I am Misty Vixen (not my real name obviously), and I imagine that if you’re reading this, you want to know a bit more about me.
In the beginning (late 2014), I was an erotica author. I wrote about sex, specifically about human men banging hot inhuman women. Monster girls, alien ladies, paranormal babes. It was a lot of fun, but as the years went on, I realized that I was actually striving to be a harem author. This didn’t truly occur to me until late 2019-early 2020. Once the realization fully hit, I began doing research on what it meant to be a harem author. I’m kind of a slow learner, so it’s taken me a bit to figure it all out.
That being said, I’m now a harem author!
Just about everything I write nowadays is harem fiction: one man in loving, romantic, highly sexual relationships with several women. Nowadays, I tend to write more human on human stuff, but I still have a lot of non-human ladies in mind for the future, so if that’s your thing then stick around.
I’d say beyond writing harems, I tend to have themes that I always explore in my fiction, and they encompass things like trust, communication, respect, honesty, dealing with emotional problems in a mature way…basically I like writing about functional and healthy relationships. Not every relationship is perfect, but I don’t really do drama unless the story actually calls for it. In total honesty, I hate drama. I hate people lying to each other and I hate needless rom-com BS plots that could have been solved by two characters having a two minute conversation.
There aren’t very many highs in terms of adventure, making it half a slice-of-life. An adventurer retires and meets a bunch of woman who have been through a terrible situation after living a very straightforward country life.
The part that makes it unrealistic is the fact that everyone is so damn reasonable. It’s the number one thing that’s making me want to keep reading but it’s sadly something that I now realize a great or entertaining story doesn’t need so much of.
But I want it, so I’m on to book two.
That and the way the women interact, especially the first two, is extremely fun and entertaining.
At the end of the day, I want to see where they all go and I want them to succeed. I really liked these characters together.
Lucas leaves home at a early age to make his own way adventuring .
Lucas finds himself lonely an alone as he finally finds out how it feels to be sober from mead after having to do penitents for making a god angry while drunk by stealing from a god . Having to do without companion ship for 9 months .Upon completion of said task he runs into a female goblin named Izzy an acquaintance of another female goblin he's journeying to be be reunited with . He's future wife to be exact . recommend reading excellent series .
Solid, but not exciting or flashy, fantasy harem book. I like the humour and some of the dialogue, but the sex is all very vanilla and a gets bit ridiculous at times. The MC has no standards and is a total slut that will fuck anything with two holes and a heartbeat. It starts to get cringy after a while, almost like he doesn't think about much else.
I don't understand the author's obsession with post-menopausal women in their 60s. It is mentioned by MCs in multiple Misty Vixen books and breaks the 4th wall for me, briefly taking me out of the story.
Lucas runs into Izzy, a goblin girl fighting a zombie. And the story jump starts from there. Typos and dropped words, but not too much more than usual. Hate starting sentences with ellipses and lower case letters, though, so please stop; it's non-standard English. Let the reader fill the gaps. Probably will buy book 2.
I enjoy reading this issue. I like the way the story flowed. I liked the way the main character dealt with the situations that he found himself in. Erotic story was well written. Excellent social interaction and relationship building well portrayed. Misty has a crafted a interesting dynamic in this story and I liked the flow of the action.
Have to say that Misty Vixen really is a great writer. I have to say that I really enjoyed the characters in this book. The MC Lucas is one of the better male characters I've read about in a very long time. All of the female characters were interesting, each having their own distinct personalities. Looking forward to the next book in the series.
I lived this story all the way up to chapter XX, then the whole chapter talked about "smoke weed". Huge turn off for me. So I had to drop it. It's a shame, but I'm not going to read a story that includes things like that. I can't stand the stuff at all, bad experiences with morons that smoke the stuff.
This book is exactly what you expect from this author. Well written and edited. Fun story with even more fun characters. The personalities of the characters are so unique and well thought out. The interactions and conversations are so well done. Looking forward to the next.
The story begins with Lucas saving a goblin girl. That quickly leads to him finding a purpose in his life. It's good adventure with plenty of fun time in between. Great story looking forward to more.
Although, there are countless novels of men raising harems ,or waking from death in a strange world full of pussy, this one touched me in a way that was different I felt like I was there! Looking forward to the second one.
I enjoyed this story immensely, good characters, just enough action and adventure to keep you turning pages, and great goblins Batman! enough hot goblin women and sex to satisfy the most jaded reader.
Again, Misty doesn't disappoint with this new one. Love the storyline, the characters, the action, the fun times. It is again a well-rounded story. Bring on the next one. Let us have more goblin girls.
You're best work since haven IMHO. I loved every moment. I was going to freak out if you started using the dreaded "triggered" word again or one of the other repetitive coming or orgasem words. But this is really great, thank you
A well written story that is endearing and sexy. A better vibe than some earlier works with a definite similar feel but much better with all the technical elements of a well paced and written story. Definitely looking forward to book two.
Really enjoyed this book, the setting and characters were all really well planned out. Liking the progress Lucas, the main character made, can't wait to see what develops.
