Intent to have is a low drama, feel good very spicy romance novella between an older man and a curvy younger man. It's written in dual point of view with no cheating or cliffhanger and a beautiful happily-ever-after guaranteed. A nicely written story with extraordinary characters and a storyline driven by obsession that captures my attention from the first chapter and keeps you enthralled and turning the pages until the end. This is Declan and Lauren story. A fast paced, quick read novella. Lauren Grant is a twenty-three year old politician daughter. She's also a selfless, kind-hearted Veterinarian. Because of her dad's job and his overprotectivness he always has is private security men following within ten feet of her which doesn't leave any time for her to date a lot or even time for tinder. She's single and ready to mingle. She decided to snuck away on cruise ship for singles for vacation for a week without letting him know that she was going and turn off her phone so he would not be able to track her where abouts.
It was her, friend Jenn's idea to do it, because she tried it before and was going to be her wingman. But Jenn got sick and couldn't make it. Lauren is on that ship because she hasn't had sex in a couple of months and wanted to meet someone that she could have sex to take her out the drought. Declan Chase is a thirty-seven year old billionaire a man from the wrong side of the tracks who dig himself out of the mug by his boots strap to become the man that he is today. After he had loss both parents at fourteen years and was put in foster care. But he ran to Miami where he raised himself living on the streets. When guys his age was driving around in convertibles he was on the street around selling stuff to survive and they would laughed at him. He and Lauren doesn't not come from the same pedigree, where hers was rich lavish things all whole life. Decan and Lauren father Thomas was business for years, but are now friends, Thomas used to talk about Lauren all the time but he never brought her around. Because he was so possessive of her Declan assumed that she was a little kid. He never knew that she was a beautiful grown woman until he brought her to a fundraiser for the Children's hospital fundraiser.
He wasn't himself when they meet for the first time, he was mesmerized. He was experiencing emotions that he had never felt before for a woman and became overwhelmed. He was sexual aroused and had to excuse himself and went to the restroom when Thomas brought her over for introduction. She had spill champagne on her dress and was rubbing the stain out with a napkin which completely did him in. Declan didn't believe he was deserving of her, because of their different world. She from riches and he went from rags to riches. She thought that he hated her because of the way how he treated her whenever their paths crossed on events. He made her felt as if she was beneath him and not the type of daughter her dad imagine. Three months after their initial encounter, she had been the star of her dreams. He couldn't get enough of her and would make sure that everywhere that she was going to be he would be there too. For years he was married to his work, but one look at Lauren and he realized that there was a void in his life.
He never thought of settling down until he saw her. She had became his ultimate uncontrollable obsession. He hired private investigators to follow her and report back to him pictures, but after a while that wasn't enough for him so he would stalk her himself learning all her habits, taste, dislike everything. After following her and noticed that she was looking for someone because of the speed dates that she would try so he came up with the singles cruise idea with the help of her friend Jenn. However, he made sure that all the passengers are paid actors who believes that they're on Love Island. He doesn't care as long as he gets her. He also showed them a picture of her so men would not flirt with her. Jenn was instrumental in the planning to help Lauren find love once he confessed his feelings for her. He knows that being with her could get him in enormous trouble both personally and financially. If her dad finds out but he was willing to risk it all for her Lauren belongs to him she just doesn't know it yet. When Lauren ran into Declan on the ship at the bar she thought that he was there to spy on her for her dad until he told her that he owns the ship.
Declan was acting like a possessive caveman and run the bartender away after he made a pass at her. She didn't understand why he was being territorial with the bartender telling him that she was his. The entire incident throw her for a loop. Because whenever he would see her at events that her father would take her to, he would always be a jerk and dismissed her and now that they were on the ship he's flirting which she didn't understand. She wasn't buying into his act even though she had been attracted to him for months. Declan plan week long excursion where they would be stuck on his private island at get to know each other better. He wanted to show her the real him instead of the one that the magazines portray. The more time that they spent together on the island Lauren started to fall in love with him as he was with her. But when reality catch up with them and she found out that everything was all plan by him. She was furious short didn't understand why he would go to such lengths to get her to be with him. Lauren Grant was meant to be on a single’s cruise with her best friend Jenn but at the last-minute cancels when she becomes sick. She would never normally have agreed to go on such a holiday but recently her love life has suffered, being a twenty three year old vet who’s father is an important politician and to say was over protective would be an understatement, it is hard to make a connection with any man when you have your very own security detail watching everything that you do. So, the plan was a week away with no phone and no way for her father to intervene in her life. The very last man she expected to meet was Declan Chase one of her father’s business associates and a man treated her with distain but had starred in more than one of her fantasy’s. He seems to be everywhere on this cruise and although she must be mistaken is looking at her with possessive eyes, is he there to spy on her for her father or is there another reason, will she survive the week with her heart intact?
Declan Chase is a man from the wrong side of the tracks that has built up a billion-dollar enterprise from the ground up, he has known many influential men but his association with Thomas Grant has proved to be one of the most important. For years he has listened to him talk about his daughter only to assume she was a child, but the night that she accompanies him to a function is the day that his life changes, she was no little girl but a woman, a woman who he knows he must claim no matter the cost to his life or business. But it seems that his reluctance to get to close until he has everything in place has put a wall between them that he needs to demolish. Enlisting her friends help he sets up a singles cruise where the guests are actors with a plan to steal her away to his island and show her how he feels. Will Lauren realize all that he has risked to be with her and that his heart is true, or will he lose the woman he loves and his business all for a lost love?
This was a fun read, Declan went all out to claim his woman and Lauren was not a woman that was going to fall at his feet especially after their past. The plan was OTT but just what you would want from an alpha male and it is always great for a book to have a tough and hard to impress main female character. Enjoyable 4* read.

But Lauren misreads his actions, thinking he doesn't like her. When she decides to go on a singles cruise, she never expects to see Declan. I really enjoyed this book! The chemistry between the characters was electric, and the forced proximity on a deserted island added a thrilling twist. The story had a nice balance of sweetness and spice, making it a perfect quick read for romance lovers. The dual points of view helped me connect with both characters, and I appreciated the low-drama, feel-good vibe throughout.
The forbidden romance trope was well-executed, and the over-the-top sweet moments made me smile. It's definitely a steamy read, so be prepared for some seriously hot scenes. Overall, it's a delightful escape with a satisfying happily-ever-after.

This was a insta-everything, sweet stalker romance novella I fell in love with the Declan and the lengths he went to to have Lauren. Determined to have her. And she just swooned in the end with lots of dirty steamy hot moments in between. Just what all good romance reads are made of.

Sweet Spicy Romance
This is just the novella you need to get your happily ever after fix in and feel all warm and happy with a stupid smile on your face at the end. It was sweet to see the dynamics between the main characters and the growth that happened between the two. I believe this book could even be longer if more details were added within the characters conversations or even the epilogue - or more spicy scenes of course ;)

First off this was not a poorly written book just needed more substance. The FMC was an awkward combo of timid & boisterous but it worked for her. The MMC had an instant obsession with her from first glance.

A quick read but well worth it!
I loved this book so much. I want a billionaire to go to such lengths for me. Ok, in my imagination only!

This is a pretty quick easy spicy novella! I would love more of their story as well as the beat friends story. I will be reading more novellas by this author.

Alright, any man that is going to stage a whole cruise, island set up to get it.... CAN GET IT!
Lauren is the daughter of Declan's partner. He arranges a whole trip, well kind of manipulates and arranges a trip for Lauren to go on so he can have her alone and all to himself. Lauren loathes him pretty much due to the first time they met but there may have been some miscommunication. Being as he arranged all this, they end of spending their time together and bing, bang BOOM!! She got us with another insta love :)
I really wanted more for this book as it to be longer! The story line was going somewhere and I wanted to go some more.

I enjoyed this one. A little stalkery, but not in a creepy way. Fast paced and spicy, this is a light hearted page turner. Good stuff.

Definitely a spicy book but a quick read. Definitely had it all packed in, I only wish that I could know more of their pregnancy or even the wedding.

Steamy, slightly spicy, super sweet, instalove, age gap, father's friend, curvy, millionaire, forced proximity. There's a lot going on here. I love the spice and chemistry, but I'm torn about how willing I am to try to forgive stalking. Maybe all's well that ends well?.
