There are some books that just make you feel like you’re visiting old friends The Beaumont series is that series for me m.

I loved this novella because in a sense it was a redemption story (we know Liam’s version I like to hear all sides), a coming of age story, and a story that brings everything full circle with hope for the future

I’m 💯 team Nick

If you’ve read any of the Beamount books- first or next generation this one will make your heart happy!!

Nick definitely grew on me through this, he is a great father.
Aubrey’s plot twist on Nick could’ve fucked up even the most sane person, but I guess Nick made his peace with it.
Kinda Sad for Nick that he didn’t really get a happy ending romantically, but then he got one for himself and the children.

I read this as an ARC
I love Nick. He’s just a good guy. He’s never once stopped being Noah’s dad . He didn’t think twice about asking Liam to help with Mack. Nick learnt what Liam felt in Forever My Girl.
. Let’s talk about Audrey. WHAT.A.COW! To cheat first then again! To use Nick like that! And out the kids in second place. Ugh. Heidi wrote her so you don’t feel bad about hating her. I secretly want Nick and Talisa to get together.
You need you read the bonus scene about Mack’s kiss

Loved the author’s writing - always pulls me in, can’t put the book down. loved Nick’s character development … and isn’t he the dream father we all wish for our children? But what did she do to Aubrey’s character? It just didn’t make sense - 20 years and it’s a 180 degree turn! Mothers (esp devoted mothers ) just don’t become selfish overnight. Why oh why! Hence, the 3 stars.

In the vast world of the Beaumont books, I've never made a secret of the fact that, besides Sam, Nick is one of my least favourite characters. It's probably unfair of me but my only defense is I came into this world after I saw Forever My Girl the movie which he wasn't in. I was already deeply invested in Liam and Josie and saw Nick as a wannabe, interloper, and obstacle.
That being said, Everything For Love has Nick growing on me. He's a dedicated husband and father, extra father to Noah, and friend to the main cast of Beaumont characters.
When I read his first installment, My Everything, I thought Aubrey was too good for him. But my how the tides have changed.

Poor Nick. It's history repeating for him. His wife falls back in love with her ex, ironically and unfairly named a version of Liam. He faces the possibility of not only losing his kids but watching someone raise them the way he watched Liam raise Noah when he came back into Josie's life and found out Noah was his son. Which makes it kind of hard to hate him now.

He dealt with it all well, making sure his kids would be looked after, and didn't let Aubrey and her old/new fiancee walk over him.
I think these characters are well into their 40s and possibly 50s by now and Nick's child carer Talisa is in her 40s so is there a chance for a new romantic interest for Nick?
Only time will tell.

I enjoyed how I was able to keep the timeline up by Heidi's referencing things that took place in the last few Beaumont and Beaumont Next Generation books.

The bonus content of Mack's date with Betty Paige was so adorable. I can't wait until we get their book in a few years. As much as I don't believe in asking fathers' permission for anything to do with their teenagers, the way Liam was with Mack when he broached the subject of dating Betty Paige with him while living in Liam's house, further cemented Liam as my number 1 Beaumont book boyfriend.

So, despite my reluctance, Heidi did manage to endear Nick to me.

I received a copy of this via Buoni Amici Press and all opinions are my own.

**********Contains Spoilers**********

I really enjoyed this Beaumont Series: Next Generation novella. I didn’t initially warm up to Nick during Forever My Girl book one in the Beaumont Series but then I read his novella, My Everything. I could understand why he’d be upset that Liam came home but he knew the history between them, and that Liam is Noah’s biological father. He really didn’t deal with the whole situation very well. I never hated him like most everyone else but I definitely warmed up to him when he met Aubrey. Man, this novella shows the lengths that Nick would go to not only try and save his crumbling marriage but the pain and heartbreak he’d endure to make sure that his kids, 16 year old Mack and 10 year old Amelie are safe and happy. My heart absolutely broke for Nick, Mack and Amelie during this novella and I really can’t believe what Aubrey has done, what she’d throw away and what she’s kept hidden for the last 20 years. Considering she knew of Nick’s past and what he’s completely against.

You can feel Nick’s pain of missing out on things with Mack while he’s in Africa making sure that Amelie is safe and settled before going back to Beaumont, that he should be there for and Liam stepping in but it definitely gave him insight into how Liam must’ve felt with Nick raising Noah. Nick’s love for Mack can’t be denied and he shows Mack even through video chat just how much. Nick also shows his love for Amelie throughout this novella. I’m hoping that isn’t the end of Nick’s story, as he deserves so much more than he’s been given for what an amazing man, father to Mack and Amelie and step-father to Noah he is. I also loved that this novella mended the frayed relationship between Nick and Liam after he was there for Mack when Nick was half the world away. I’m looking forward to reading more books from this series and Heidi McLaughlin in the future. I’d definitely recommend this book, series, universe and author to everyone.

Everything for Love is a novella in the Beaumont: Next Generation by Heidi McLaughlin, featuring an emotional rollercoaster ride! Those of you who are fans of the Beaumont series are passionate about Forever My Girl and how you feel about Nick Ashford. Let’s be honest, many fans do NOT like Nick. I was never that hard core on him. He wasn’t my favorite, but he had his role in Liam and Josie’s story. Over time, I liked him more, especially after his novella. But this book? Get your hearts ready for heart-breaking, gritty, raw emotion coming with twists and turns that blew my mind and hurt my heart! I got so angry at times, I struggled to stop myself from throwing my phone!😡😅 I am officially #TeamNickAshford, as he gave his all to fight for his family and put his children first!! So many questions were answered from the last book, but now there’s so much more I hope to see! Nick deserves more, and the future looks promising for Mack and Betty Paige!! So cute!!🥰 You just can’t beat the characters in this world and the way they come together for each other!! I can’t wait for the next installment, whoever its about!! Don’t forget to download the Bonus Scene to tie up this must read with a little sweetness from a couple teens!!😍

I received an advanced review copy for free, and am leaving this review voluntarily.

I found Aubrey to be infuriating in this book. I truly despised her and I hope we get to see her somewhere done the line. I really hope she gets what she deserves.
The fact that Nick says she’s a good mother, she might have been at one point but she no longer is.
She’s using her child and she doesn’t care about their happiness. She’s such a selfish, hateful person. She doesn’t realize how good she has it with Nick. I hope someday she realizes that and I hope that day Nick has moved on and is happy with someone else.
He’s such a wonderful dad. He was a great dad to Noah and he’s amazing with his kids. Nick was never my favorite but he doesn’t deserve what Aubrey does to him.
I enjoyed listening to this book. It’s Nick’s story and it’s told from his point of view. It was a quick book and got to listen to it and finish it quickly. But it was great to see how everyone is doing in Beaumont.
I’m so happy Nick decided to take his daughter back home where she belongs and with who she belongs with. Her mother would put her in harms way and all for what? Because she wanted something from Nick and it felt like she wanted to hurt him. I hope Nick finds his happily ever after at some point. Not someone who will wait so many years to tell him how she truly felt.
This is a must listen to.

I stumbled upon this author back in 2013, just when indie publishing was first taking off. I’m a voracious reader when life gets rough, and Forever My Girl (Beaumont series #1) came along at just the right time. I escaped my reality and fell 100% into the Beaumont drama from page one, devouring it in one sitting. I’ve since re-read the entire series at least twice. Possibly three times. Liam and Josie’s story was a very emotional rollercoaster ride of a second-chance romance, and a considerable part of their story was also Nick’s, as it’s heavily woven in the threads of it. I wasn’t much of a Nick fan at the conclusion of Forever My Girl, but then came My Everything, and Nick wormed his way into my good graces. However, I was never really an Audrey fan but couldn’t quite put my finger on why some of her attitude rubbed me the wrong way. Now, with this part of Nick’s story, I realize why and I kind of hate her even more than I ever disliked Nick. This book is an incredibly emotional read for Beaumont fans, and I loved how the author wove in all of the characters and had Nick’s story come almost full circle. I now find myself hoping for yet another Nick novella where he finds his forever HEA!

Nick Ashford has loved and lost hard in the past, but nothing can compare to what he endures when his wife Aubrey suddenly decides to take away the life he knows and loves! He is left fighting for his kids Mack and Amelie while sadly dealing with a painful case of history repeating itself.
This snippet of the Beaumont saga was important, Nick deserved to be understood. The reason for his lengthy absence from Mack is now clear. This book is an emotional roller coaster that shines light on who he is on the inside and what a devoted father he is.
I can finally see why Josie was with him before Liam returned and why Noah thinks so highly of his step-dad.
Kudos to Heidi McLaughlin, It made me warm up to Nick, as much as I didn't want to!
I loved the references to other continuing Beaumont stories and the visits with some of the old gang!
I am looking forward to the much anticipated, Next Generation Betty Paige and Mack book in the future, with a happy Nick update! I'm cheering him on!

This one went really fast. I knew it was short, but it seemed very short.

It was interesting how it covered things that were brought up in other books, but with this point of view we got to see things from a different point of view and how things ended.

I felt bad for Nick, it seemed like he was blindsided from the start. The wife seemed like such a bitch! She didn't want to try to work things out and later we found out why. I feel like her wanting the kids was just her way of getting money out of Nick. I wished he would have pushed harder when he found out and they were still in the middle of the divorce to leave her with less.

I'm glad that Nick's back home, glad that he is surrounded by his family and will have their support. I'm sure there will be a book with Nick finding love again and wonder if it will be with the caregiver. There seems like there might be spark there, if allowed to grow.

I recently read "Everything for Love" by Heidi McLaughlin and I must say, it was a truly moving and heart-wrenching story that left me in tears. The characters were so well-developed and answered so many questions I've been carrying around about Nick. I've been so invested in his journey from the very beginning.
The way McLaughlin portrays the characters' emotions and struggles is truly remarkable. I found myself completely immersed in the story, feeling every emotion right alongside the characters. It's not often that a book can make me cry, but this one did.
Overall, Everything for Love is a beautifully written and emotionally charged story that will leave you feeling both heartbroken and uplifted. It's a must-read for anyone who believes in the power of love and the strength of a father's love for his children—a must-have for any book lover.
Happy Reading...enjoy!

Everything for Love by H. McLaughlin is a novella in the Beaumont: Next Generation Series.
This is Nick's book.
Nick Ashford, stepdad of Noah, married to Aubrey the love of his life and father of Amelie 10 and Mack 16.
He thought he had everything, but sometimes love isn't enough. His wife wants change, wants to move back to Africa.
And Nick the besotted father follows to settle A and A in, only for a few weeks. But what was planned to be weeks turns into much much longer and much much complicater.
He' s torn between his kids, between his calling as doctor, between his dying marriage.
And in the end he's the scrificial lamb. This book is not a witty and fun read, it deals with heavy stuff, is raw and gritty and left me wishing for a leaving with a lighter note.

Very good read

Heidi McLaughlin is an amazing writer. Her characters are so well thought out that they seem real. She doesn’t overdo it with the graphic sex and foul talk that some authors seem to think are necessary and that really take away from a good story. I have read every book she has written and they are all stellar. This one ties up some loose ends with some characters in her books. I have to say, I wanted to strangle the wife in this one. WHAT A SELFISH WITCH! There is no understanding her treatment of her amazing husband. Now, she needs to find him a love that is as good as he is. I am ready for another book, Ms McLaughlin!

After having loved and lost Nick thought he had created the life he always wanted with his marriage to Aubrey and their son Mack and their daughter Amelie. When everything comes crashing down his choice to be there for his daughter creates a physical distance between him and his son and stepson.

In the past you may not have been sympathetic to what Nick was going through but this story changes all that. It allows us to understand why he made the choices he made and how he only wanted what was best for those he loved even if it did cause turmoil along the way.

Full of emotion reading Nick’s journey was everything I didn’t know I needed.

I have been patiently waiting for more on Nick, and this delivered. I really wanted my anger and frustration with Aubrey to be unjustified, however, she is just awful. I felt myself feeling so broken for Nick, who only wanted to keep his family intact and safe. He is so selfless in his love for his children, and he has to lean heavily on the help of the Westbury family to survive. The repairing of relationships was so healing, and we got an inside look at how incredible Nick is as a husband and father. The little snippets of Mack and Betty Paige were the perfect ending.

It's Nicks turn. With a marriage on the skids and with his children's best interest in mind, Nick uproots himself and allows his son to stay behind with Josie and Liam. While he is trying to win his wife back he finds himself missing out on things he should be there for and stuck in a country he no longer wants to be in. In the end he will understand that marriage is not the be all end all but his children will be a top priority. Loved the trip back to Beaumont.

I love this series and enjoy reading all of the books in this series. I really do not like Aubrey in this book. I was quite surprised by her actions, but amazed at how nick stood up and handled the situation. I am looking forward to getting a story about Mac and hope that in the near future nick will get a second chance at love or at this point if you count, Josie, then a third chance at love.

Heavy on the angst, but none the less very enjoyable, it was nice to get so much of Nick's inner monologue. Sometimes there is no turning things around for a character such as Aubrey, and I really appreciate the honesty this story brought. It's always great to catch up with the Beaumont gang, and I'm more excited than ever for more of the next generation novels.

I am #TeamNickAshford for life. If you have been around for a while and read all the Beaumont books I feel like your feelings on Nick may have varied. But I can honestly say I am all for Nick now. This guy went through the ringer when Liam came back to town. Now years later, he thinks he has the perfect marriage, perfect kids and the perfect job. Until his wife flips the script and says she wants to go back to Africa to do work for Doctors Without Borders.

I don't think I have ever disliked a character more than I do Aubrey. Nick literally does EVERYTHING for his kids and his family and she has zero concern for her children. His absence in other stories now makes sense. He travels across the world to ensure that Amelie gets settled in and has proper care cause Aubrey could care less about her 10 year old daughter. What should have been weeks turns into months and months.

Everything for Love is the book I didn't realize I needed. It is a story about how deep a father's love runs, extended family and how it really does take a village. His love for Amelie is incredible and his love for Mack and Noah is not lessened by distance.

Everything For Love

What an intense story, never thought I’d see this from Aubrey. Nick is the most amazing man who is doing his best to keep his family together, yet you can only do so much. This story will open your eyes to what another person can do to you, and for themselves without thought of those they say they love. Beautiful, heartfelt story.

Nick's story is brutal and made my heart swell. This family will always be close to my heart and seeing Nick go through his hard time just made me want to give him a hug and take him back to Beaumont to make everything better. I hope he will be okay and maybe we'll get another story showing us where Nick lands.

I can't describe how wonderful the characters and world is in Beaumont. Heidi presents such a well developed story that you feel like you're there. It isn't all sunshine all of the time and the life, within this story especially, depicts that. I highly recommend you pick this series up from the beginning.

This story is short, and I really enjoyed getting this book from Nick's POV.
I liked seeing his love for his kids and the devotion he had to his soon to be ex-wife to try and make it work.
I felt bad for him that he spent so much time trying when it was all pointless.
I have always liked Nick in the Beaumont books. He is a great man and an even better father.

Everything for Love was one of those books that grabs you emotionally right from the first chapter. LOVE NICK, and wow, Aubrey is unbelievable. 😱

Readers will most likely be rooting for Nick with each turn of a page- I know I did!! McLaughlin balanced heartache and pain with Nick’s unwavering and admirable hope phenomenally.

How lovely it is to be back with old friends. This novella gives us the answers to why Nick disappeared and his son Mack is living with Liam and Josie and how the tables have turned. This story really made my heart break for Nick, but the love for his children never wavered he did everything to make sure they were happy. I cannot recommend this book enough.
