A mysterious boy appears in Ellmeyer and claims to be none other than...Claude's son?! Aileen has avoided many death flags and secured a future with her loving husband, but has she also changed the fate of Claude's future child? Add another sacred sword into the mix and it becomes a recipe for a royal disaster!
This volume brings us back to the format of the earlier volumes: one continuous plot rather than a slice-of-life. This volume's story was a little confusing at parts though.
Things I enjoyed: the little glimpses we get into the characters' happy endings and the shenanigans their children get up to, the friendships between characters (particularly Baal and Claude), and Lilia being an all around shit-stirrer.
The one downside to this volume: we don't get much from the characters introduced in the first three volumes. While we do get Lilia, we don't see a lot of Cedric or the members of the Oberon Trading Company this volume nor the demons. We also don't see a lot of Rachel and the former student council members/Duck Squad. We do get a little Serena, but still not a lot and we barely see Elafas. Instead there was more of a focus on Baal, Sahra, and Roxane from volume 4 and Amelia and Grace Dark and Luciel from Volumes 5 and 6.
