I gave this book a 4.5 ⭐ 4/5🌶️ This is the second book in the Seattle Dom series and I absolutely adored Drake and Lily their connection and their dynamic with strong and very fast he definitely falls first I feel and he was very compassionate and very understanding but very possessive in a way. I think with everything she went through she needed someone who could control and who could be dominant because I think she was submissive in her own way just because of her past and all she went through. I was shocked there wasn't a big life-changing like altering thing 60 to 70% through the book but it definitely didn't lack anything and the storyline was on point and it was consistent and it didn't leave anything to be desired it was a very on point with what their story told so I feel like it was really good. I will say that Kate can write a man and make you want to put your standards even higher she definitely has a way of writing men who are very perfect and fairy tale like so that always makes me happy. And I do have a few quotes from this book that will forever be my favorite in this book. I also want to say that Cage as a side character in this book made me so ready for his book and for him because he's going to be super 🥵‼️ It definitely is a must read and I loved and enjoyed it and can't wait for the rest of the series.
Loved it - this one was deep and freeing, especially since where she was coming from, I loved that he wanted to take care of her from the moment they bumped into each other.
This book was so precious, I loved it so much! Lily is an amazing fmc who has overcome a lot. Even with everything she’s been through, she’s so sweet. Drake is a swoon worthy daddy dom. He’s so caring and protective. Kate writes the best doms!
Yet again, Kate did not disappoint! This story was about Drake and Lily. Drake is an identical twin to Easton and together they own and run Edge, a BDSM club in Seattle. They need a new cocktail waitress for their club and their job listing catches the eye of sheltered, shy, sweet Lily. Lily was just let go from her job as a diner waitress and is desperate needing a new job to help her live since she is just months away from leaving her husband and the cult she was raised in. To say Lily is sheltered might be an understatement but her drive and determination to live and be better is so honorable. When she literally falls into Drake at the club, trying to apply for the job, they both cannot seem to shake the attraction and emotions brought forth but can a sheltered girl from a cult actually be enough for a rich, gorgeous, strong Dom who has the world at his feet?
Not very well written. I didn’t believe in their relationship at all.
I did enjoy this book but, and it’s a massive but. It’s not very well written at all about Lily. Lily grows up in a cult and is forced to marry a man at 16, and her ‘husband’ (They were spiritually married, not legally.) raped her, and abused her. I’m not convinced that after being brought up to think sexual pleasure is a sin, that she would jump straight into a bdsm relationship. It’s crazy. Apparently Lily doesn’t need any counselling either as she’s fine. She’s really really not fine, she’s got obvious ptsd and often has flashbacks to when she was married. The other problem I had with this book is the author not explaining things. Lily mentions once that she’s a lot shorter than she should be, no idea how tall she is as it doesn’t say, and it’s hinted that her food was massively controlled so she didn’t get overweight. She also has arthritis and again it’s not explained what type she has, and at the beginning she’s working 8 hour shifts without breaks and not eating, and she only has a small flare up of her arthritis?
Lily meets Drake when she applies for a job at his bdsm club. Drake and his identical twin own the club and they also patented and developed apps. It doesn’t give any details about any of that. When Lily starts working at the club, she has no idea what sort of club it is, and remember she was brought up to believe sexual pleasure is a sin. So when she stands and watches people doing a scene and gets turned on the first night, I didn’t believe it.
Drake and Lily’s relationship develops very quickly and when he was buying her things and showing her kindness for the first time in her life, it made me cringe. She’s thinking she’s in love with him but again I didn’t believe it, as she has so much trauma that she needs to work through it felt a bit cringy.
I did like Drake, but he’s a computer expert and Lily admits she doesn’t know how to do things as she had never seen a computer, and he doesn’t help her? He doesn’t teach her to drive, he doesn’t help her with her phone as she can’t use that either, or teach her how to use a computer. He’s supposed to be madly in love with her but doesn’t help her to grow in an alien world to her. Buying her manicures and pedicures and makeovers is nice but she needs help to learn about things, not manicures.
Then there’s the sex scenes. I did cringe at them knowing her childhood and her ‘marriage,’ it felt really cringy and really really rushed.
As I said I did enjoy it but it’s not up to her usual standard. One more thing, does Drake have parents? There’s no mention of them at all.
Lily was born into a cult and was able to run away. She is very naive about the world and social norms. She is passionate and sweet and obedient. Salacious Desires is the second book in a new series by Becca Jameson and Kate Oliver. The series takes place in a Seattle BDSM Club and each book features a different couple. This book was by Kate Oliver and focused on Drake, one of the owners of the club, and Lily. I must confess I was a bit apprehensive about reading this book. I am a fan of Kate Oliver’s. I have read everything she has written. But she writes about Daddies and littles. How would she do writing a more traditional BDSM relationship? Turns out I had nothing to worry about because she nailed it. Drake is a Caregiver Dom but not a Daddy Dom and Lily is definitely not a little. And I loved this! BDSM couples come in so many different varieties and I loved that Salacious Desires was able to showcase something less traditional. Drake was all Dom but he was about sensation and control. I think it’s so important to showcase that BDSM doesn’t have to include pain and Kate did an amazing job. Of course she wrote characters that I adored and a storyline with enough drama to pull me in. Her writing style just improves with every book. So excited to watch her continue to grow in her writing journey.
Ooh boy. Salacious Desires is part of a new shared series by the amazing Kate Oliver and Becca Jameson. It is book 2 but you do not have to read the first one to enjoy it. However I say read it ar some point as the mmc in both books are twin brothers! Going into it I was sceptical because I have enjoyed Kate's books having the Daddy Dom aspect and wasn't sure if I would enjoy one without it. But I can honestly say that I didn't even feel like the story was lacking because of not having that element. Drake and Lily end up having a beautiful, fulfilling relationship outside of the kinky factor and I absolutely adore seeing that. So many books involving kinky only show that aspect, not the acutal relationship out of the club or scenes. Read it, you won't be disappointed!
Salacious Desires with the second book of the Seattle Doms series of interconnected standalones. This novella was a quick and spicy read that was also emotional. Lily is in search of a job after being let go from her waitressing job. When she an ad for a cocktail waitress at Edge she jumps on it. But growing up in a cult, Lily is not expecting what kind of club Edge is. She is also not expecting the man that she literally bumps into during her interview. Drake is dominant and protective. I love how patient, understanding and caring he is with Lily. I love the side characters and can’t wait for more of this series!
Well, score another hit for Kate Oliver. This is a series she is writing with Becca Jameson and this is Drake and Lily's story. My heart hurt for Lily as she's had so many bad breaks in her life but when she literally falls into Drake, little does she know her life is about to change! I loved the connection and how he took his time with her. Coming from an abusive relationship, he knew he needed to take his time but he also knew that she was his! The banter between him and his brother was great, just like in the first book. Drake was firm but so sweet with her and it made the story just as nice. I'm looking forward to more from Kate in this series!!
After escaping a cult, Lily finds herself navigating the ‘real’ world and needs to find a job. She ends up at Edge, where she meets Drake. He is instantly enamored by her naturally submissive nature and can't stop thinking about her. Protective and caring, Drake is the ideal dom for Lily, helping her adjust to this strange new world. Their relationship plays out beautifully in the book, with spicy scenes that are subtle and realistic, considering her trauma.
Overall, this was a brilliant read and one I’d highly recommend. I can’t wait to see where this series goes!

This is such a sweet, sensual story of discovery and love. Lily has had a hard upbringing and escaping her ex husband and their way of life has been traumatic for her. Drake and his twin brother Easton, though they are IT experts, love the BDSM club they opened called Edge. When Drake literally bumps into Lily, their attraction is almost immediate. I loved the journey these two characters experience as the book evolves. The nice twist at the ending is great too. Another wonderful book by Kate Oliver
The way I devoured this book. I read it in one sitting! Which is not surprising for me because I just can’t get enough of any of Kates books. But this one was just so good. The storyline was absolutely everything. It kept me so invested I couldn’t put it down. Lily was just the sweetest thing ever. And Drake was everything you could ever want in a book boyfriend. 🥵 Seriously a possessive, millionaire, Dom, and BDSM club owner… what more could you want?! Everything about this book was just great! I can’t wait for the rest of the series! 💜
Ahhh!!! Drake and Lily were so freaking adorable together. Their D/s relationship was slow moving, but definitely spicy with how much chemistry they had for each other. I love how much patience Drake had with Lily and how he was always there to support and care for her. Even when he heard about her past he was right there to soothe her and not make her feel bad about not knowing something. And when we finally see them come together and scene the love they gave each other was amazing!!! Cannot wait for more of this series!!!
Salacious Desires is the second book of the Seattle Doms series. While this series can be read as standalone, I would highly recommend to read the previous book as the characters are interconnected.
Lily, a shy, introvert who has been recently separated takes a job as a bartender at Club Edge where she catches the attention of Drake, the co-owner. Drake feels that Lily I the one and starts taking baby steps towards her and makes her feel comfortable in his presence.
I enjoyed reading about their budding relationship, the spice and their lovey dovey moments.
LOVED this book. It is the second book in the series and I was as hooked with it as I was with Becca Jameson's book. Oh you do not need to read it to really enjoy this book. While it was different than what Kate Oliver normally writes it is just as good. Lily needs a job and she happens to show up on Edge's doorstep and runs smack into Drake. To say Drake falls hard and fast is an understatement, however due to Lily's past he needs to move slow. There is a high level of heat mixed with a great story.
What a sweet, dirty and delicious story! Loved Drake from the first time I read about him and needed his story. When he meets Lily, he is instantly enamored with her. She is sweet and innocent and he knows he has found his perfect Submissive and partner. She has come from a very sheltered life but is so curious and when Drake offers to show her his lifestyle, she is all in. These two melted my heart and I loved how patient and kind Drake was with Lily. Their chemistry is sizzling and I didn’t want their story to end!!
I love everything this woman writes. She usually writes age play books, but she went on a tangent and took a stroll into the other side of BD$M. I wouldn’t call this a straight BD$M book, but rather a light introduction into that world. It covers a woman who has escaped a very hellish past and is working on recovering from that and learning the new world around her. The storyline was amazing and it was just the right amount of spice. I loved it and I swear by everything she writes.
Not your usual DDLg book, this one is a BD SM club & no Daddy, we all know and love from Kate Oliver, but I swear she could write just about anything and it would be a masterpiece! Her fantastic writing carries over to the second book in a new shared world by Kate & Becca Jameson (you don’t need to read Becca’s book to jump into this one!). I absolutely love her characters, the story told, and all the spicy fun. These two mesh so well together and their HEA is an adventure to get to.
This was slightly different than her daddy's books, but I knew I was still reading a Kate book, and I devoured this one! The storyline and the character development are just perfect. I'm convinced that Kate is a wizard, a naughty wizard, who uses her magical powers to weave worlds!
I am so ready to see where this series goes and what happens with all the other characters. Especially Cage, I have a feeling he will be my new favorite!
Kate Oliver always gets me hooked from page one of her books, and Salacious Desires held me tight till the last page. Salacious Desires is book 2 of the Edge series, and it just makes your heart fill with love while reading it. I just love Lily and Drake and wish their story was longer. Drake is a disillusioned Dom, and Lily has lived a sheltered life, and when Lily trips into Drake's life, neither will ever be the same.
I loved this so much, it has so many emotions its beautiful. Lily bless her has been through so much in her life and just needs a break when she stumbles on Edge the club and Drake. What a strong woman with such a big heart and so beautiful.
I loved when Drake takes his time with her and shows her what true acceptance means. They were such a perfect match.
I found Kate because of my love for her ddlg books but this whole new series more on the BDSM side I am here for it!! The mmc is more of a pleasure wants to take care of you type of Dom and the fmc is exploring life after leaving being in a forced “abusive” relationship. I love watching them grow together and being able to help each other throughout this shot story.
I loved this book. Lily’s back story is really different and she’s had a very hard life. Drake is perfect for her. This story has spice and sweet all in one. Kate’s writing style never fails and her stories just get better and better.
A wonderful story of how being dominated is so right for certain people. Learning how two brothers (twins) each find their forever submissive have been such a joy to read. I can't wait to read more from Kate Oliver and Becca Jameson.
I loved this book so much! Lily was so sweet and innocent and Drake so hot and swoony! The care and love shown to Lilly was so very sweet. Drake knew how to take care of his girl. Another great book by Kate! Definitely a must read!
Lily and Drake happened, she tripped and he felt the feeling. He told his brother, he thought he lost her, fate brought her back oh what a tale. I love a good love story
