shot is a fantastic read. This novella gives you those holiday feels. Henrik is amazing. He is assistant coach for the Lauderdale Knights and has an ex wife who likes to cause problems. He is an amazing dad and you are going to swoon over him. Autumn is a sweetheart who is still trying to find her footing after the end of her hockey career. The chemistry is fast and hot between Henrik and Autumn. I love them together so much. I love how they help each other out as things start to get real fast. I could not get enough of this one. I cannot wait for more to come in the Lauderdale Knights series. You need to click this now.
