Kennedy Mitchell, former perfect-student, finds herself home for the holidays after a scandal at her law firm puts her on “sabbatical”. She lands directly in the face of former classmates she’s been avoiding the past decade, especially Langston Davis. When the truth is revealed about their former rendezvous, can she keep her love life together through Christmas, or does it all fall apart before she can leave town on New Year’s Day?
No spoiler review: I loved this cozy little romcom! It was a perfect quick read for the holidays and gave me happy little feelings during a time of year that is very stressful. I felt like our main character was my bestie and she was sitting next to me as I read and rooted for her.
The story was brief but I did not feel cheated on this storyline or the story's length. I liked the way these old law school buddies found happiness again as a couple.
Great read. Right amount of everything. It's funny, a little sensual, and very relatable. It was romantic but didn't make me roll my eyes. I'll probably read it again during the holidays.
