I liked the engaging storytelling and the positive messages. I seldom read about history and politics, but this book was worth it. The author loves the US, and it is apparent throughout the book. I am a South African and I do not know all the US history, but I enjoyed feeling the loyalty the author has to the US and learning about the reasons why (all the great values).
A treasure trove of American stories, most of which I had never read before. Gives a glimpse into our rich American history and those who helped to form our great Republic, with suggestions on how we can also contribute and become better Americans in the process. Highly recommend! Great gift for Christmas.
These are stories that put together with more meaning what I have learned in American History. I won't give anything away, but many tidbits I never knew!! This should be required reading in all highschools.
