Nico is no typical hero. He's a skilled marksman, an assassin with a past shrouded in the murky world of organised crime. But when he witnesses a child being abducted, his sense of duty overrides his reluctance to get involved. The stakes escalate when the same child appears on his doorstep in the dead of night, desperately seeking his help.
Molly, a successful professional artist and a fiercely protective mother, doesn't condone Nico's way of life, but she is profoundly grateful for his unexpected intervention when her children's lives are at risk. She has made a vicious enemy, shattering the tranquillity of her carefully ordered world. She’s out of her depth, in need of protection and despite all his faults, Nico offers that.
With danger lurking in every corner, she must lean on Nico and his deadly skills for the safety of her family. As tensions rise and threats escalate, Molly grapples with trust and her own code of ethics—can she rely on these violent men to shield her loved ones? Should she?
Amid the chaos, an unexpected connection blossoms, adding a new layer of complexity to an already tense situation. Can Nico and Molly navigate this tumultuous path and emerge with their lives and their hearts intact?
Until 2010, Ashe was a director of a regeneration company before deciding there had to be more to life and leaving to pursue a lifetime goal of self-employment.
Ashe has been an avid reader of erotic romance for many years—historical, contemporary, fantasy—you name it. Now, at last in control of her own time and working from her home in rural West Yorkshire, she has been able to realise her dream of writing sexy and compelling stories herself.
She draws on settings and anecdotes from her previous and current experience to lend colour, detail and realism to her plots and characters, but her stories of love, challenge, resilience and compassion are the conjurings of her own imagination. She loves to craft strong, enigmatic men and bright, sassy women to give them a hard time—in every sense of the word.
When she’s not writing, Ashe’s time is monopolised by her role as grandma to a lively toddler. She shares her writing space with a tortoise called Teefer.
'Savage Justice' is the seventh book in Ashe Barkers "The Caraway Brotherhood" series and, to be honest, I could almost feel the sadistic glee come over me as a plan comes to fruition. Ashe Barker has brought Nico and Molly to life beautifully in this story. Nico witnessed a man nab a small girl from the parking lot and unceremoniously toss her in the back of a white van. When Tony comes out of the store they give chase. Molly is an unknowingly famous sculpter and painter who has recently relocated to the area with her two children. There is all the angst, drama, suspense, chemistry, and passion I've come to expect and appreciate from this author. I'm chomping at the bit now after reading the blurb for the next one.
This is the 7th book in this series, but it can be read as a standalone. Nico doesn’t normally play the hero but when he sees a little girl being abducted, he steps in. He never expected to see her again, especially showing up at his door asking for help. Molly is a successful sculptor and has made an enemy. Will Nico be able to keep her and her kids safe? Fast-paced reading with plenty of twists and turns, drama and steam. Great characters and a fast-paced entertaining read. I loved it.
Outstandingly written book with intrigue, thrills, action and steamy romance. The book has wonderful character as well as being a page turner it also has a happily ever after ending. An artist and a marksman for the mob fall for each other. They meet due to her daughter getting abducted and saved by the marksman and another associate of the mob. Soon enough they are thrown into each other's path again when the artist is in danger and the marksman saves her. Come to find out the father of the artist’s son is doing everything so that the artist will give her son to him. She gets the help of the marksman’s mob boss. The father of the son starts getting worse and they get ahold of the man's brother in law for some help but it doesn’t work even after the brother in law has him moved out of the country. Soon the artist is arrested for theft. When she’s released, the cop that arrests her is corrupt. She and her two children are sent to an island where the mob boss does his business. During this time the mob boss as well as his men are dealing with mob business. The marksman and another mob associate go to tend to some business about a hotel that the mob owns getting underpaid by a guy who they have tending to their car theft enterprise. They find two women's bodies, the manager of the hotel as well as a prostitute. While in the hotel the marksman gets stabbed by the car theft dealer. The artist goes to the hospital that the marksman is at and when he wakes up they talk. She tells him everything and they decide to wait to see where their relationship goes. They both love one another and they tell each other that. After the marksman gets out of the hospital he goes with the mob boss and couple other men to tend to the car theft dealer. They go forward with the art that the artist did. They contact an investigator about the art. The father of the artist’s son as well as his brother in law find themselves in a bad way. The marksman goes to tend to the father, while there the father gets arrested but still does what he’s supposed to do. The brother in law of the father comes with his second to talk to the mob boss and the others but he winds up leaving without getting what he wanted. The artist's daughter starts going to a private school. The artist tells her daughter about her father and about the other artist being her uncle. The father of the artist’s son winds up dead in jail. They all go to the cemetery that the artist’s daughter's father is buried at, the uncle is with them. They talk about the daughter going to visit her uncle where he lives sometime when she’s older or maybe the marksman will take her. The artist is pregnant and while walking the marksman asks her to marry him and she tells him yes. They all are happy. They love one another.

“Savage Justice” is a Mafia romance, and is the seventh book in The Caraksay Brotherhood series by Ashe Barker. This series is comprised of interconnected standalone stories; they can be read independently of one another. If you have the pleasure of reading other books in the series, though, it’s great to see previous main characters reappear here in supporting roles.
Nico is a skilled marksman for the Brotherhood. But this assassin has a heart and a moral code, so when he witnesses a young girl being abducted at a bus stop, he springs into action. He and one of his colleagues rescue the child. They return her safely (and anonymously) to her mother, without ever meeting the woman. A month later, in the middle of the night, that same little girl appears on his doorstep with her infant brother, pleadings that Nico help her mother who is at home and in terrible danger. Her mother, Molly, is a successful sculptor and artist. Molly’s background is somewhat murky until later in the story, but she’s in the crosshairs of a person or persons willing to torture and even kill her to achieve their goals. Nico becomes her savior, and the sparks that fly between them are something neither could have ever anticipated. Nico and the Brotherhood offer Molly and her children a safe refuge and protection while they deal with the danger faced by the small family. The sparks between Nico and Molly grow into a wildfire that makes them both reevaluate their own choices and life goals.
Main characters Molly and Nico are multidimensional and develop even further throughout the story. Her daughter, Lucy, is important in her own right and ends a lot to the book. The pacing of the plot is nicely done. It develops in unexpected ways and provides some intriguing twists and turns. There is some graphic intimate activity and intense, violent scenes, but it’s all in keeping with the storyline. I thought the ending was excellent and fit the personalities of the characters. I also appreciated the set-up for the next book in the series.
I received a copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily sharing my thoughts and opinions.
Danger, mystery, suspense, arson, forgery, brutality, drama, abduction, and romance. This is what to expect in Nico and Molly's story which is book 7 in the Caraksay Brotherhood series. I was impressed by the author's ability to introduce so many characters and make each one of them interesting and important to the storyline. I found the forgery and characters interesting, but the hero of the book for me was Lucy. What a little champion she was. The searing chemistry between Molly and Nico was palpable and every new experience pulled them closer together.
The premise of the story was outstanding. It was fast-paced, well-executed with the right amount of intensity. It was more violent than previous books, but that was well balanced out by the compassion and support given to Molly and her children by the Savage family. It was easy to forget they were criminals when they took Molly in, a complete stranger.
The story jumped straight into action concentrating on the relationship between Molly and Nico. Nico was an assassin and marksman for the family. He did not hesitate to jump in when he witnessed the abduction of a young girl. Nico once again became involved when the same girl came asking for help in the middle of the night.
How far would you go to compromise your values? This is the dilemma Molly finds herself in with Nico. Molly is a talented artist and protective mother but struggles to come to terms with Nico and his role in the Savage family. Her perspective changes as the danger to her family continues to grow. Molly may not agree with Nico's plans, but it does bring her peace.
I loved how Nico engaged with Lucy and even Ethan showed a softness with the children but you wouldn't want to slight them and get on their bad side. The games of chess were a nice touch. There were many tense situations and raw emotions in this book and I enjoyed them all. Another excellent addition to this series.
Another simply amazing read, great action by Nico and Molly who he is trying to help Nico is a skilled marksman and is a great asset to the group. When he was on a job, he had stayed away from the any distraction as focus was so important this has to happen if the jobs, she did was absolutely necessary. Molly was a protective mother her children were her life and so when when Nico had been contacted by one of her children and had stepped in and helped one of her children, Molly is shocked and also grateful for the help he had provided. Molly is in a situation when she being threatened and once again Nico comes to her aid and helps to stop the threats she feels, Molly is grappling with the situation and she realises that she needs his help in keeping both herself and her children safe from the threats she has been suffering from. This is a wonderful read and the interaction between Molly and Nico are drawing them deeper into the situation and that his interaction with Molly and family is giving him a hands-on impression of the care and feelings looking after a family and protecting them. I guarantee that you will love this wonderful story and guarantee that one of you ill enjoy this book and look forward to future books in this series. I assure you that you will love every moment of this book it is simply a fantastic read. I voluntarily received and review an Advanced Reader Copy I thoroughly enjoyed the book and look forward to reading any future publications; keep up all the great writing.
Part of The Caraksay Brotherhood series each can be read as a standalone with a dangerous sexy and the one who captures his undivided attention so make sure to double check that you are buckled up, dangerous men, alpha’s personified, possessive, oh, gorgeous, brooding all the makings of a story consisting with three D’s (dark, delicious, and dirty) 😊. There will be suspense, betrayal, death, darkness, secrets reveled, violence, hope, forgiveness, and maybe even love along the way. Nico sexy as all get out skilled marksman, dangerous, deadly on most days working with the brotherhood keeps him away from distractions in order to do his job properly and that has worked for him keeping his head in the game until he gets a call. Molly a single parent some may say overprotective so when her child reaches out asking for help, he steps in assist, she is thankful for his help but the second time around she reaches out he is there to help she is tired of dealing with the fear, the threats, and the suffering from it all needing his help. They try to keep it professional, but the magnetic pull is something neither of the can ignore the more they try the harder the pull between them grows but is she okay with his lifestyle, does he love her kids enough to have a life with her, and can they find the balance to find happiness?
Savage Justice is the seventh book in ‘The Caraksay Brotherhood’ series and tells the story of the family marksman and assassin, Nico and Molly, a professional artist and sculptor. Nico and Molly meet after he saves a child from being abducted, the child belongs to Molly who has recently moved to the area to try to escape a murky past. When the child turns up a couple of nights later stating that her mother is in danger, Nico comes to her aid yet again.
This book had me riveted from start to finish, it’s fast paced and packed with murder, mystery and mayhem, as well as red hot passion. As with all previous books in this series, they can be read as standalones but are interconnecting so it is advantageous to read them in order as the characters from the previous books pop up regularly.
An excellent addition to the series, can’t wait for further instalments in this series of dark Mafia romances.
I received an ARC of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I haven't read all the books in this series, but I have read enough to get to know the characters and the setting. Although this can be read as a standalone, it is clearer with some prior knowledge. Written in an accessible, smooth writing style, an entertaining and compelling story. Nico and Molly's lives accidentally cross paths when Molly's life is turned upside down. In addition to support with her problems, Nico also offers her passion and ultimately love. But first there are a number of obstacles that must be overcome, including the threats against Molly, but certainly also her reservations about Nico's lifestyle and career, ... as a marksman of the Caraksay brotherhood crime family. Engaging, but with a dose of violence and steamy scenes, likeable characters, ingenious plots in a completed story, with a start for the next fascinating story, which I am already looking forward to.

I have said it before and I will say it again, this series is amazing. Savage Justice, well, yes it was and I loved every minute of it. I do have to say that at first I did think Molly was a little willy nilly with the men she hooked up with but when certain facts came out I decided she wasn’t quite so loosey-goosey. Okay, so Nico. Wow, can he be packaged and delivered to me. Just saying. I found this story to be very intriguing with the paintings and “forge” masters and all that went along with it. I love that kind of stuff, yeah I am a bit of a nerd when it comes to history.
The Caraksay’s protective instinct for children is outstanding and Ashe incorporating that aspect into this series is brilliant. Soft spot coming…
I cannot wait for Kristain’s story. I was intrigued by him in this story and wowza, the end.
I had trouble putting this down. Well worth reading.
Nico is waiting for his friend to make a purchase when he sees a young girl kidnapped. He follows and rescues Lucy, leaving the kidnapper with broken legs for the police to pick up. Lucy is safely returned to her mother, Molly. However, a couple of weeks later Molly has an intruder who wants her baby son. Lucy escapes to Nico for help. This is the second time Molly has had problems and Nico wants to solve her problems. Nico works for Ethan Savage who runs the Caraksay organisation so he has access to anything he needs to protect Molly and her family.
I loved this book. It is violent but the violence is appropriate for the plot. It is part of a series but it reads fine as a standalone. I might go back and reread the earlier books.

OMG! Wow, I absolutely loved reading this book it was awesome, the story was exhilarating and the characters were really captivating. This story was about Molly and Nico, Molly's little daughter Lucy was a brave little girl, she loves her little brother Noah, it was his father that seemed to be the cause of so many problems and Lucy ran with her little brother to find Nico for help. Nico and Molly both seemed to have fallen for each other and it was hot, hot and steamy, trouble was never to far away. This story was one you won't want to put down, I loved it.

Savage Justice is the 7th story in the Caraksay Brotherhood series. While most of the characters from the previous books make appearances or are at least mentioned, the romance between Nico and Molly stands on its own. While there's quite a lot of graphically described violence in this book, there's also unexptected tenderness and care, with two adorable side characters bringing out the best in everyone. It's a fast-paced page-turner with unexptected developments and a potential villain who just might not be what he seems to be. Can't wait for the next book to find out! I was fortunate to have received a free copy from the author and am leaving this review voluntarily and honestly.
This is the seventh book in the series. You can read it as a standalone, but reading the rest of the series is much better. Nico is one of Ethan Savage's men. He is family. When he witnesses a 10-year-old girl being abducted, he springs into action. Lucy is rescued and taken to her home, with a short side trip to Ethan's stronghold. When Molly, Lucy's mom, is assaulted in her home, Lucy runs to Nico for help. This is the start of a beautiful relationship between the two amidst the daily operation of the Savage empire.
I enjoyed the story, and I'm glad to see that there will be another book in the series. I received an advance copy, and this is my honest review.
I loved the storyline and the characters were outstanding. Nico is an assassin in the Caraksay Brotherhood. He sees a child. getting kidnapped and he steps in and saves her. He never expects to see the child again but she ends up on his doorstep. Her Mother, Molly, is a famous artist and sculptor but she's made an enemy. Molly and Nico take the kids on the run. The Brotherhood might be brutal but they might be what keeps Molly and her kids safe. There is drama, suspense, chemistry, twists and turns, steam, passion, and love. It was fast-paced and entertaining. Awesome read.

I love that these books can be read as stand alone, but they are better enjoyed if read in order.
Nico and Molly may be the main characters, but Lucy is the one who stole my heart. I'm not usually a fan of children playing a role in my mafia romance, but Ms. Barker wrote Lucy in such a way that I couldn't imagine the story without her. Molly is a smart, complex, strong, determined character and Lucy takes after her mother. Nico is dangerous, sexy, equally as smart, and extremely protective. He's just what Molly and her children need. I loved the angst and drama, and I loved the very satisfying ending.
I love the Caraksay books and this one was no exception. I found it a bit more violent than the previous ones but the violence was offset by Lucy who was adorable. The storyline is fascinating and the world of art forgery was so interesting. Molly is the opposite of Nico but she is very smart and very talented and finally comes to term with the mobster lifestyle. Nico maybe a mobster but he is also caring and wonderful with Lucy and Noah. Ethan is also great with the children and the chess scenes are great. I read this book in one day it was too hard to put down.
With Savage Justice, Ashe Barker draws the reader into yet another fast paced, action packed, brutal and steamy yet touching and romantic - and completely unputdownable - mafia love story. The expertly executed and highly complex plot with its bone chilling violence, ever present danger, breath abating suspense and palpable chemistry between interesting, wonderful characters makes this beautifully written book another absolutely captivating Caraksay installment for the win.
Savage Justice: The Caraksay Brotherhood-Book 7 by Ashe Barker. I enjoyed Nico and Molly’s story and thought it was entertaining. I liked the dynamic between these two and even though they are on two separate plains in life, their chemistry is off the charts, and both are determined to keep the kids safe even if it means losing their hearts to each other. Good action-packed drama with bits of suspense and complexity. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This is great addition The Caraksay Brotherhood series and each book is standalone . The dangerous men are sexy but quite dangerous. He is assassin but you wouldn’t know if you don’t look into his eyes. Child traffickers don’t cross him because you could ended with broken parts of the body or move to other dimensions. It’s a suspense romance with violence and so many twist and turns Very engaging and intriguing characters.

Savage Justice by Ashe Barker is Book 7 of Caraksay Brotherhood Series. This is the story of Nico and Molly. Molly is a very famous sculptor and artist who has just moved to town with her two kids. Nico is a assassin for the Brotherhood. When Nico witness a young girl being taken he steps in to rescue the girl. Nico returns her to her home without meeting the mother. A few weeks later that same girl comes to him with her little brother asking for help because her mother is in danger. Enjoyed this book so much. I can't wait to read more from this author.
Justice is Savage Indeed Molly and Nico are from very different worlds - she’s an artist, he’s an assassin - but violent circumstances bring them together repeatedly. And then he kisses her to get her to be quiet (not sure why that worked!). This story has plenty of twists and subplots in it, making it an exciting and dynamic read. There’s also some very graphic violence (I skim read over parts) of the t0rture sort, just an FYI. A new bad guy (or is he?) is set up at the end - I’m excited for the next book, Savage Revenge!
Intense doesn't even begin to describe the overall feeling of this book. Everything just seems to be magnified by ten as this smartly crafted tale that skillfully blends things you probably never thought would or could work together, grabs you and refuses to let go. I found this a highly entertaining and suspenseful read.

While out on business, Nico witnessed a little girl getting kidnapped and went to rescue her. Along the way he meets her mother, Molly, only to save her too. As they dig deeper to the attacks, Niko and Molly grow closer together. It was nice to go back to the Savage organization and see how the past characters have moved along. The romance moved along pretty quick and it was low drama. Nice little read.

Nico and Molly. He's a skilled marksman, an assassin. shes a successful professional artist and a fiercely protective mother. She doesnt approve of his life but turns to him when in danger. this is an intense, intriguing, dangerous read. Full of chemistry, mystery, suspense, drama, action. Loved these two.

Take a co@ky, alpha man on a mission as marksman for the mafia, add in an artist who turns to him for help and you get an explosive plot. Lots of suspense, with edge-of-the-seat action, romance, and passion. It’s all well-written here with mafia thrills included. Love how all that is woven through the author’s plot in each book. This is Book 7 of the Caraksay Brotherhood.
I received a free copy of the book in advance and am leaving this review voluntarily.
I loved Nico and Molly’s story… Nico, an assassin in the Caraksay Brotherhood, and Molly, an artist and single mother, make an unlikely couple with a sizzling hot connection. The Brotherhood’s brutal ways of dealing with problems may be the only way to keep Molly’s young family safe… I received a free copy of this book. This review was posted voluntarily.
A cracking read - the whole series has been fab. each works stand alone but is better to have been read in order as the context builds. Steamy, adult romance with plenty of mafia style badness along the way.
