I thoroughly enjoyed this latest Regency Romance set in Cumbria. It was good to catch up with Simon Liddell again. He is taking care of the family estate as his brother Sir Isaac is on honeymoon. Out strolling one afternoon he discovers a young lady in need of help. He carries her back to Hayton Hall to rest and recover from her accident. Neither of them are totally honest with each other which leads to a very complicated situation. I like the fact that it's set in Cumbria, away from the usual Regency settings of London and Bath. It's a clever and interesting plot with more than a hint of danger for Hope. It was much more gritty than most Regency novels which I very much enjoyed. I'm looking forward to reading more from this author.
