Whispered Surrender is the first book in the Sinful Duets books by Via Mari is another fantastic read from this talented author. Whispered Surrender is the collection of previous books Wayward and Undercover.
I see Via’s name and jump straight in. I don’t even read the cover because I always know I am in good hands when it comes to her books. It is a great start to another of her fabulous series and has many of my old favourites from her other series. Hot alpha men looking out for their own with the backing of their employers who trust them like family. And the romance is all hot tamale and sizzling to the point of boiling. Via has once again woven her magic and puts you through hoops where the drama and secrets, fear and pain, love and lies is palpable and we travel to exciting place. There is conflict with some of the most powerful and dangerous men in the world including several mafia families.
There are two stories to one book and the first is Jay and Sasha’s story:
Jay met a siren, but she only has eyes for his boss. The beautiful ballerina takes his breath away but how does he get her to see she is made for him and him alone but when a secret is brought to light, he may just have to walk away with his heart in tatters.
The second book is Matt and Marenah’s story:
It is another exciting and titillating story in this series which is a spin off from the original Prestian series and another spin of being the Torzial Affair. Each of these series are fantastic and now we get to see the wonderful alpha hotties who look after and manage the security of the billionaires get their own stories. All the characters intertwine within each of the series so now we are getting to know so much more about them and get reacquainted with them much more intimately. As always Via leads a mighty dance keeping it all together without compromising on the great story. The action and feelings, the secrets and danger, love and drama is described so vividly that it is palpable and draws you in. I always lose out on sleep when reading Via’s stories as I have to know how it will all end, and it is so, so easy to get lost in the journey they travel in.
In this book we get to see where Matt came from and what he has been through. And when a mysterious blond comes into his life, he won’t let her go but when he finds out the truth, he may just have to do that.
I suggest you start at the beginning with the Prestian series and work your way through, because as I said they are all intertwined characters, and you will see where it all starts. You will thank me later.

2 books in 1 whats not t love!
Jay and Sasha. their chemestry is off the charts hes a protector and shes a bratva princess playing a dangerous game between two familes, will Jay be able to do his job and kee her safe?
Marenah and Matt. trapped together when all Marenah wanted was answers, Matt was looking for Sasha when he gets taken and held captive his only light is Marenah but she has secrets of her own.

I love reading Via Mari’s billionaire stories. First there was The Prestian Series, then The Torzial Affair and now The Billionaire Bodyguards! While I have not read The Prestian Series (yet), I loved the Torzial Affair. The three series mix a little with the characters. You don’t have to read one to understand the others but it sure helps and Mari’s writing style makes you WANT to read every word she writes!
Wayward is about Sasha and Jay. Sasha is a little lost and well “wayward”. But with the help of Jay she is able to figure out her own worth and eventually understands that she is not all on her own.
I love the inter-connecting of the story lines and characters. Not only do you get to “meet” new ones but you get to reconnect with old ones.
Undercover is just as good as Wayward. The action, the hotness, even the secrets being kept. It seemed that everyone was undercover for one reason or another! I kept trying to guess who the good guys were and who the bad guys were.
Matt is a body guard. He is also working undercover trying to uncover some mafia secrets and save innocent people. He is good at what he does. It doesn’t hurt that he is delicious to look at.
Marenah is the twin sister of Sasha from book one, Wayward. (You really don’t have to read book one to read Undercover but it sure doesn’t hurt.) Marenah’s family has many ties to the mafia, which includes secrets of their own. We know that her loyalty lies with her sister. We also know that Marenah is undercover, but who is she trying to help?! So many secrets!
Reading books by Mari makes good sense. These books are easy to read, adventurous, steamy and an easy way to escape reality.

Whispered Surrender is a spicy dark romance about a bodyguard and an illegitimate Russian mafia princess. Jay is a bodyguard for some very powerful people. As he is watching one of his clients, he falls in love with the woman who the client was sleeping with, Sasha. Sasha is a broken ballerina after any attention she can get due to being discarded by so many men and even her father. What she doesn’t know is that Jay has been watching her and believes there is chemistry there. He becomes “obsessed” with making sure his “angel” is safe. For much of the book, Sasha struggles with the fact that someone could actually want her to want her, so you find her pushing Jay away but still falling for him at the same time. In all of this love struggle, Jay is also trying to keep her safe because there is someone out to get them but they can’t quite figure out who, due to so many enemies. Will he be able to keep her safe? Will she be able to allow him to love her? Will the two be able to find a balance between chaos, hurt, and romance?
There were many things I liked about this story and a couple of things I didn’t. This author is a favorite mafia storyteller of mine so I will always read one of her books. One good thing, about the book, was the spice. Ohhh there were so many good spice scenes. I liked the power/submissive roles played by the characters, as well. If you don’t like that type of trope this is not the read for you because there is a clear power/submissive dynamic. The main aspect that bothered me was the whole misunderstanding of the feelings scenario. Now, I know it was probably necessary for the plot but I hate when the characters are saying something but everyone is misreading because they are not expressed straight forward. Also, Sasha was highly insecure (again necessary for the plot), but sometimes I just wanted to tell her to open up her ears and eyes. Jay, on the other hand, I enjoyed his character. He was strong, powerful, controlling but not overly so, and got things done.
The second half is about Matt and Marenah. Matt goes undercover to gather intel, but ends up captured by the Russian mafia. Jay helps get him back, but there is much they have to be careful about (this happens in Jay’s story). During the undercover ops, Jay falls in love with Sasha’s sister, Marenah. This is not a great idea for Matt, being in love with a mafia princess. This couple has many secrets that are unpacked throughout their romance. These secrets have proven deadly for many, but Matt will do anything for this new love, no matter what that means. Again these were great characters. Jay is the head of security for a very rich man, and made it to that position by being extremely good at his job and highly focused on safety and protection. He's a red blooded male, so of course he spends time with beautiful women, but he's never met one that could draw his focus - until he met Sasha. Originally, Jay met the beautiful Russian ballerina when she was warming his bosses bed. He feels drawn to her in a way he can't explain, and finds his attention continually drawn her way, especially once his boss moves on and Sasha is still clamoring for his attention.
Sasha is an illegitimate Russian beauty who just wants to feel loved. However, no matter how many men she gives all of herself to she continues to be left behind while they find the women they want futures with. First, her (terrible) father refuses to claim her, and she has a string of men who didn't want to keep her, either. She feels her looks and body are only good for men to want her for a short time.
Upon making contact with one another, the chemistry and attraction are palpable. Despite what her instincts tell her, she knows Jay wants her - he even calls her his "Angel" and wants to make her his own. In the midst of discovering their relationship and where it could go, many things comes to the fore. Jay is trying to locate his friend and teammate Matt, who had to go undercover to catch the bad guys and has stopped responding. Sasha calls her father as a last ditch effort and it appears he has sent men after her to solve his little problem of having a child he doesn't wanna claim.
Will Jay and Sasha be able to protect one another in the middle of all of the danger and chaos? Will they both allow each other to let go and have the most explosive relationship they've ever known? Will they save Matt? Or Sasha's sister? So many plays being made...will they be able to make it through together?

This is the first book in the Sinful Duets series. This is one author that never fails to impressive me. I have loved every book I have read and am always excited to read new ones. If you like possessive, strong, stubborn men, a strong lead female character, danger around every turn and chemistry and steam off the charts then I highly recommed these book. There are 2 books in the series which focus on two different couples.
The first story follows Jay and Sasha.
Jay works as security detail protecting some of the Mafia men. He is good at his job and so is his team. Normally he is focused on work until a Russian Ballerina waltz into his life and changes it forever.
Sasha is a firey woman she knows what she wants and goes for it. And what she wants is Jay's boss. However when he turns her away Jay sees his opportunity.
However she is no damsel in distress and with connections of her own to other Mafia families and selling secrets to a different one she could land herself in very hot water.
Jay meanwhile is determined to protect her at any cost but how will he react if her secrets are revealed? What would it mean for Sasha if her true identity is revealed? This is a fast paced read which had me continously turning the pages. I felt like I couldn't breath until I got to the end it was such a gripping read.

Whispered Surrender by author Via Mari is the first book of Sinful Duets, which is a combination of Wayward and Undercover. Two books in one? Yes please!
Wayward captures the story of Jay, the lead of a billionaire’s advanced security team, and Sasha, a ballet dancer who finds herself in some dark predicaments that Jay tries his best to protect her from. Although Jay is instantly attracted to her beauty and feels a deep connection to her, Sasha has incredibly low self-esteem and struggles with believing anyone could really truly care about her the way she wants to be. Jay’s dominating personality makes it hard for her to decipher his true feelings but I think as a reader, you know he is really is falling for her. She keeps trying to push him away as there are more secrets hiding in the dark.
While I did not feel much relatability to either character here in the beginning, I still appreciated the story and kept the pages turning. Eventually I did enjoy these characters more as the story continued to unfold. I think the jumping back and forth between their points of view and experiencing the scenarios from both of their view really helped me to understand the characters more. It really added extra depth to the story. And of course, I loved the steamy bits!
Undercover follows Matt, an undercover bodyguard and Marenah, Sasha’s Russian twin sister. She is caught by the Chicago mafia, who are notorious for brutally torturing women who cross them. Matt and Marenah meet under these harsh circumstances and from that moment, they are both immediately infatuated with one another. Matt makes it his mission to keep Marenah safe but Marenah is keeping dangerous secrets that make his efforts more difficult.
The chemistry between these two characters is delicious and caused me to devour every page without pause. I really admired Marenah’s resilience. She didn’t come off as a scared little mouse who needed protecting. She seldom allowed anyone to be close to her, but I loved how Matt was able to help her break down some of the walls she had built up to protect herself, and allowed herself to experience not only being with a man, but being appreciated and treated well by one.

As Jay grows closer to Sasha, Sasha is trying to run away and break free from all of her bad habits when it comes to men. Sasha has ties to the Chicago mafia and Russian Bratva that she is hiding from the world. These ties put her in danger and the need for Jay more than ever. Jay’s ties to the Italian mafia adds a layer of complexity. As Jay uses all the connections needs to to find out who is hunting Sasha and how to get it to stop, even if that means stopping it himself.
When Sasha runs away one last time, Jay comes face to face with Sasha’s twin sister who is now dating his best friend and business partner. It is a strange realization for both Jay and his bestie, Matt. Matt realizes that the same problems that Sasha is facing also haunt his girlfriend. There is more than family relations that is haunting Marenah, Sasha’s twin. Matt just has to figure out what it is.
The second story focuses on Marenah and Matt. The level of difficulty for this couple multiplies 10x by throwing in Marenah’s secret. Marenah is trying to find out the people responsible for an international human trafficking ring and stop the next ‘shipment’ from leaving Chicago. Marenah believes that someone within her organization is helping the traffickers.
Marenah knows that she can’t tell Matt who she actually works for because once she does, she knows they can’t be together. Matt’s ties to criminal families won’t have him dating a cop. When Marenah lets Matt in a little, he helps her stop the traffickers but her family connections cause additional complications.
Woooha. Nonstop action and steam, twists and a few turns, new players and old alliances. Wow. From start to finish, there is so much going on. I enjoyed that even the books have overlapping scenes, they are told from different perspectives and you get a different view, more information. I can’t wait to see where things lead.

Whispered Surrender is the combination of Wayward & Undercover. Two stories that overlap/intersect involving twin sisters, a private security protection team, different mafia outfits, and so much more. The author pulls you in. The thrill and suspense sucks the reader in. The steamy sexual tension hooks the reader on the line. I didn’t want to put this book down, but it being a holiday weekend I did have to take breaks here and there… I just couldn’t wait to get back… lol
Marenah and Sasha have both ended up in a pickle. What they don’t realize is how their separate incidents are connected at first.
Wayward was Sasha and Jay’s story. Sasha is one of the unwanted daughters of the Chicago Mafia Boss. But she’s the one who sought him out hoping to change that. Even so she infiltrates the family by other means, and now knows secrets that could get her killed. While Jay uses her as a pawn against her father, he made sure it was in a way where he knew she wasn’t leaving his side. He wanted her and wanted her instantly from the moment he saw her. However he says he does and says some stupid things which causes her to push back.
Will they survive the threats on her life?

Undercover is Marenah and Matt’s story. The difference is Marenah wants nothing to do with her good for nothing father, but she wants info to bring him down. When she’s captured by her father’s men it’s actually the help Matt’s team needed to get him out. Matt, like Jay, wanted Marenah instantly but being held captive wasn’t an ideal situation. However he promised he’d come find her. And find her he did. What he didn’t expect was the connection to Bratva. Puts him in a predicament with his current job. Actually he and Jay both it’s a conflict of interest. What will they decide?
These books flow quickly but have a lot going on. So be mindful or you’ll miss it. They also have some very strong/dark storylines so be mindful. If you’re looking for a steamy suspenseful romance this book is perfect. Just keep in mind the books happen simultaneously so there’s a lot of overlap in book two. Besides that, What are you waiting for?

Sasha is just beautiful and such a graceful dancer but she’s also Jay’s kryptonite… she’s broken and feels used up but Jay is something else and I felt sorry to a degree for Sasha because she thinks she’s not worthy of love and affection and Jay is so patient with her and is determined to prove her otherwise …
Jay has his hands full because he’s also trying to protect Sasha from an outside threat but I like how despite their struggles there’s time for spice and fun 🔥
Sasha and Jay sure kept me on my toes , enjoy them 🥰😉

Whispered Surrender is a fantastic book containing two amazing stories Wayward and Undercover by the very talented Via Mari.
Wayward
I was hooked from beginning to end with this thrilling and exciting dark mafia read! It had everything I love in a story and more! I was swept along with the characters story and also to all of the places their story took me! The authors writing was beautifully detailed, I could imagine all of the places she was describing. I did feel like I really knew the main characters Jay and Sasha and I was so invested in their story from the past to the present to their future.
I have read quite a few books by this author and she never fails to bring me a story that I love but I can honestly say that this one is absolutely my favourite of hers – it was simply an outstanding read! It has gotten me very excited for what’s to come from the series and I cannot wait!!

I absolutely LOVED this story! It is yet again another amazing read by the very talented Via Mari! I was hooked from beginning to end and I could not put it down at all! I loved Marenah and Matt! Their story was definitely full of action and a lot of steamy moments! I love how Ms Mari has intertwined characters from her other two series into this new one – although it is not necessary to have read them this book reads perfectly as a standalone.
I thought Marenah was a fantastic character, so strong, independent and she could definitely hold her own when it came to it! I loved reading about her!
I think I fell in love with Matt pretty much straight away! There was just something about him, so genuine and likeable.
The moment that Marenah and Matt met I just knew (and hoped) that there would be something between them, apart from the attraction and chemistry there seemed to be something a little deeper there.
I am really looking forward to reading more from this series and as always this author! I 100% recommend this amazing read to others!

Marenah holds a powerful secret which can destroy the two families of the mafia, but they are determined to she her dead. Can the one person she has trusted help her keep alive and can she push down the feelings for this man or will they destroy each other in the process.
OMG I have come to believe that this author is a genesis in the suspense and thrilling nature of her books and these two books do not disappoint. The books are well written as always and holds just enough sexual chemistry, intrigue and thrilling turns to hold your attention all the way through each book. I could not put these books down.
I always love the powerful female characters and Sasha and Marenah are no exception with the vunerability with the added strength is beautiful to read and although Jay and Matt are Alpha male character you have to love a flawed hero at the best of times and these two are said males.
I can't wait to read more books in this series or by this wonderful author, thank you.

There are two books in this one - believe me the excitement I felt when I realised that! And they both correlate to one another, and I don't know there was just something so... Wholesome and appealing, reading both stories consecutively. They just go.
There's something so satisfying reading when a man wants to take care of their woman: in the form of every day life activities and pleasure.
The stories itself.. By golly. I don't want to spoil it so you'd have to read it yourself, but the style in which Via wrote - and after reading both stories one after the other - the events that happen in the books coincide with each story - which I found impressive as made me understand what was happening in each book, and at the end was able to understand the events in both storylines.
This was my first ever read of Via's. Even though Whispered Surrender is the first book in the Sinful Duets series, as well as a standalone- I had discovered whilst reading that in fact these are a spinoff from her Prestian Series and Torzial Affair series. After researching more in to the deep dark rabbit hole that is all things Via, I realized that the Prestian/Torzial timelines are before this. Perhaps in hindsight I should have read from the beginning of this whole rabbit hole in chronological order to understand the timeline more easier. As I said, this book is a standalone, but the characters from her previous works feature heavily in the book.
Alright, and now I'm off to go start from the beginning!

Whispered Surrender is a collection of two great reads about twin sisters Sasha and Marenah. I find it crazy how they both fell for guys who were best friends but at different times without even knowing eachother.
Wayward is a book about Jay and Sasha. As soon as Jay spotted Sasha on a recording he wanted to get to know her. There are so many moving parts in these books and they are full of fast paced action. Jay is running a team of guys protecting very important clients. Sasha is here In The states as a ballet dancer but she has very important family weather they acknowledge her and her twin or not. Jay and Sasha get to know one another and Jay is trying to keep Sasha safe. She falls for him but doesn’t really believe his feelings are real.
undercover is the second book which is about Matt and Marenah. Matt is undercover trying to get some information from some very important high profile guys in the mafia. His cover is blown and he’s in the basement of a bar beating beaten when he wakes up and there’s a beautiful blonde tied up next to him. He doesn’t know much about Marenah but he vows to help her escape and keep her safe. Matt and Jay are part of the same team and when Matt’s team is there causing a distaction, both Matt and Marenah are able to get away but they are taken away separately. Undercover confused me a bit at the end after everything happened and Marenah had to go back with Scottie and clear up some paperwork. Is Scottie one of the good guys or is he dirty like so many others. These were both great reads. Just like all the other books by this author, I loved them!

This is the first of the Sinful Duets books and features Wayward and Undercover from the Billionaire Bodyguards series.
Wayward is the first book and I was so happy to see some of my favorite characters from the two earlier series.
We know Jay from the Prestian series and holy cow, he is a lot more alpha than I was expecting. I think in my mind I pictures him as a teddy bear under all of the growling. I was so wrong but it works for him.
Sasha was a hot mess in our previous encounters with her and again at the beginning of this book, but she grew on me a lot and though at times I wanted to shake her, I saw a lot of growth in her as the story progressed.
Great way to begin this next series and I can't wait to see who falls next.
Undercover is the second book. We finally get Matt's story. I fell hard for Matt when he was protecting Jenny in The Torzial Affair series and that love has only grown since then.
Marenah is also a not new character if you read Sasha and Jay's story. She is so much more than I expected her to be, which goes to show that first impressions aren't always right. She has a knack for finding trouble and wanting to fix it.
Matt and Marenah are a hot couple. Their attraction is instantaneous and off the charts. There were a few time I had to put the book down to catch my breath.
I have been fortunate enough to read the two other series that this series is spun from so I know who everyone is and how they are all connected.
I highly recommend this book and series.

Wayward by Via Mari is the first book in the Billionaire Bodyguards Series. This book is full of drama and intrigue. It will have you hooked from the start and does not let go!
Via Mari is a relatively new author to me but is one that I have already become hooked on. And this book is probably the best so far. I loved everything this book had going on. Right from the start I knew I was going to be in for a ride. The book had loads of drama. You could feel the tension and the chemistry between the characters.
In the best way possible I honestly felt like I didn’t know what was going on or what was going to happen. This author keeps you on the edge of your seat and firmly behind the characters. Which is amazing given that I didn’t really care much either way about Sasha in the Torzial Affair.
This was a brilliant book and a great way to start a new series.

This is a duet of Wayward and Undercover. These stories feature twin sisters, a private security team, the mafia and even more. These characters are well written and help to move the stories along. It is filled with thrills and suspense that suck you in from the first sentence and left me with a book hangover when I was done reading. It was the kind of story you hate to put down.
Wayward is the first story, it features Sasha and Jay. Sasha has an interesting back story that really sucked me in. She is an unwanted daughter of a Mafia Boss. But she wants to get to know her father and infiltrates the family. This opens her up to be used as a pawn. Jay is a complex character who really added to the drama of the story. This story is so fast paced and I enjoyed every sentence.
Undercover is the second story, which is told on the same time line was Wayward. This means that there is overlap between events. This features Marenah and Matt. Marenah is also a twin but she has very different feelings about her father. She wants to bring him down no matter the cost. Whispered Surrender is Book One in the Sinful Duets Series. This is a collection of previous books by this author called Wayward and Undercover. It is a dark mafia romance with action, suspense, danger, drama, secrets, sizzling chemistry, and intense passion. The first story is about the characters Sasha and Jay. Sasha is a ballerina with low self esteem and trust issues due to being used and discarded by men. Jay is a bodyguard who is strong, smart, and has watched Sasha from afar. He will do anything to keep his beloved angel, as he calls her, safe from one of the numerous powerful enemies that are after them. Sasha struggles to believe that Jay could care for her but the attraction between them is undeniable. Can the two have a relationship through the danger and chaos? Both stories overlap and intertwine as Jay is looking for his friend Matt. The second story is about Matt and Merenah. Matt is undercover trying to gather intel on the mafia. When he is captured by the Russian mafia it is up to Jay to try to save him. While undercover he falls in love with Sasha’s sister, who is a mafia princess. He immediately is beguiled by her beauty and falls in love with her. Matt and Merenah both carry deep, dark secrets so this makes them wary of letting their guards down with one another. A dark mafia/bratva romance which had me captivated throughout. I loved the fact that this was two books in one as it meant I could ‘binge read’ them! Book one tells Jay and Sasha’s story, Jay protects people for a living but it’s just a job, until he meets Sasha. When she ends up on the wrong side of the mafia Jay is determined to keep her safe. Then claim her even if it means going up against one of the most notorious crime families. Book two is Sasha’s twin sister Marenah and Matt’s story. Matt comes across Marenah whilst on an undercover assignment, but as the granddaughter of the head of the Russian Bratva she’s not exactly who she appears to be. However, Matt is one of the most feared and ruthless protectors in the business and is determined to claim, her even if she is an off-limits mafia princess.
I did fall in love with both Sasha and Marenah, two fearless women and Jay and Matt the men who will do anything to protect them. The storylines and plot in both stories kept me gripped, and the characters and settings were brought vividly to life through the descriptive narrative. The fiery and passionate chemistry between the couples really came across, and I loved how their relationships developed throughout the stories. An enjoyable and engaging read, where each story and couple have a guaranteed HEA!

Whispered Surrender (Sinful Duets Book 1) by Via Mari. I love anything by this author and anything Mafia so this was a book made in Heaven. I loved every second of it. The first story is Wayward about Sasha and Jay. I thought Sasha was a snot because she is a beautiful ballerina but when you really get to know her she's not. Jay fell for her the minute he saw her but she only had eyes for her boss. How will Jay every get her to see him for the decent guy he is? Sasha is wrapped up in herself and Jay is doing security for the Mafia. Will the good guy win in this romance? The second story was Undercover and its the story of Matt and Marenah. Marenah is Sasha's twin sister and is a lot nicer than Sasha. Many people are after Marenah to kill her. Matt and Marenah meet when the Chicago mafia kidnap them and meet back up in Russia. Marenah has a huge secret and she will do anything to keep it. Matt finally figures out who Marenah is and their chemistry is off the charts. He tries to dig as deep as he can to get to know her to find out her secret. Will he ever discover the truth and if he does will he feel about her the same way. These stories will keep you flipping pages until the very end. Amazing book!

This book is a dark, spicy suspenseful romance. It actually has two stories in the same book. Wayward and Undercover. The first part is Wayward which is the story between Jay and Sasha. Jay is a bodyguard for very important Mafia men. Sasha is a Russian ballerina who wants in with her father. She tried to do this on her own but now she knows a lot of family secrets , ones that could even get her killed. Jay becomes obsessed with Sasha at first sight and makes it his mission to keep her safe. Sasha isn't so sure about it, she gives him a lot of kick back and continuously tries to push him away. The story is told in dual POVs which is my absolute favorite. Part two of the book is Undercover, which is the story of Matt and Sasha's twin sister, Marenah. Matt is an undercover bodyguard who is there for Marenah. Their connect is instant, unlike Sasha and Jays. Marenah is caught and help captive by the Chicago Mafia. Matt is determined to keep her safe. The book is super fast paced and impossible to put down. The stories are taking place at the same time and often overlap throughout the story so you have to pay attention to keep up but its amazing. This is the first book I've ever read from the author but because of it I fully intend to read more soon. Highly recommend.

Wayward is the story of Jay the head of security and a born protector and dominant whom has never been one to become obsessed or needy when it comes to the many women in his life. There is just something about Sasha.
Undercover is the story of Matt and how he met Marenah whilst undercover. Matt is being held whilst undercover by Chicago Mafia’s goons. The head of whom is none other than the twins dad!! Clues that Marendah sends to Sasha via her friend is enough for Jay and his team to break them both free.
There is some pretty heavy sex scenes in both novels as well as a lot going on with the underlying Mafia storyline. I do believe that you need to read all of Via Maria’s previous novels to be able to truly follow along with the characters that are mentioned and referenced. As a lot of the time I think the background of these characters whom have been in previous novels would help to give you a better perspective on the background of what’s going on.
I will for sure be going back and reading to catch myself up.

Jay & Sasha
You can read this collection without having to read the other series associated with it, but if you want to know more about the characters you should read other works by this author.
When I first ran across the Sasha character (in a previous series), I didn’t like her very much. She was creating a lot of drama. In this story, you get a better understanding of why she is the way she is. I changed the way I felt about her in this book.
As you read this story you are likely to feel a wide range of emotions. The story keeps up a good pace and has characters you can connect to. Suspense, steamy scenes, danger…overall a great read.
Matt and Marenah
There were a couple of parts toward the beginning that grated on me a little, but it wasn’t enough to ruin the whole story. It starts off with a bang and maintains a good pace throughout. This is an amazing read. I love the you don't have to wait long for the next book in a duet. The fact that this is both books in one makes it so, so, so much better. This book has everything from suspense to steam. I am all about a few really hot bodyguards falling in love. Since they are body guards I both books, you can imagine that there are going to be twists and turns that you don't see coming. I love when a book can make me think a certain thing is going to happen and then completely blows me out of the water when it doesn't. I couldn't put this down until I was done reading it. It has me getting angry along with the characters, shocked by some events, chewing my nails trying to figure out what is gonna happen next, and fanning my face because the heat just pours off the pages. If you like fast paced, jaw dropping stories, this book is for you. If you don't want to wait to get the next book, this book is for you. I honestly read it and it felt like it was just a continuation, even though there was a focus on other characters. It is seamlessly written and is definitely going to be an author I keep tabs on.

Sasha, a beautiful Russian ballerina, falls on the wrong side of the mafia. Whispered Surrender by Via Mari is two books that will grab you and not let you go. Add in amazing and HOT bodyguards and the girls that they WANT and NEED to protect! I highly recommend this read and YOU will NOT be disappointed!!

I’m always guaranteed of a unputdownable read when I dive into one of her stories, and that’s certainly the case for this book too.
