What was I thinking?
Oh, right. That it couldn’t get any worse than the first 3 in the series. Boy was I wrong.
Uneven writing, an fmc who has absolutely no backbone when it comes to the idiots she’s saddled with, and shifter “men” (grown boys, more likely) who are hundreds of years old and yet are emotionally stunted and unable to articulate anything important. Everything is guess work and conjecture because no one actually communicates with one another.
This book is just as frustrating as the rest of the series.

I really enjoyed the second half when I got more invested in the story and what was happening. The first half had a bit too much graphic sex for me. Good conclusion to the story for Kat. She learns who she is, the strength she has and what she will do to keep her kids safe.

That's a wrap for Kat. Although the FMC has been through the ringer so have her children. I feel like she got everything but had to sacrifice her child's happiness and future to retain it. Loving mates, dead ex, Luna of the pack. The Kat from the beginning of this series wouldn't have sacrificed Ava's future, heart, and soul for the aforementioned things. What became of the saved children? Where's the Zoe story? Who was the little boy that recognized Benji? Many unresolved questions. How did she just leave those children/teenagers on the other side and not fight to get them back home? I would love a neat tidy bow if this was the last book, considering it time jumped in the epilogue.

RH 4 Alphas/Fated Mates/Wolf Shifters & Witches Mulit PoV
SYNOPSIS (of all 4 Books): The story is set in a world where shifters and witches exist along unknowing side humans. The story opens with the FC, Kat, a middle-aged woman with 2 teenage children coming home to find her husband banging his secretary. As the narrative unfolds the FC is turned into a wolf, finds her fated mates and discovers that the supernatural counsel that governs the supernatural world is corrupt and her blood is needed to open a portal to another dimension. The story covers how the FC and her mates fight against those who are trying to hurt them and the FC and to destroy the world.
HEAT LEVEL 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️/🍆🍆🍆🍆 There‘s no MM just 1 on 1 and group sex. Its upfront and detailed and this is one of those stories where the heat and spice often outweigh the story.
In summary, the story is unoriginal, the writing is poor and the FC is too stupid and spineless to live 🤦♀️ I‘m not sure how I (or why) made it through the series as I was skimming chunks by the last book. I think it was one of those situations where it was so bad I thought it had to improve (I mean, surely all those positive reviews couldn‘t have been so wrong - spoiler - they were!) and it was like a watching a car crash, you know it is awful and not going to end well but you just can‘t tear your eyes away. 😳 So, to anyone who is thinking of giving this series a go, be warned, what you read in the first 30% does not get any better. The FC does not get any stronger or more intelligent and the villains do not get any real justice.
By way of example, the FC arrives home, hears her husband clearly having sex with someone in their bedroom and so goes to look (fine so far). When she sees her husband pumping away she doesn‘t pull out her phone to take picture for evidence (OK, so let‘s go with her being in shock, fair enough), she doesn‘t shout or yell, she let‘s the couple finish. She then stands while her husband, completely unapologetic puts some clothes on, as does the other woman (the FC says nothing), allows the couple to leave the bedroom and the MC and his secretary say goodbye to each other (while still saying nothing), allows the secretary to sneer at her as she leaves the house and then continues to stand there while her husband tells her that he is divorcing her and she has until the end of the week to get out of the house and that she won‘t be getting any of his money and, also, he doesn‘t want the children. Seriously? OK, let‘s say she is still in shock. After the husband leaves (taking her car keys with him) does she change the locks, call a lawyer? No, she worries about how she is going to get out of the house by the end of the week and where she is going to stay. The result is that she ends up running to meet her friend and gets bitten by a wolf shifter. OK, we could still keep with her being in shock but as time passes and the husband is a dick does she fight back? No! Does she say anything derogatory about him? No. She just keeps wondering what SHE did wrong and how she can make him forgive her and take her back 🤮 There‘s even another scene where the other woman phones up the FC and tells her she wants the rings her husband gave her - yes, her wedding and engagement rings. Now, most people would not take the call or, if they did, they would say no after possibly saying a few other choice words. What does our FC say? She is polite and says „yes, of course you can have the rings“. I mean WTF? Is this author even a woman? You don‘t even have to be a feminist to see how wrong this reaction is. THEN the FC does not simply tell the other woman to come and get the rings, no, she tell her she will meet her and give them to her 🤦♀️
I would suggest you not waste your time with this series, sorry 🙁

What a disappointment considering the previous books.
Long review w/spoilers.
How do you write a book centered around an older MFC (which was nice) with teenagers, but it doesn’t seem like there’s a real connection, at all, between the mom and kids?
SPOILERS: the kids get kidnapped, one starts looking really sick and has a huge change and it just seems like those events were so downplayed you have to wonder if mom even likes her kids. How is your daughter so sickly you don’t even recommend a Dr and say well, it’s just stress with me being a wolf now and ignore all the signs? When you and your kids are kidnapped by a deranged person, all you do is hug them and leave them alone immediately after you all are rescued like they just came home from a friend’s sleepover? The son also feels like an afterthought.
So many gaping plot holes and unanswered questions. Ending feels as rushed and disappointing as Game of Thrones. So anticlimactic.
What happened to the kids they rescued?
What happened to Benjis sister?
What happened to Silas?
What happened to the other Lycans that escaped?
What happened to the other things that escaped the portal?
What happened to Ava’s mates that got stuck in the portal?
What was going on with her tattoo after she tried to scrape it off her face? Was it the source of her power and if so, what exactly was it stopping because the only real change was that her eyes stayed purple? She was already able to command people even if she didn’t realize it at the time so it wasn’t that.
What happened to the Kiss of Death and why was it so easily taken and disappeared if it only works for one person and is so super rare and powerful?
What happened to the twins who gave her the KoD in the beginning? Who were they?
The first 2 books really played up her powers, but frankly, other than doing what vampires can do with mind control, she doesn’t really have any power. The guys finally get their power back, but it’s only used a couple times and the first books talk about how they will be super powerful when mated, but there was no real super power. Why didn’t they use their powers on the Lycans instead of fighting and getting so battered and beat up?
It just felt rushed, thrown together and didn’t flow cohesively. The sex scenes felt forced and sometimes in odd ways like driving to the tattoo shop and all of a sudden (out of the blue/left field) she says cars make her horny and she just starts playing with herself right there?
I had to force myself to finish this book and skipped almost all of the sex scenes and I very much like my smut scenes.
Based on this series, I don’t see me interested in Ava’s story. Poor Ezra. He was supposed to be a shifter, but 2 years later and he’s not really mentioned, but the new son sure is!

It's like watching a puppy getting snatched by a hawk and then the hawk drops the puppy on a person and then the person-puppy-combo falls in front of a car and the car then explodes (for no apparent reason) whilst crossing some train tracks. Then the train crashes into the explosion and explodes up in the air, where the hawk from earlier flies into the motor on a commercial aircraft,which then crashes. You can't look away in horror and it just keeps getting ridiculously worse.
The book as badly written, it's inconsistent and the author can't seem to stick with things.
The fmc is 32 but acts like a juvenile 14 year old with 3 braincells, one is in a wheelchair and the other pushes it around in circles. The 3rd can only think about cock.
I'm so glad I found this trilogy for free - charging money for it should be considered a federal crime.

I love this book!
I loved the characters even the new ones in this and Kats relationships with her mates and how everything turned out throughout this book. I loved how strong she is to protect her kids. I loved the steamy bits, spice is life and no one can tell me any different lol. This book was worth the wait because it's so good and it made me laugh and cry. The ending epilogue to this book was heart warming and so heart melting. It was perfection. I hope there's a spin-off(s) for Ezra and Ava because I'd 100% be behind it and support it. I don't want to say goodbye to this world yet so I'm going to hold out some hope this isn't a goodbye but a see you later type moment.

Violet Voyagers
Angelica Aquiles’ fourth and final book in her Iron Beast Pack series has a bittersweet ending. Hopefully, (fingers crossed), the author will start a new series with some of the secondary characters. This series was awesome and I hate to see it end but as Kat, the main female character, said “Why can’t we seem to catch a break?” It did seem like before they could find any peace, trouble was right there knocking at their door. So after everything she’s been through, Kat certainly deserves some calm down time. This book was full of non-stop exciting adventure, mystery, suspense, steamy scenes and unexpected twists and turns. I absolutely love this author’s work and can’t wait to see what she has planned next. Highly recommended and definitely a MUST read!

Loved this, until.......
This was a great trilogy. Lots of backstory, characters, challenges and twists I was surprised by. But the ending left out that happy ending that left a bitter taste afterward. It doesn't leave any way to wrap it up on a positive note or explain where all the kids went that were rescued. To leave her daughter's tragedy unresolved just ruined it for me. Call me old fashioned but there so many ways to tie it up neatly and it was just disappointing, jumping to two years later and the boys still gone.
If that kind of thing doesn't bother you, then it was a great story. Just not for me., I wanted the HEA. And then a new set of challenges for the chatacters. 😒

I knew it couldn’t end there, so looks like it’s gonna be Ava’s story and she will be the one to end it.
I was shocked to find that in many ways this ended up being a lot like other shifter reads with a prophecy and needing a sacrifice etc but I can’t knock it one but, not only did it have one of the best plots, fantastic twist and surprise. It also had his own uniqueness. Leaving the ending not really an ending.
Absolutely incredible series, binge worthy, addictive and entertaining all the way through. First time I’ve read anything from Angelica Aquiles and I can’t wait to read more of her spectacular work.

Why end trilogy like a cliff hanger

Spoilers in review:
The three books that tell the trilogy are pretty good stories. Book 3 goes back in time and should have been listed as a prequel. The ending is just mean. I assume it is a lead in to some future storyline not yet written. It leaves an uncomfortable feeling. The editing was fair, but there remain numerous errors, especially in punctuation. Quotes are misplaced or not used, italics inconsistent and commas are incorrect.

I wish this was better written
The story was there. The characters were there. But it’s like no one edited the book for the author? I felt like I was reading a high schoolers attempt at a novel. The ending was totally rushed as well, and it is not a HEA. without spoilers, a main character is left in a sad situation and the author left no in for a second series following the return of other side characters (which would be main characters). Overall, just time wasted, but I was intrigued enough by the storyline to see where it went.

What a satifsying end to the series!!! Kat and her mates race to uncover the mastermind orchestrating the sequence of events that have unfolded since Kat has come into thier lives. They must also navigate the strengthening of their bond (hello steaminess ahead!), confront a malevolent ex-husband, and assist Ava through her transition into a shifter. I hope that the story is not over for Ava and her mates! I am ready for the next trilogy!!!

Good Book
Chosen Wolf concludes Kats story and sees her dealing with her children being kidnapped and dealing with her ex-husband. I really loved this book, it was a bittersweet conclusion to the story and had me gripped from the start. I loved the characters and although this tied up Kat’s story there were a few loose ends which I hope the author will write about at some point in the future. Overall, a fantastic finish to the series and I really enjoyed reading it.

I really liked the series but I felt let down with this last book. It's not because of the ending. I feel like this wasn't put together as well. It felt discombobulated to me, almost like a bunch of pieces of together but it didn't flow well. I do hope there's a spinoff that will feature Ava. There were many questions left unanswered and hopefully they would be answered with a spinoff. I'm not sure.

A great series
I gave all three books a five star, but I truly hope that this isn't the end. Ava has to have her own series, it at least one book to finish her story bc it can't end like that. The reason we all love to read or watch movies and tv is bc we all need a break from harsh realities. In the real world not all people get a happy ending. So we look to fiction. So please one more book.

Astonishing. This was an unexpected ending for this series.
Kat finally confronts her heritage and her enemy. Learning about a new kind of supernatural that is believed to be extinct.

I really enjoyed this book and discovered fromm the very beginning that I was hooked and could not put it down till the last page was read. It moves along at a pace that makes for an easy and enjoyable read. The characters are amazing and no matter what happens you cannot help but love them. This book is a must read that needs to be at the top of your TBR list, there is no doubt about it.

The action and adventure for Kat and her men has been non stop throughout the series and this book is no different. While Kat and her mate can't catch a break, this was a great ending to their story. I love Kat's protectiveness and strength. I enjoyed the heartwarming additions to this book. I really hope to see these characters again even in a spin-off with the next generation.

So this series started off soooo strong and instead of progressively getting better I felt like it progressively got worse.
The ending was sooo rush. Editing is much needed. So much is left unresolved. I guess it leaves the door open for a spin off but there still could have been some type of closure.

I gave it 1 star cuz while it was a good series..the fact that Ava’s mates got trapped and they couldn’t come up with some way to get them back. I’m sorry but that’s a shitty ending. I usually love to reread books but I can guarantee you I will not be rereading this. Might even be the first series I delete from my kindle.

I've read all four books and loved each one . I would love to read more to this series and see where it goes from here and hoping the boys somehow manage to get back . Kat and her mates are awesome but I still want to read more about them including Ava .
I've read all four books and loved each one . I would love to read more to this series and see where it goes from here and hoping the boys somehow manage to get back . Kat and her mates are awesome but I still want to read more about them including Ava .

Just fantastic
I was really loving this series. Then I got to book 3. What a brilliant idea! Instead of interspersed story lines that you may or may not be able to follow, this author took 1 book and aired out everything you needed to know about the 4 MMCs. Brilliant! Although the ending broke my heart, this whole series was fantastic.

Do not name your main characters similar names if you can't differentiate between the two!! The amount of time Az and Ash are confused by the author in the first few chapters alone is annoying. I kept going back to re-read and make sure I wasn't mistaken.

So I loved this series except for the ending.
The ending was 2 years later and available still didn't have her guys back. I get she's supposed to have her own story but it's a year since this book came out and ava still doesn't have a story with that ended we should've had avas story coming soon. It was good other than that.

I love a good wolf shifter paranormal book. This one has your dark, emotional roller coaster, some BDSM, cinnamon roll, and touch her and die vibes. Lots of spicy scenes also. This book had me wanting to keep reading. It left me hanging with a few question but it will be having a series for her daughter coming out. Hopefully they get answered then with her story.

Happy Endings Require Sacrifice
Oh! I was hoping the series wasn’t linked, as in depending on each other for the entire story line. Yet I was not disappointed because the series is COMPLETE!! Ok, I was heartbroken that the sacrifice came at Ava’s expense. Dang, I can’t get over that. But it’s good!!!!! Thanks Angelica!

I cannot believe that ending that was not what I was expecting. Overall this was a really good series that I really enjoyed. This is my first from this author and I’ll have to be on the lookout for more of her books!

July 19, 2024It would have been better to add another book to this than to leave the story feeling rushed and half way done. Not to mention the ending of the book mixing up Lycans with werewolves. It almost felt like multiple people wrote this and nobody knew what story the other person was trying to tell.
