Ma'am! The Ink Well, was supposed to be a place of peace and serenity, but the drama and messiness that was up in there! Chile..... whew! Sapphire was a sweetheart, that treated everyone like family. Everyone loved her and enjoyed the vibe of her studio. Drinks, weed, and partying was happening at the tattoo spot, while the money rolled in.

The cast of characters that worked alongside Sapphire, were a bit suspect. Jamelle, her receptionist, was her girl. But had some identity issues due to her looks, and trauma with how her mother flaunted "her" looks for her own benefit. She often acted out, and it sometimes spilled over into the studio.

Vaughn, her right hand, the man who taught her to tattoo, is a bit of an enigma. You could sense there was something going on between he and Sapphire, but you just couldn't put your finger on it.

Kyle, the country boy, who moved to the big city. Kyle allowed love to lead him, even when he knew it wasn't the best thing for him. That decision caused him heartache and brought out the crazy in the woman who did "him" wrong! 👀

Turron, the ho! Was ready to get it in with any and every woman that would let him. Until he messed with the wrong man's woman! Oooppp! 😂

Ayden, the music mogul. Although he always kept an entourage around him, he was pretty low key. Loved on his girl, while awaiting the birth of his first child.

Then things get interesting when Sapphire gets a call about showcasing her tattoo studio, and all hell breaks loose! Secrets began to spill out, connections between coworkers and significant others came to light, and a shooting! 🤯 My mouth dropped to the floor when a certain connection was revealed. Why hide it? Selfish reasons? Then for it to end like that! Damn!
I had no idea I was in for such a ride when I started this read, but it was entertaining as hell!

This book just brings alive the saying “everything is not what it seems”. What appeared to be an upscale tattoo salon got down in dirty before this read ended. The author really put her all into the characters in this book and it was almost as if no one was who or what they seemed to be at first glance. You could tell character development was a huge focus. The story led to some shocking revelations and intense scenes. All in all this book was a great read. I surely plan to read more from this author.

Kaylynn does it again with her unique writing style. Although I'm not a fan of more than 3 POVs in a story, she made it work. The ending was so unexpected. If you're looking for something different to cleanse your palate, this is your story!

Bruh!! !it took me a long time to read this, but baaaaaybaaaay, this was a read worth reading. I'm not about to play with this author or these characters! I'm so over her because the end was the end, can't even ask for another part. I don't like her right now.

Ran out to the barbershop this morning, not anticipating having to wait long and I left my book at home. While waiting I ran across a post from Ebony Eyecu Evans with a link to Signed In Ink by Kaylynn Hunt. I clicked on it immediately so that I could get my read on while I waited for my turn.

‘Phire. Girl. Smh.

Kudos to Kaylynn for this fast-pace, multi-POV, read. Our main character Sapphire, was likable, but quite naive. Sis, “agreed” to some foolishness that everyone came to regret in the end.
The secondary stories added the right amount of sprinkle sprinkle to the novel as well.
This is a quick read that ends with the reader holding their chest.

Author Kaylynn Hunt has a way with telling a story and Signed In Ink is no exception. At first, I was concerned that I wouldn’t be able to keep up with the amount of characters listed but Hunt did an excellent job with character descriptions and storylines that kept me focused and able to envision each character.

As usual, Hunt’s writing is so good that she had me wanting to visit The Ink Well for my first tattoo!

I give Signed In Ink 5 stars.

The Inkwell: Reality TV

A cute and quick read from multiple points of view. This read like a reality TV script.
I loved the vibe at The Inkwell, and I loved Sapphire's spirit. It seemed out of character for her to be in a relationship that dishonored, but life is messy.. Agreeing to the filming of a reality show, thinking she would control the narrative, was extremely naive. Of course, secrets and debauchery were revealed...
The ending definitely caught me by surprise. This is my first book by Kaylynn Hunt. I'm definitely looking into her catalog.

Everything Is Not As It Seems

I enjoyed this read. The characters were characters, if you know what I mean. Sapphire was the owner of a tattoo studio, and this book centered around the lives of the artists and clients. There were some shocking revelations and a lot of drama. You should definitely visit The Ink Well.

Secrets, Lies and Drama

As much as they tried to make the Ink Well a place of peace, the drama and mess kept showing up… and in the worse way possible.

From the outside looking in, The Inkwell Tattoo Studio owned by the no-nonsense Sapphire appears to be a successfully run, reputable, and drama-free establishment. However, when it comes to filming a reality show, proper etiquette is quickly forgotten. As soon as the cameras begin rolling…. All is fair in love and war. Everyone’s dirt is exposed and shocking secrets are revealed. Kaylynn Hunt did her thang telling the story from many characters' points of view. And that jaw-dropping plot twist had me on the edge of my seat‼️
