This book kept me glued to the pages! I loved the isolated setting and the idea of ants becoming some kind of intelligent monster! It reminded me a little of the movie The Thing. There are lots of scares and action, but the ideas really sold it for me. The author has a lot of interesting ideas about evolution and what another intelligent species might be like. Would be be able to tell they were intelligent? Would they think we were? Very interesting. I also really liked the anti-hero main character. He was cool and had some slick one-liners. Can't wait to see something else from this author.
