The kisses make me cringe, with the age gap. I know she's a regression, but ick. I was hoping it would stay sensible. Mainly in this one for the art, Rave and the shock on everyone's face when Jill plays all knowing defender. Snapping the spear was comical, as was the emperor fainting from rejection. It was a bit angsty story wise and the glasses guy creeps me out.

This wasn't a bad volume, but I'm dropping this series
I thought I could handle the creepy age gap romance, but considering that the romance is getting serious now, I just can't pretend that I'm okay with it.
This is a me thing and I don't fault anyone else for continuing with this series, its just not for me.

This series continues to be both cute and funny, and really creepy. We finally learn what Hadis's curse is about and Jill uses her knowledge of the future and her fighting skills to save both him and the empire. And then there's the creepy 'love-story'. Readers know Jill is sixteen in a ten-year-old's body, but Hadis doesn't. He's confessing his love to a child, even if she doesn't behave like one. Really, why couldn't the premise be that she was over twenty and returned at sixteen. This would be much more enjoyable then. Still, it's interesting to follow how they both learn to process feelings and understand one another. He's a borderline psychopath in a bunny outfit and she's a betrayed general who only knows war. Not an easy basis for a relationship.

I know some series have some questionable tropes, but this age gap was just creepy and mildly funny at first, but now its getting to where feeling are actually coming to the front and to being acted on, is making it so much worse..... I'm still intrueged by the overall premise of the goddess of love and dragon God of reason so I'm going to keep going with the series but their relationship can't go any further than it has or else I'm done.

Petite fantasy drôle et fraîche, n'eut été cette différence d'âge entre les personnages, je la trouverais mignonne et amusante, là elle me dérange quand même un peu aux entournures.

Basée sur l'idée d'une guerrière qui se réincarne suite à un terrible combat et devient proche, très proche de celui à l'origine de sa mort, je n'aurais rien contre l'idée si on ne nous imaginait pas une relation entre une enfant et un adulte. J'en cherche encore l'intérêt... C'est quand même dérangeant de se dire qu'on ne pouvait pas au choix 1/ avoir un empereur à l'apparence aussi jeune que son esprit pour matcher avec l'héroïne ; ou 2/ avoir une héroïne plus proche de lui en âge malgré la malédiction des 14 ans, qui au passage aurait pu être la malédiction des 18 ou 20 ans... Ce goût pour la quasi-pédophilie est vraiment à questionner...

Bref, heureusement l'histoire est mignonne, amusante même. Les auteurs jouent pas mal de l'immaturité affective de l'Empereur dans chaque phase de l'histoire, ce qui rend celle-ci rigolote malgré les tensions politiques et magiques de ce tome. En effet, nos héros sont menacés de toutes parts, d'abord du pays dont est originaire Jill, mais aussi par la déesse qui souhaite garder Gerald rien que pour elle.

Nous avons ainsi droit à de jolis combats, des tensions qui se veulent joliment épiques, le tout dans un contexte magique et guerrier, impliquant toute la ville, de son prince et ses soldats, jusqu'à la population et Jill qui vient défendre tout le monde. C'est très très classique mais joliment orchestré, avec de beaux combats à l'épée et à la lance, des interventions de mi-dragon, de la magie, etc.

En plus, les sentiments se dévoilent avec une Jill qui réalise son attachement et un Gerald qui continue à l'exprimer à sa façon. C'est rapide, classique, mais si on parvient à mettre de côté leur différence d'âge, ça fait du bien de voir un être qu'on a voulu aussi seul que Gerald trouver enfin quelqu'un avec qui partager sa vie, mais également être reconnu pour ce qu'il est et non l'image qu'on a donné de lui auprès du peuple. On a donc de belles avancées ici.

Sympathique fable fantasy revisitant les princes et objets maudits, ce troisième tome offre action, émotion et avancée de l'histoire. Il est toujours regrettable que le postulat de départ mette en scène des personnages avec un tel écart d'âge obligeant à des scènes qui se veulent mignonnes mais sont limites. Cependant, le reste bien que très classique est bien fait et divertissant. Une première partie se conclut ici.

The goddess starts making her moves, but that reveals a few more answers for Jill and sets things in motion for both Jill and Hadis to recognize their feelings more. It's a tad disorienting how Camilla keeps calling Jill "Jilly" here, though don't recall that in the light novels. Suspect it's to be cute as she's still a child, but it just seems strange, especially when almost everyone else uses her name except when Hadis was still calling her his amethyst and Rave who calls her girlie a lot (replacing "missy" from the novels). Some of the characters look rather different than mental pictures were built up as from the novel descriptions, but in some ways that makes this even more interesting. Hadis and Jill are just starting to communicate as well, so we see even more emotions and reactions. The bonus chapter for this volume includes the introduction of Hadis Bear and Sauté, both who are perhaps somewhat childish leanings but also protection and comfort sources for Jill.

Still love the series!

I have to say my favorite part was the bonus chapter where they finally introduced the Hadis-Bear and Saute. They are some of my favorite characters in The light novels. This volume wraps up the first goddess encounter at the Port City. I hope the other volumes come out fast, will be soon approaching some of the content from the light novels that were absolutely fabulous! Can't wait

Still a really fun read. I like that this series balances cute moments with actual tension and consequences. It’s dramatic, fast-paced, and exactly the kind of fantasy manga that’s easy to binge.
