"This book is temptation incarnate." - Top Pick, The Romance Reviews
When college student Chevon takes an impulsive road trip, she finds herself lost in a thick, unpredictable fog. Out of nowhere, the Everlasting Inn appears. The remote house on the cliffs is a haven, yet it evokes erotic thoughts and a haunting sense of déjà vu. The hazy memories consume Chevon, arousing her and tempting her. She takes a job at the inn and when the sexy new owner shows up, she remembers what she’s been craving. And why…
When taking the Myers-Briggs personality test in high school, Kimberly was rated as an INFJ (Introverted-Intuitive-Feeling-Judging). This result sent her into a panic, because there were no career paths recommended for the type. Fortunately, it turned out to be well-suited to a writing career. Since receiving that dismal outlook, Kimberly has become an award-winning author of romance and erotica. She has written for seven publishing houses, both domestic and international, and has recently focused her efforts on the exciting world of self-publishing. When not writing, she enjoys movies, sports, traveling, music, and sunshine. In her mind, a beach, some rock 'n' roll, and a good book make for a perfect day.
Hot, intense, quickie! I don't normally read paranormal, but the blurb drew me and I wasn't disappointed. Some super hot spices in the bedroom and elsewhere, clean editing, smooth writing style, and a flowing plot all add up to a great late night entertaining read.
EVERLASTING by Kimberly Dean is filled with a lot of sexual content, but it has a skillful written plot that kept me reading. A haunting romance that will lead the reader into an interesting tale filled with just a touch of suspense. Once Chevon arrived at the Inn, she suddenly felt as if a presence was with her, and that she had been guided to the Inn, but by whom or what she couldn’t tell. Could it be a ghost of someone from her past having a difficult time forgetting her? Things just weren’t the same since her last visit to the old inn, but something familiar about the place kept creeping through her mind. She just couldn’t quite figure out what it was. Will Chevon be able to fight the energy trying to consume her? One scene that put me on the edge of my seat was when Chevon was driving through the thick fog trying to find a place to pull over. But the fog had left her so she couldn’t see that well because the heaviness of it had gathered around the car like a choking thick haze. I could feel her nervousness as she was trying to look beyond the whiteness to maybe try and figure out where she was. It was like the fog was trying to eat the car in order to get to her. Who or what could be out there in the fog that wanted her so bad? Another incident that made me wonder what was going on was when she was out walking on the beach and suddenly spied something in the water that suddenly turned around, after she yelled, toward the land to where she was. That part of the story intrigued me, and I had to see what was coming up next. What could it be that was trying to reveal itself to her? Is Chevon in a risky situation? Could her life be threatened? A very good read.
I thought this was a very good book for a quick read. I don't normally read paranormal books but this one had an intriguing story. It was romantic and sexy with some steamy scenes. My only problem with the book is I wish it was longer.
This magical story had a slow start but once I was in, the heat fired up fast. I thought the sex was hot and the pull between the characters was intense. Nice short and sweet treat.
