This is book 2 of the Shayla Murphy Mystery Series and I am a fan! The characters are wonderful and the entire O’Malley family, immediate family, are just amazing people. They fill the entire book with their love for family and how they would do anything to help each other. That love also extends to the people they employ in the family business and to the animals themselves.
While I didn’t guess exactly who the killer was, I was close in my guesses about who was involved. I did however have some incorrect characters in who I thought might be guilty.
Very entertaining and will definitely be continuing the series.
Oh it was great even read out of order....really it's perfect as we meet Shayla's best friend Rylie and together they must find what really happened to Sophie, the vet and best friend of Grainne.
I loved how Shayla was hesitant to tell something to Rylie who, knowing her so well, already knew. i loved the strong connection they have and the trust in each other.
the humour and romance is well balanced with the investigation and the loss it includes
really to be recommended if you want a good cozy mystery set in Ireland with great characters
Shayla's plans for a nice visit with her best friend Rylie get trampled when Grainne's best friend and vet gets trampled by one of Grainne's race winning horses. With beautiful Ireland in the background Shayla and Rylie race to solve the case. I love the characters in this series. Each one fits in so well with the story and how everyone interacts it just seems so natural. I enjoy Shalya's adventures and the lead up to her and Seamus wedding which is going to be spectacular. And now I really want to visit Ireland!
I enjoyed this story. The characters were intriguing. There is a mystery, a murder, and one guy is arrested. The murder victims husband had a lot of gambling debt, a crazy horse owner had an argument with the vet who was murdered, and a mystery man in her employ keeps trying to buy a winning horse. Very interesting plot. And the other characters were quite entertaining. Makes me want to go to Ireland and meet the people. HEA, no cheating (at least by the main characters), no cliffhanger. Recommend this story.
Shayla's best friend Rylie is in Ireland to help Shayla pick out her wedding gown and hopefully do some sight seeing. Rylie's arrival is just in time to help Shayla investigate the death of Grainne's longtime friend and personal vet for her race horses.
This story has developed characters, some humor, and a solid plotline.
I love the characters in this series. They are so real with both good and not so good traits. I can imagine sitting down for a conversation and a cup of tea with any of them. The book was well written and the mystery kept me guessing until the end. Can’t wait for the next book to be published!
I received an arc of this book and voluntarily provided a review.
Shayla and Rylie reunite. Can murder be far behind? The best friend sleuths investigate the death of a veterinarian who may have been trampled by her patient Boo Boo. Of course, there are quite a few other suspects. So follow the clues in this baffling mystery to the stunning conclusion. Enjoy!
Enjoyed reading this book--this is the second book I have read in the series and I definitely will be reading others. Loved the story and the characters are interesting and likeable. Recommend reading.
Shayla and Rylie are back together and the laughs and mystery are as good as they always are. I loved this short story and all the fun looks we got at Seamus’s history.
Shayla and her best friend are in Ireland to pick out her wedding dress . Shayla's mother-in law to be best friend and vet dies and Shayla helps solve the murder
