Furry Alien Mates #1

Knotted by the Wolf Prince

Rate this book
Logan Parrish was a Cleveland police officer for all of two days when aliens that look like wolves, foxes, bunnies, and a bunch of other animals suddenly arrived. They claim they come in peace and just want to share their knowledge and tech with humans to improve everyone's lives. At first, Logan isn't sure what to believe.

But when he's acting as security while the Norlons visit Earth for the first time, Logan can't stand by and let a big black wolf get shot. Logan takes the hits himself.

Prince Alam Ye Lena knew the humans of Earth wouldn't embrace them with open arms, but he never anticipated violence. When a human man puts himself between Alam and certain death, Alam doesn't hesitate to fly back up to his ship and take his savior with him.

In the coming weeks, Logan sees that the Norlons really are here to help and devotes himself to their cause. He quickly gets closer to the prince leading the delegation and knows he's found the love of his life in a big furry wolf.

But a faction calling themselves Humans First refuses to see the possibilities of an alliance with aliens and brings explosive suffering to the Norlons. Can Logan and Alam survive the ordeal and come out stronger on the other side?

Knotted by the Wolf Prince features an anthropomorphic wolf as an alien, a human cop turned consultant, boss/employee relationship, lots of knotting (obvi), cuddles with fluffy black fur, licks and kisses, nanobots healing everything, overcoming bad actors who can't accept help from aliens, and a HEA. This is the first in a planned 6-book series featuring different couples that should be read in order.

I don’t understand how you can make out with someone who has a muzzle. Just no.

This is not a shifter book, the aliens stay in their furry, upright form.

The book reads very easy. Low drama, no complicated backstories or emotions. There is also no real heat or overwhelming passion that one would think an alien Wolf Prince would have when meeting his mate. I wanted rawrrrr, but got ruff.

The premise:

Logan Parrish was a Cleveland police officer for all of two days when aliens that look like wolves, foxes, bunnies, and a bunch of other animals suddenly arrived. They claim they come in peace and just want to share their knowledge and tech with humans to improve everyone's lives.

Logan saves the Prince finds himself whisked off on the alien ship.

Sex positive furry aliens
Gay romance
Graphic intimacy
Knotting
Wagging tail
8 nipples
Predictable drama
HFN

“Norlons and humans share a similar sexual appetite and have enjoyed discovering the many ways we are physically compatible with each other. My team’s goal is to recruit as many humans as are willing to relocate to Nor and work in the brothels.”

This story wasn’t terrible, but it also wasn’t very engaging. Everything feels very surface level, so maybe good for a light book between heavier stories.

I usually like Delaney Rain's weird little alien/sci-fi romances, but this was disappointing for me.

Most of her stories are fun, fish-out-of-water kind of romances, with short (but sweet) plots. This was my longest Delaney Rain, and it kind of dragged. We start off the book with the furries-aliens already on earth, so we are kind of thrust into the plot in what felt like the middle of a story.

I was also a bit let down by the insta-love. It's a low-angst book with a lot of sex and not much else, and I was bored for most of it. The two sort of just fell into a relationship, and I didn't feel satisfied by the romance. It didn't do much for me.

One of Delaney Rain's misses, in my book.

There's a lot of things I would change because it just doesn't sit well with me..
- the mc being a cop
- the alien being depict as an animal
- the terrorists organization
- the politics overall

The pairing of the cop and the alien
One mc being told (go back to your planet) while the other is with the authority

AM I REACHING?, I probably are because I'm hypersensitive right now

Their relationship is moving so fast not that I have problem with that it's just logan barely said anything about his personal life so was Alam.

Im having a hard time imagining Alam as a werewolf I have to fancast him as a really hairy guy in my head.

This all was a personal opinions

Very light and fluffy, I had a good time reading this and it hit the spot of a nice, quick comfort read during a really, really long week. It was sexy, though somehow less anthro-forward than I thought it would be - the wolf-like anthropomorphic character has an appropriate number of nipples though which was a nice addition. I cannot believe these are things I now notice in books but here we are.

The worldbuilding and plot was less fulfilling than the romance. There are intriguing elements but I found the Norlon culture just a little too...fluffy bunnies? I don't know, I think utopia is a terrifying concept and my natural inclination is more Happy Tree Friends so YMMV.

Sexy alien wolf prince knots ex police officer turned human delegate to the alien spaceship, while convincing humans the aliens are amazing (they are) and furries are gonna love them (both furries and monster fudgers). Short fun and spicy.

Strangely sweet. Exactly what one needs from time to time.

If you are familiar with this author’s books then you will definitely know what to expect. If not, well, it’s not to everyone’s taste.

So, I totally get that this might not work for some. But I — surprisingly — liked this one quite a bit. The furry aliens were fun, the politics kept me interested (but I should also point out that almost every problem was solved way to easily, but then I didn’t expect anything else) and the romance was quite believable even if it was rather fast paced.

I honestly can’t think of anything that I truly disliked. It was a quick and easy read with everything I wanted from a Delaney Rain book.

This was a fun read, though a lot less politically inclined than I gathered from reviews.

Logan and Alam had good chemistry that could have been off the charts with a bit of push and pull.

The spice was hot but Delaney definitely missed an opportunity by leaving Alam’s tail out of the bedroom action

4.5 stars. I’m quite surprised by how much I enjoyed this novella. This is my first book by this author and I absolutely will read more in the future! I picked this book up on a whim as I saw the most wonderful post on Instagram by the author thanking everyone for reading their book and how happy it made them and how they would work so hard on future books for their readers and their lovely post made me want to read their book and support them! I’m so glad I did as it was such a fun story.

I didn’t quite know what to expect with this book. I’ve never read anything like this before. I’ve read monster, shifter and alien romances before but nothing with kind of all of them together haha. This is a shorter book so it went a little faster and was pretty much fated mates but it honestly worked for me. I could feel their connection and it made sense.

I absolutely loved Logan. He was such an amazing human and his ideas to help the two species get along were amazing. He took everything in stride and just wanted to help! I had a harder time envisioning Alam while I read but that’s just me I’m sure. I loved how he was so devoted to his people and how honest he was.

There’s no epilogue so we don’t get a glimpse into their lives later on but we did get a super quick glimpse into the characters for the next book in the series so I’m hopeful we’ll see more of Logan and Alam in that book. If you are looking for a fun, sexy, quick read that also has a bit of sadness then I absolutely recommend this story!

2/5 ⭐

DNF @ 65%.

Fluffy and sweet, but just not what I hoped it was. It’s probably because this was my first book by the author, so I’m ignorant to their writing style, but I’d hoped for more angst, more possessiveness, more tension, more…something. I mean, considering one of the MMCs was an ALIEN PRINCE that showed up at earth A MONTH BEFORE, you’d think there’d be a few more difficulties they’d be forced to overcome. But nope…everything to this point had been so uncomplicated and pretty straightforward.

I mean, Logan woke up injured on an alien ship surrounded by aliens wanting to inject him with alien technology, and he wasn’t even the slightest concerned for even the smallest second. He was just like, “oh, hey aliens-I’ve-never-met-before. I’m not earth anymore? Cool beans.” As a police officer, he was awfully unguarded and trusting. (Great qualities to have, btw, but a bit at odds with his choice of profession and the book’s circumstances.)

If you’re in the mood for something with essentially zero conflict whatsoever, then this book is great. Unfortunately, I’m currently not.

I absolutely loved this and can’t wait for the rest of the series!!!

This was amazing! I am so genuinely Ely excited for this new series. After Aliens’ Mate I got really excited about Delaney coming back to writing about aliens and this did not disappoint in any way, shape or form. She does aliens so well - in fact she’s my favourite author for alien romance. There’s always such great world building and the aliens are genuinely intriguing. The fact that they are genuinely different is awesome too (no humans that are blue here) - it’s fun (and sexy hehe) and it brings so much more to the story. Logan was a total babe - his devotion to making a difference and helping made him really likeable but add in his genuine surprise at being valued and listened to and he was downright adorable. I just wanted to give him a hug and tell him he was awesome (pretty sure Alam might not have been as happy for me to run up and give Logan a squeeze haha). Alam was a real cutie too. He had such a gentle authority to him which fitted so well with his position and the Norlon people. I cannot quite express how excited I am for the next book - I have a feeling I’m going to adore the Captain and his man just as much as I do Logan and Alam! The series is off to a great start and I’m really excited to see where it goes!!!

So when the title says Furry, believe what it says. I didn't have a problem with that. I just didn't enjoy how the book tried to tackle some really big issues, but with really simplistic solutions. Have questions about the alien species? Put up a website. Dont notify anyone about it. Just having it out there will fix everything. Omg, you're a genius. And PBS doesn't really work that way, but whatever. Not sure if I'll continue.

this was weirdly cute.

i liked the aliens's appearances and they were unique.

what i didn't like is how fast alam and logan's relationship evolved.
i get insta attraction, it's normal, but saying the l word so quick? i don't like that.

other than that i liked the story!

Rating: ⭐⭐⭐✨

After reading Delaney’s Christmas tentacled romance, my kindle recommended me the author’s last release and I decided to give it a go! I’m not much into furry stuff (LOL) but as I’ve already said a couple of times, Delaney Rain can pull anything off, I’m sure of it.

And at least with this one, I was right!

We have a sci-fi like story where aliens come to Earth to start commercial relationships with humans. The aliens who visit us already know some humans (those abducted by other aliens and who at some point were rescued and welcomed to stay in their planet), but are certainly not prepared for the fear and hate some will show at their presence.

Logan is a human who recently started working in the Police force. He’s working security when a human attempts against the alien’s Prince, Alam Ye Lena’s life. He saves him and, in the rush and confusion of the situation, the aliens take him into their ship with them to attend to his wounds.

And that’s how the two of them meet each other, and how they start the courting that’s the main focus of the story.

It was not my fav story by the author, but it’s a cute and uncomplicated story that follows fated mates and some interesting backstory of how they try to make their relationship with humans’ work.

Even if the first book is not the best thing I ever read, it’s interesting and it shows potential for the upcoming books. I can’t wait to read the Fox Captain’s story, so much that I even read the next book’s preview chapter (which I never do). Also, there is a couple of other supporting characters that we briefly saw that could give us nice furry romances!

For now, let’s wait and see what the author brings us next.

Delaney, I’m glad to read a book thats been written by you. It’s disrespectful to readers to use a ghostwriter or AI that generates a book that is clearly not in your voice. There are hundred of books released and I’d rather not waste time or money on title that is so far below your normal level of wiring.

This book was a great start to a new series. Their intimate scenes became repetitive after a while. He could feel the heat was overused, but other than that, I thoroughly enjoyed it and I’m looking forward to the next book in this series.

🤷

Fast read, little depth, and very fluffy for such heavy subjects. If all you're looking for is a shallow, fast read, you'll probably enjoy this. I can't say it did much for me but I'm still wading through a list of authors to try out. I may circle back and try a different book later (when I'm actually looking for fluff after a darker read) but for now I'll probably skip because I read too fast, I prefer an emotional connection to the characters, and some things demand work and effort not to just magically be poofed into perfection with zero effort.

Sweet fluff, low stakes, cute wolf tail romance

A bit too low stakes for me and not quite enough cuddling but all in all if in the mood for a series with aliens who look like anthropomorphic animals and are way too nice: this is for you.

NSFW infos:
- "Wolf Prince" Alien is bigger and mainly tops, has the correct amount of nipples (why was there no real nipple play?), knots
- Human cop is smaller and mainly bottoms
- vers
- licking clean
- teasing with somno (instead just falling to sleep on knot)

This was such a fun and fantastic read. I love Delaney's book because I usually get a mix of cute, low-angst and swoony romance and Knotted by the Wolf Prince is no exception.

This is the first book in a new series of Furry Aliens that come in peace and are ready to mingle with the human population. This first book is about Alam (wolf prince) and Logan (human police officer) and they are just super cute together. There are lots of super sexy times (and knotting).
Can't wait for more from this series.
