Falling for him was my biggest mistake . . .

Marrying Kolton Rivers was supposed to be a business arrangement, nothing more. But the lines of our deal quickly blur, and I fall hard.

Problem is, he won’t let himself fall in love with me. Even worse, he might be my soulmate.

When I leave to nurse my broken heart, the last thing on my mind is the Blackstone Coven. Unfortunately, they choose that moment to kidnap me. Their goal? To exorcise my wolf from my body.

As the witches try their best to break me, I know one thing for certain. I can’t expect Kolton to save me this time. The only one I can rely on is myself.

MIDNIGHT CLAIM is book two in the steamy Wolves of Midnight series, a paranormal werewolf romance. For fans of enemies-to-lovers, arranged marriage, fated mates, feisty heroines and morally gray men.

*Wolves of Midnight is part of the A Touch of Vampire world, but it’s not necessary to read the A Touch of Vampire series first.

*This book is part of a series and ends in a cliffhanger. Best suited for ages 17+

Still only ok on the world-building front. I would expect more pack support being that Kolton is supposedly a badass and the alpha of such a large pack. And I don’t understand why these witches are such a challenge. I also don’t understand why the claiming was delayed past book one, let alone the majority of this book as well. Very YA. But whatever. Into it enough to finish it.

Spice: 4 peppers

You gotta love a man with the sweetest nicknames.

Midnight Claim was every bit as good as the first book, if not more because THE FEELS! This book managed to be full of action, spicy and emotional. When I tell you that Kolton Rivers delivers all of the ovary-melting quotes and moves (and knots)…There’s a reason he’s my favorite alpha!

There were some surprising twists in this one, expanding the lore so much more than what I had previously anticipated, even if I consider the A Touch of Vampire series that is set in the same world. We have angels now, and demons! How do they tie with the Midnight Pack? My lips are sealed. But the most surprising twist was the villainous twist of a certain someone that I thought would be an ally. I felt so betrayed, but from a storytelling perspective it was really good!

Very excited for book 3! That ending had me screaming, though I admit there were a few select moments Kolton’s reactions had me suspecting what was up. Ahhh I need!

Thank you as always to the author for gifting me an e-ARC! Opinions are my own.

Ultimately, this book fell a bit flat for me. It took forever for them to consummate, which would have solved all their problems with the pack. Arrow was unnecessary in so many ways. We had enough conflict with the coven.

Without Arrow, this book would have been better.

And even the pregnancy wasn't surprising. As soon as I read her buying a ton of blankets I got suspicious. Then she builds a nest!!! What?! Too predictable.

I think I'm out which makes me sad. But overall the vampire series was better.

Hi it’s Liz/Elizabeth one of the Nora Finch Cosplayers and one of her Number 1 Fans fr fr !!

Let me just say I loved this book so freaking much it’s so amazing and the writing was incredible to me !! Kolton is living with the consequences of his decisions but then he grows and changes Alot I’m so proud of my husband 😭🫶🏻♥️!

Nora is being tortured but is staying as strong as she can in my opinion! She’s one of the strongest female characters!! Also Kolton Saving her was chef and then the truth gets revealed to both of them ! Also there’s spice and drama included in this book !!

I feel they both grew a lot in this book ! Nora was my favorite obviously ! Nora has never felt or been enough !! She’s always tried to prove herself to be more and she’s always just felt she’s never proved it because no one believes in her and she has always felt like she was a disappointment and just in everyone’s way but not to her roommate. Which I love their friendship and I’m glad it got explored more !!

Kolton is just my favorite he’s so GAHH the way him and Nora interact and his wolf just WINNING her wolf over was magnificent and just beautiful!! Kolton loves Nora idc what anyone says they are infinity to me !!

Also Arrow we no like him well atleast I don’t lmao ! He needs punched in the face hard by me lmao

Nora is just so badass especially when she finally comes out of her shell like the badass alpha female she is and wins over just about everybody with her charming personality!! She’s one of my favorite book characters I have found recently!! And I hold her so close to my heart because a lot of the things she went through I’ve gone through

Becky is just incredible she’s one of the best authors I’ve ever met she’s so kind and sweet and she cares so much about her readers and I just feel she deserves more hype !! She’s so understanding with her reads and cares about everyone !! She’s always supported my cosplays with her characters ! Nora!! McKenna!! Lune!! And I’m positive when she creates more characters she will support me if I cosplay them !

Y’all should def read all of her books they’re amazing and she def deserves more hype !!

This is my favorite series of hers !!

So I 100% recommend ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Hello Angels,

When I tell you freaking adore this series with my whole heart I mean it!!! I did love book one and I’m truly grateful to be one of Becky’s ARC Readers but this book definitely stepped up. I loved the dynamic between Nora and Kolton. And I loved that we got more of a look into the Witch Coven. We got more of Brielle, Violet, Griff and Jagger.
Also shipping Griff and Violet a lotttt.

Also when I tell you this book was a spicy but emotional rollercoaster I’m not joking. I also love Nora’s character growth in this book. Like she’s become a lot stronger than she was and I see so much of myself in her. How she stood up to Alpha Hendrix and got herself initiated into the Midnight Pack (with the help of Shadow.)

The whole storyline about the mating bond and how they are soulmates and how we dig deeper into it was so amazing.

I freaking love Kolton he’s definitely a book husband of mine I might get two special things for him 😉 I love how he calls her “Sweet Flower” “Sweetness” and “Wife.”

I also love how possessive Nora and Kolton are of each other especially when Nora punches Jasmine (Who we don’t like at all. Like she needs to stay far far away from Kolton.) or every time Arrow made a pass at Nora Kolton wanted to rip his head off.
(Still very questionable on Arrow I don’t think I like him.)

I also love that we finally get some Storm and Shadow POVs.

Also that ending we were left on made me want more.

So if you Angels do get a chance to read this book I highly suggest you do so.

"She had no idea. No idea how deeply I desired her"

I was honoured to receive an arc for this book! And honestly becky has really come far in her writing! I absolutely adore Midnight Vow but Midnight claim has my heart.

Recently things have happened to me which draws me closer to Nora than I have ever felt, I love Nora so much and honestly she is one of my comfort book characters.

Nora and Kolton are my favourites and I love how Possessive they both get with one another and Kolton calling Nora "Sweetness, Wife, Sweet flower" kolton has me in a choke hold. Kolton is one of my book boyfriends and I love him 💕 💗

Can I say that ending?? SHE IS WHAT??? Becky you need to stop with these cliffhangers I need book 3 as soon as possible.

I love how we got my history on Storm and where she came from and how we finally met Brielle Lacrox! Vi is becoming another one of my favourites and Vi and Griff!! I'm starting to ship them both 💗💕

I am telling you guys this is one of the best books I have read and you need to this book! And I'm now hear waiting for Book 3!

I was blessed to receive this ARC from the author.

Wow what a ride this second book has been.

Continuing Nora and Kolton’s story has been incredible.
I loved how every emotions these characters hold, are so fitting to their past trauma’s and experience.

I adore how Kolton calls Nora his wife and has the utmost respect and pride for her as well as knowing she can hold her own.
Doesn’t stop the protectiveness, but we all need an alpha that would run to the ends of the Earth for us!!

I cannot wait to find out what happens next in this exciting world!! I feel so apart of it in every single way.

Becky’s writing has grown so much since her earlier works and it is so great to grow with her.
Seeing how well Becky describes things allows for an easier immersion into this world!!

Wow. I absolutely loved this book just as much as the first one. I was drawn into the story right from the beginning, and did not want to put it down.

This book had everything to keep me on the edge of my seat and turning the pages. I’m talking, kidnapping, crazy-a** witches, pack drama, surprising twists with a betrayal or two, and Nora and Kolton’s evolving relationship that neither one can deny. Seriously, they are so perfect together, and I love how protective and sweet Kolton is to her. And I love how strong and confident she is becoming.

I don’t want to give too much away, but I will say this book is a definite must read, especially if you loved the first book in the series. I can’t wait to find out what happens next in book three!

I am absolutely loving this series!

Midnight Claim picks up right where Midnight Vow left off and I was sucked right back into the story and completely hooked the whole way through!

There are so many different things happening throughout this story; with the witches, the mating, the familiars, Nora’s old pack, her best friend Brie, and so much more - there’s really never a dull moment! I LOVED learning more about Nora’s familiar, Storm, and Kolton’s familiar, Shadow! And I may be in the minority on this one, but I also really enjoyed Arrow’s character and the dynamic he brought to the story! I definitely didn’t expect that ending though! 😱

I’m already so excited for Midnight Queen to release next year! I can’t wait to find out what’s going to happen next!

As a loyal reader of werewolf books, this was really tangled.
The fact that werewolves are familiars and can use magic, and that there are also angels and demons, was just too much for me. And the fact that it took Colton two whole books to claim Nora was really frustrating

I was able to beta read this book, and I loved every second of it! Midnight Claim is a great continuation of Nora, Kolton, and the crew's story with a few new characters, new enemies, and new twists to make you irrationally angry. As always, I love everything by Becky. She is fantastic with creating fun, lovable, compelling characters who you want to root for and who you want to live happily ever after. This one had some hard scenes to witness as well as some really nice spice.

Becky did a great job of giving us even more to the universe of this series! We get angels and demons and witches along with the werewolves, though you will have to read to discover how they are all tied together! This book starts off with Nora being held captive and gaining an unlikely ally. This whole portion of the book was so well done to show her character development and the strength of who she is. I really enjoyed the will he/won't he of our new friend, Arrow, and I kept waffling back and forth between he is a good guy held captive and he is a plant who is there to betray her. Maybe he is only used as a plot device while she is held captive... Maybe he comes back into the story in an unexpected way... Who knows?!

My girl Brielle shows up in this one!!! I told Becky when I started reading that if she didn't show up I might riot 😂 But I'm so excited for her! She better get her own love interest... and I had theories that went a couple of different ways at the beginning of the book, but I wouldn't be disappointed as long as it goes one of those two ways. My mind drifted toward the much more prevalent theory once she actually showed up. I'm extremely excited to see what happens with her!

Kolton is just EVERYTHING! THIS MANS! He is kind and caring and hot and has such a mouth on him! 🥵🫠 Nora is just perfection! She is smart and strong and open-minded. Seeing these two grow tonunderstand eachother and care even more for each other in this book, and I can't wait to see what Becky brings us next for these two!

There are some twists that you don't see coming in this book, and some that you do. I loved every minute of it!

Sorry - was not a fan. I really wanted to like this - the plot and storyline were interesting and had potential but there were so many plot holes and just weird confusing parts I didn’t understand.
Some spoilers below from first and second book so beware.

My biggest issue with this book (and the first) honestly is the cringey other woman drama. I mean it’s romance so it’s tough for writers to not include it - I get it, and usually it’s not a huge deal to me but when the ow is literally touching the hero and telling him how much better she can take care of him sexually and knows what he likes in front of his wife - and he doesn’t even say anything to stop her? That to me made me not really like Kolton. He is a strong possessive alpha, that freaks out when any male gets near his wife, but lets a woman he has slept with say shit and touch him while he is naked around his wife. Hypocritical in my opinion. He does actually stop her before she touches his junk but not soon enough to me, and Nora is the one who ends up punching Jasmine instead of Kolton ever saying anything. That just wasn’t hero worthy to me. Also - how was Kolton helping Jasmine with her heats without getting her pregnant but then can’t have sex with the heroine during her heat because he doesn’t want to get her pregnant? Did I miss something? I don’t think I ever saw anything mentioned about birth control. He literally tells her as an alpha he can’t hold back from knotting when a female is in heat so he won’t have penetrative sex with her but obviously did with Jasmine? Just too many inconstancies the author could have easily addressed but never did.

Ultimately, this book wasn’t as good as the first one… I didn’t enjoy the beginning torture scenes but honestly they were the best part of the book?

Spoilers follow!!

As soon as we get to Arrow thinking he owned Nora because of their celestials… blegh. I hated everything about the weird “love triangle” she tried to create. I also didn’t much care for the concept of them having angels / demons inside them - that their wolves are spirits of actual angels/demons… it just went a bit far for me.

And what I really disliked was that it took SO long for Nora and Kolton to consummate their marriage. 75% of this book!!! And when it finally happened, it was anti-climactic. And then there was so much sex afterward, it detracted from the story itself and then I was so bored and annoyed when the actual “fight” was barely there. 🙄

So I think I’m done with this series. I just got so frustrated in this book and I barely cared about anyone. Because so much of the book was just a string of them talking to one another and thinking SO much. Pages and pages of “oh no this is my fault - let me think about all these things.” I was very tired when I reached the end.

(Spoilers) “Kolton was an alpha, and I doubted he would take criticism from a human girl”. - Nora’s anxiety when Brielle, her college friend, is coming over to meet Kolton and his fam. Like what? Nora is actually scared that Kolton will harm Brielle. Like seriously? He’s proven to be nothing but patient and understanding over an over again, and you know you are soulbonded and are falling for him, so why? Why would you actually think this? Like it’s fine to have an anxious worry, but why is she still doubting his character 40% in the second book? So much lame flip flopping to create this “will they won’t they” and Euh. This made me roll my eyes when I read this part.

I read about 40% and then just couldn’t take it, I skim read the rest, and I really don’t feel like I missed anything. I got to see the action parts, which were just okay, and skip all the filler. The character development was lacking.

Idk the story is weird in the sense that the exciting parts seem too quick and far between, with the parts between being really boring. There just really wasn’t much depth to each storyline she was bringing in. Like the ideas were so cool - storm/seraphina, Nora’s familiar, being a fallen angel who was bonded to arrow’s familiar, zephyr (or something) was cool! That created tension between Nora and arrow and Kolton, but it wasn’t explored enough, at all. And at the end, seraphina, who has been pulled to arrow bc of the familiar (tho this is told to us and not nearly shown to us well enough, this could have been so fun, come on), all he sudden says to Zephyr (that’s not his name but it started with a Z) [Arrow’s familiar] that she won’t take his shit anymore and damn his bond bc Arrow’s familiar is a POS, but this big revelations and key plot point - bc this is when storm/seraphina fully aligns with Nora, willing to work together - is just thrown in there. Show me seraphina struggling, let me learn more about her past relationship with Arrow - that could have been done in dreams that Nora has, dreams being glimpse of Serafina’s past. Euh but no. It’s just like boom here you go, this really cool idea that I started to introduce, no development just splat, served up and done. It’s actually a bit infuriating. Again bc the ideas are good, there is just no good development to those ideas.

And when Kolton said he never thought about Nora as a mate when he made the marriage arrangement, I just sighed, bc if not a single thought, no pull or tug it hidden feeling he couldn’t place, then why would he want her when he didn’t even know her? Like to marry her so she could protect his family? Take over his fortune? A stranger? Like no, you wouldn’t unless there was some intuitive push to her that, yea you may not know what it meant, but you would know that the mysterious force was driving you.

And the end just was lame. He ended up breaking mentally bc Nora almost dies and it seems like that is going to be the focus of book 3, which just seems boring if I’m honest. Like I totally get the idea the author has with this and it makes sense bc of Kolton’s mom, but idk just have Kolton become more protective of Nora as a result versus fully encompassed as book 3 description seems to hint at. Or even better, have the witches capture Kolton as her saves Nora in a heroic effort. Or have the witches do something to shadow (Kolton’s familiar) so he’s locked or stuck and make that the reason Kolton is “fractured”. Kolton having a psychotic break, while it’s the fear he has throughout the book, just doesn’t seems convincing to me here. Like him suffering this break after she was captured for like months or their bond breaking and he thinks she is dead, absolutely. But bc of a close call in which he saved her? Idk just feels a little underwhelming to me. Am I heartless?

It’s so hard to explain, but this book didn’t work for me. It’s super average with an odd pace and no real character development. The storylines are shallow and I feel like maybe the plot is too centered around the smut that the actual story doesn’t feel strong or cohesive. It just doesn’t work for me. I lost interest. I had to skim read it. I almost DNF’d this book, honestly, bc I was starting to feel like I was wasting my time reading this and was itching for a new story. But, to be fair, I was curious enough about what would happen that I did push through, and so even tho I skim read majority of this book, the fact that I skimmed read it at all to see is why I’m giving the is 2 stars versus 1.

"Naughty girl. You'll take it how I want you to. Now open up, nice and slowly."
"Your scent. Your taste. Every sound that you make. I'll never get enough of you, sweetness"

You guys...HE CALLS HER SWEETNESS! *swoons*

Midnight Claim is the perfect title for book two in the Wolves of Midnight series because Kolton Rivers, Alpha of all Alpha's did plenty of claiming!! Becky promised us that this was her spiciest book yet and she delivered!!

Aside from the spice, the plot itself had me hooked! There is betrayal, longing, tension, all kinds of paranormal beings (witches, angels, demons, wolves), and so much more. This book picks up after the HUGE cliff hanger in Midnight Vow and starts to show us piece by piece the different sides of Nora and Kolton. Nora is such a strong FMC and although she swoons over Kolton just like we do, she also finds the confidence in herself and becomes the pack's Alpha Female when needed. Kolton has been trying to do what's best for his family and his pack for so long but never does what is best for himself...until now. He can no longer fight his feelings for Nora anymore. I really enjoyed how every interaction, unspoken words, or stolen glance led up to the moment when they realize they are soulmates. It wasn't something that was rushed or forced. And I really love that we got the different POVs this time around and even a couple of POVs from their wolves!

I am just such a fan of the way Becky writes because with each book, it's like I can see the scenes play out almost like a movie in my mind. It's detailed and has me on the edge of my seat with each page. And let's not forget the additional characters! The banter between them is perfect. I cannot wait to see them again in the next book!

I highly recommend that you start with book one and then immediately read this one next. You will fall in love with these characters just like I did!
