Jennifer Rodewald is passionate about the Word of God and the powerful vehicle of story. Four kids and her own personal superman make her home in southwestern Nebraska delightfully chaotic.

Born in Colorado, she experienced both the seclusion of rugged mountain living and the busy streets of a Denver suburb during her growing up years. Somewhere in the middle of college, she married a Husker and found her way back to the quiet lifestyle of a rural area, which suits just fine.

Blessed with a robust curiosity, Jen loves to research. Whether she’s investigating the history of a given area, the biography of a Christian icon, or how nature declares the glory of God, her daily goal is to learn something new. Aiming to live with boundless enthusiasm, her creed is vision, pursuit, and excellence.

Jen lives and writes in a lovely speck of a town where she watches with amazement while her children grow up way too fast, gardens, and marvels at God’s mighty hand in everyday life.

I waited eagerly for the release of book 3 in this series and I was not disappointed! In fact Jennifer, this is my favorite book so far that you have written. I was especially blessed by the sermon that was preached recording trusting the Lord and doing good. God woke me up in the middle of the night last night to remind me of this truth. I cannot express how grateful I am.

This is my favorite book in the series so far. I didn’t think it was possible, but it topped the previous two. With each book, this series just gets better and better!

I’ve really enjoyed watching these characters' journeys. They’ve each grown so much! One of the things I’ve loved the most is how authentically real they all seem. These are real-life struggles and dilemmas they’re dealing with. I might not always agree with the way they act or with their reactions, but that’s life. And I’ve loved watching it all unfold. I’ve loved watching them discover new things about themselves. And I’ve absolutely loved seeing their continued spiritual growth. It’s so inspiring!

There were quite a few new characters introduced, and I enjoyed the new dynamics they added. It’ll be very interesting to see where things go next. This is a fantastic series that I wholeheartedly recommend. Be sure to start with book one because these are not standalones.

I received an advanced copy of this book and voluntarily reviewed it. All thoughts and comments are my own honest opinions.

I’m in it for the long haul!

I so love this series so far and can’t wait for the next installment. I see that God is slowly chipping away at Hazel’s Stoney heart. ❤️❤️ And what a work He’s doing in Hunter and Bennet’s hearts….as well as Janie. Their struggles are so real and I can relate to them.
There’s just enough steam for the romantics but not so much that it makes you blush.
Hurry…the next book can’t come quick enough!!

Good book, good series!

Interesting concept for this series, as the books don't end all neat, tighty and happily ever after. Good messages of redemption, forgiveness and God's amazing love for us all throughout each of the books. I look forward to the next book and the adventures of all the characters.

In this book you will read about 4 amazing people who best friends and hiding their feelings about each other. Hunter and Janie's story is truly amazing. You will be on the edge of your seat waiting to see what happens with these two characters. Bennett and Hazels story is filled with great chemistry. This couple are both in love with each other but one is running scared. You won’t be able to stop reading this book.

Love this series! My oh my, I've been on the edge of my seat wondering what was going to happen between Bennet and Hazel and Hunter and Janie. Several times I wanted to just shake some sense into them. How I hope that Hazel lets go of her idea that she's not made for marriage...that God is willing and able to heal her heart and give her a life she never imagined was possible. And lets not forget Isa..
.I sure hope that girl isn't going to stir up trouble. Can't wait for the next book so we can hopefully get some of these questions answered. Beautiful writing, Jennifer Rodewald :) Keep them coming!

This third book was an amazing read with so many heartfelt moments. It was sad that the Crofton siblings were abandoned by their dad, literally and or emotionaly. But it was nice of Bennett to pray and find the courage to step up and become his step-siblings’ guardian with the help of others. And although it was a hard start, they eventually become a family in small town Luna.

Then we get to Janie and Hunter’s part of the story, and let’s just say I feel so sorry for Hunter. He seemed like a sad puppy throughout the second and third book. But what I love about their story is that God was working with each of them in becoming a better person. Hunter had to grow in his faith, learning to let go, trust and let God. While Janie needed to learn how to process and let go of her hatred towards her dad and Hunter. And when they finally learned how to humble themselves, doors were opened! Poor grady though, had to get involved in a love triangle, but he’ll get his own story and redemption in another book 🤭

As for Hazel and Bennett, they’re also taking tiny steps towards growth in their relationship. But their different worldview stops them from seeing things eye to eye to be able to move forward together. Yet God is still working in them both. So what will they do? Will there be hope for their relationship? I hope you’ll read along with me to the next book to find out!

Oh there is a lot happening in this latest installment of the Redemption Shores series and I love it! This might be my favorite of the three. Rodewald goes even deeper in this one and we see so much from all four of our character - Hunter, Janie, Hazel, and Bennett. They have a lot to overcome, and we can see a little bit more of why and how.

I love that Rodewald is playing this series out kind of slowly. Once again we don't have a perfect ending. We have room for growth, there are unknowns, and I am chomping at the bit to get book four. But as I have said in previous reviews, it's realistic. It's not forced at any point during the story.

I also like the faith thread here. No, not all characters have a yearning for the things of God, and you'll have to read it to see if anyone changes their mind. But that's real life. That's why I read Rodewald's books. They are true to life.

Since this is book three in the series, you'll definitely want to start from the beginning. But I think this is some of Rodewald's best work to date. I'm ready for the next book now!

I received a complimentary copy of this book. I was not required to write a favorable review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Bennett is at somewhat of a loss how to develop his relationship with Hazel when she refuses to consider marriage - and things are complicated considerably when he ends up in charge of his teenage half-brother and half-sister and brings them to live in Luna. Meanwhile, Hunter is still hoping to reconcile with Janie, but his hopes are threatened by the arrival of an attractive young park ranger in Luna who seems to have caught Janie's eye. Can they each overcome past hurts and find forgiveness with the possibility of happiness in a future together? Or are some things too badly broken to mend?

Another deeply moving visit to Luna and the Wallace siblings. Though now happily reconciled, they each face difficulties with their romantic relationships - or would-be relationships. And only their family, friends and faith - at least for Hunter - will carry them through. Interesting characters, a beautiful setting, an inspiring story, moments of humour and others that are deeply touching, not to mention beautiful writing - this is a book you'll struggle to put down. In fact, the only slightly negative thing I could say about it is that this series needs to be read together and has somewhat of an open-ended, almost cliffhanger ending - and the next book isn't out yet! I'm already waiting eagerly for the next installment.

Note that I received a complimentary copy of the book from the author. I was not required to write a positive review and this is my considered opinion of the book.

This book is from a saga series, not a standalone, so you’ll want to go and read the previous books first. 🙂

Every time I go to start a book in this series, I’m like “Man, I really like standalone series…” BUT! Every book in this series is phenomenal and once I start I cannot put them down. I loved the introduction of new characters in this book and am excited to see where this series goes. Since we get soooo many pages for these characters throughout all the books, there is A LOT of character development, faith development, family and friend development, and more. This is a lovely small town area with genuine and real people. Real troubles. Real lives. I can’t wait for the next book.

I received an ARC of this book from the author and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.

Oh, my! First of all, do yourself a favor and read the previous books. It will make this one richer for you. Second, these characters take on a life of their own. Hazel is almost as infuriating as in the previous book but shows promise while Bennett and Hunter continue to grow and seek the Savior. Throw in various other characters and some unforeseen events and you have an attention-grabbing story that will make you think, ponder, pout, and rejoice. How does Ms. Rodewald do it in book after book? I don’t know but I’m so glad she does. I received an ARC of this book and this is my honest opinion.

Breathtaking!

I feel overwhelmed with the splendor of this book! The depth of pain and loss, forgiveness and healing, love and redemption is just glorious! I have so many pages bookmarked and sections highlighted for the beauty of this story. Not just a romance between Hunter and Jayne, Bennett and Hazel, but it is a breathtaking glimpse into the love that God has for us all. My faith has grown in the reading of these books. And I’m so invested in each character’s journey. Truly, this series is a masterpiece!

Fabulous story. Eagerly waiting for the next part of the story.

The good news: the story and characters are wonderful! It’s so good to spend time with Hazel, Bennett, Hunter, and the rest in this 3rd book in the Redemption Shores series. The hard news: this is still a story in progress, and it’s killing me to be stuck in the middle.

Definitely read these books - and any others by this author - but be sure to read them in order.

Couldn’t put it down!

Lake shore Splendor did not disappoint and Jennifer has such a beautiful way of weaving a story together. The story of Hazel and Bennett and their struggle to love each other. The story of Hunter and Janie redeeming their long history of struggling to restore their love for one another. It’s so easy to picture Lake Shore Splendor lodge and I can’t wait for the next book to see how it unfolds!

Lake Shore Splendor is a great read. I enjoyed the character growth of Hazel, Bennett, Hunter, and Janie. They are characters with flaws, dilemmas, and struggles. New characters are introduced, Bennett is experiencing family dynamics, and God is chipping away at Hazel's hard heart. He is working in Bennet's Hunter's, and Janie's lives.
I am looking forward to the next installment in this saga to see how the characters grow and develop.

This is my voluntary review of a copy I received from the author.

The characters were realistically complex and relatable.
I enjoyed seeing them strengthen their understanding Christian faith, or open up to the idea that there is something to explore there. The faith elements seemed organic to the characters in their current situations.

This has to be about the best in the series that I have read

It takes a miracle to resolve these differences--God-breathed. Bennett came into an awareness of God. Janie got past her sense of being abandoned. Hazel has gotten to the point of questioning God which in itself is an awareness.

Really enjoy reading this book, I like the characters of Bennett and Hunter. Still not getting Hazel character. Like Jennifer sense of humor in her books.
I gave it 4 because the storyline made me read the last 12 chapters again but I still would like to see the books as full novels with complete endings not a series that keeps going on an on.

I love Hazel, Hunter, Janie and Bennett. Every time Hazel and Hunter get vulnerable you can’t help but be filled with compassion for them and maybe want to give them a hug. I think Hazel’s struggle with marriage is so realistic and raw. I love seeing Hunter’s walk with God as his faith grows. I’m so looking forward to the next book.

Great series!

Have thoroughly enjoyed these first three novels in Redemption Shores! The first novel had me laughing
out loud at the interactions between 'Mountain Lioness' and 'City Boy'. Love how Jennifer Rodewald
weaves events in true life to reflect our emotions, thoughts and actions as we trust and grow in the Lord.
Eager for this series to continue!

Be sure you've read books 1 and 2 before this one, or all the interactions and relationships won't make sense. There is a bit more redemption and hope in this one, as some things get resolved and personal growth takes place. Rodewald keeps dragging out some of the plot lines and leaves them hanging, so be prepared to read the next one.

I am so invested in these characters. Jennifer Rodewald does such a great job of fleshing out each one. I hurt for Hunter as he watched Janie flirt with Grady, but they were both so stubborn, refusing to face the truth about their feelings. Love seeing how scripture and godly mentors poured into these young believers. Can’t wait to see what happens next.

It is neat to see more about these couples in their journeys, individually and together. These characters are very realistic. The lessons they learned were so profound, and we also can learn from them. Very well done!

Great storyline

Stubborness causes so many unnecessary problems in relationships. It is hard to let go and let God. He will always steer you on the right path if you just place your trust in him..

Excellent, heartfelt anguish for love, forgiveness, and hope

Very deep book written on christian beliefs, human failures, and then redemption and a hope for the future. Beautifully written. Highly recommended for all readers.

The continued story becomes increasingly interesting with new characters. I find the description of nature's handiwork refreshing. To watch these characters Develop a growing relationship with God is rewarding in fiction - Bringing the truth of the gospel to printed storytelling.

Enjoyed it.

3.5 stars. I have loved everything I have read by Jennifer Rodewald, but this series has not really hit the mark for me. That being said, I still did enjoy this book and the characters and storylines are very raw and real, which I love.
