Book 3 and the finale ( I think ) to this electrifying trilogy/series
We are back with Georgie, Dixie-Lee, Rohan and all the other characters grown to love, life has moved on but lies, secrets and jealousies haven’t and soon chaos is reigning down on them
A very emotive and often brutal account of Zoe-Lee’s time in prison features throughout the book with the authors fine tuned realism that sets a tone and descriptive read that you can’t forget
I love this authors books and this like the previous 2 takes you right into this families full on life, and yet there’s always time for a slice of yummy cake no matter what is happening 😎

Kerry Barnes really does grab your attention with her books. This is the 3rd in the series, making it better and better—Gangland crime at its best.
Great storytelling, fabulous chapters, and believable characters. What more can a reader want to keep them gripped?

I loved the 3rd instalment in this series. We thought Georgie has been through the worst she can go through. We were wrong. Kerry Barnes has created a brilliant plot in this book. I was hooked.

Absolutely brilliant as always-Emotive, clever, funny & then some

I’ve had the pleasure of reading every single book by this author and I’ve loved every one. All have a different life/ story to tell but Dixie Lee has encountered far more than anyone should have in her short life thus far.


The characters are very cleverly entwined and I absolutely love the humour running the books despite the sometimes gloomy backstory but this family have nerves of steel/ love & family loyalty in abundance..
Dixie, once again in the firing line by being in wrong place at the time, sends Georgie almost off the rails. The past comes knocking in the form of a familiar face, Georgie will stop at nothing to protect her girl.. even at a cost of what appears to be her own happiness.

Absolutely love love live KB books and looking forward to the next lot!

Brilliant

As much as I adore Kerry, when Dixie Lee was arrested I ffs-ed a bit. I thought oh not again. 🙄😂 I should've known Kerry had another rollercoaster in store for us. As usual it was expertly researched and written, with lots of twists and turns. I didn't see the ending until it happened and I never experience that with any other writer.
Sheer brilliance again.

Another book I couldn't put down by Kerry Barnes. Don't ever get put behind bars for something you didn't do unless you have money and know the judge, jury, and executioner.

Omg !!! Just when you think Dixie Lee & Georgie Deacon have found their Happy place Boom the whole thing takes off how georgie copes with her whole world being in prison you just feel for her. You have to remember this isn’t real but the intensity from the off drags you in and leaves you wanting more I hope we get more from the the Deacon gang
