Max talks a lot about drinking/alcohol in this book. I felt like he was normalizing it more than condemning it. I approach alcohol as a “standing in the door” type of thing, that should just be avoided, so his frequent (wine was referenced on the third page of the book) and flippant mention of it bothered me.

Nonetheless, I continued reading the book. It was nice to be reminded that God isn’t looking for saints, he deals with sinners, but I felt like the book didn’t fully resolve.
