Sanctification Process: The action of being freed from sin or purified, to be set apart for God’s own use.

Scripture tells us that in the end “Every knee shall bow before the Lord” Romans 14:11. We all have a “God sized hole in our heart”. I often think about my life before I came to that place when the only place to look for help was up. I was so lost and doing so many things that I am ashamed of today. Except that I don’t have to be ashamed because Scripture also tells us that when we ask, God casts our sins as far as the east is from the west, Psalm 103:12.

How to use this Once we are saved, we begin the Sanctification Process, this is the process we go through to grow closer to God. The word Sanctification means to be purified or freed of sin. This is the process by which we absorb the Word of God and learn how to walk closely with Him and trust that He has our best interests in mind. We can make our plans, but God directs our paths. Proverbs 16:9 I want this book to encourage you to read the scriptures and listen to the Holy Spirit and what He wants you to receive in your life. Every time I open the Bible and read a scripture I see or learn something new from the Holy Spirit. I don’t mean I hear voices, it’s just that still small voice that speaks from within that tells me what I need to discern at that moment. I want that for you. I have to admit that I was saved for over 20 years before I actually devoted time to studying and reading the Word of God. The changes in my life since I decided to devote that time to God are too many to write. If you knew me before Christ, you would be shocked at the transformation that God has done in me. My sanctification process is still ongoing, but I am far stronger and walking more closely with my LORD daily. Even after we are saved, we mess up, we take the wrong road, this is not our home, and it is hard to stay on that narrow path towards home. That's why we need the Bible and other believers who will speak truth into our lives and redirect us when we make a wrong turn. With this book I want to point you to scripture, I will write some questions for you to ponder pertaining to that scripture and then when you are done, you can read what the spirit showed me at that time. Then compare the two, did the Spirit speak the same thoughts to you about that scripture or did you get something different? The Bible has lots of scriptures that are written in context to what is going on at that time. Oftentimes we take those scriptures out of that context and try to make them fit into our lives, but we have to be careful when doing that as we may take away something that is not truly from God. I call it twisting God’s Word to suit our cause. If I have done that in any way, please write me a letter and tell me! I never ever want to lead any of God’s children down a wrong path and I have prayed daily over each of these scriptures. I tried hard to listen to the prompting of the Holy Spirit, and I have specifically requested that He use me and my experiences as He saw the need, but this book is not about me, it is solely about God, our LORD Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit. I want to always direct others back to Him. If I write something that you feel is wrong, please let me know and I will evaluate it. I may not agree with you, but disagreeing over context does not make us enemies, it shows us how we can help each other stay accountable and walk down that narrow path together. Have you ever noticed that when you read scripture you get something different each time? My hope is that together we can get what the Lord has for us in each moment from the Holy Spirit. That we can read without being overwhelmed and let those little morsels of truth soak in, giving us the strength to hold on for another day waiting for the Lords coming to take us home.
